Hi,

Today I have taken my brother to AMRI, Salt Lake. They suggested to admit him but due to monetary issue we couldn't do that. Due to this the staffs at reception of emergency ward behaved so rudely. Even they insulted my father who is 65yrs old, attacked personally saying they doubt whether he even worked anywhere in his lifetime or not though my father is an ex navy personel and also worked with LIC as an admin officer.
How this kind of things can even be tolerated where people are spending their hard money just to have a good treatment? If anyone can rectify this thing kindly help and take some actions against such unprofessional staffs.

The ambulance No Wb04H8492 of Amri Hospital Salt Lake was driving very roughly and rashly in EMBypass at around 9:25am on 18 Jun 2021 and when we told the driver to drive properly he countered us with a very bad behaviour. An Ambulance driver should be known for driving sensibly and with good behaviour as he is to carry patients

They did the worst thing to us.. My father in law 71yrs old & they give us a date on 11th Jun 21 for operation. And it was in a cash of 88000 & 14000. They try to sign us for a petition where was written we can not claim under Swasthya Sathi if the amount raise. We just ask why is this where we are ready for operation in Cash...& Didnt want to sogn the paper. Then boom!! They just excuse us by that there is no availability of BED & OT Bed.

            Dear Sir,

Sub: Discrepancies in the Certificate as issued by AMRI Hospital, Mukundapur and as downloaded from COWIN Portal!

I, Biplab Sengupta (Reference ID[protected]; Aadhar No.[protected]; Mobile [protected]) took first shot from AMRI Hospital, Mukundapur on 2/3/2021

On 16/4/2021, i was administered the 2nd dose at AMRI Hospital, Mukundapur and was given a hand written certificate and was instructed to download proper certificate from COWIN portal after couple of days.

However, when I downloaded the certificate from COWIN portal, it shows that i have only been given the 1st dose 0n 16/4/21 and the 2nd dose is due from 14/5/2021 to 11/6/21?

I understand it must be a data entry problem but unless it is solved immediately, we will not be able to download the proper certificate.

Please note, I am holding a ticket to USA by Air India to meet my daughter ( my only child) and they are not accepting certificates unless it is downloaded from COWIN portal with QR code. I would be much obliged if you could kindly help me out at the earliest.

            With Best personal regards

It’s highly disheartening to know that no proper arrangements are done for the consultants diagnosing the COVID patients wherein their safety is utmost important and proper care should be provided to the health workers. Basic needs like providing with quilt, pillow, meal arrangement should be in proper order so that they can have the basic amenities too. If they fall sick then who will take care of the patients ? Please be mercy to the doctors and have such arrangements in proper order.

Dr Rajarshi Ray mentally harassed me with very uncouth and unprofessional attitude. He tried to shut my mouth stating that I have made a big catch in the name of Dr Mahesh Bowali. He needs to know that we patients are getting his service by paying the hospital. He was behaving as if he was giving free service to me. I will take up the matter against him at Swasthya Bhavan, Govt of West Bengal and ensure that he is no more allowed to practice in AMRI Hospitals Salt Lake or any other unit of AMRI.

The medical superintendent of AMRI should reprimand him and take suitable action against this ruffian doctor. He is not a doctor at all. He behaves like a goon. A shame on the hospital for keeping goons like him on their medical rolls.

It's more than 24 hrs still I have not received any report of covid test done yesterday. Most surprising that nobody can give a clear idea that from where I can get the report online or by what time I can get it. I had a talk with customer care executive several times but alas all effort goes in vein.
Hospital authority should not take this issue so casually. Consumer have every right to know when they are paying for it in advance.

Please note that i admitted my father (radha kant khandelwal) in hospital in amri salt lake in bed no 2708 on 2nd of april' 2021 as he was covid positive.
Unfortunately he fell from his bed on 7th morning and as per doctors he suffered fracture / dislocation. But in spite of this, hospital is not taking care of orthopaedic treatment and i was asked to discharge the patient. The hospital staff told me that they will not provide orthopaedic treatment in spite of the fact that the patient is in unbearable pain and is not able to move at all.
They are constantly pressuring me to discharge the patient. I fail to understand this kind of behaviour from a reputed hospital. They should do the required treatment as how i am suppose to take the patient home in such condition. I have consulted other hospital and they are not ready to take in covid positive patient for orthopaedic treatment.
I want amri hospital, salt lake to give me in writing that they want to shift the patient out of this hospital in his present condition.
Amri saltlake should provide me alternative hospital who will admit the patient and will do the required treatment.

Aren't you value timing or their staffs are just incompetent at their job??

The government has laid down guidelines for vaccine. My old parents registered on CoWin and also scheduled for today’s afternoon slot. But in the Dhakuria centre every one just with a registration and no slot booking made to queue up like walk in. No preference given to confirmed slot booking in the app. Old people above 60 made to wait for hours in the open area. This is criminal.
I will be submitting a report to the health secretariat at the state level as well as the centre on blatant violation of specified guidelines.

I had ACL surgery in AMRI salt lake. Dr. Priya Nayar was the anaesthetist who did regional anaesthesia i.e. in spinal cord. Due to her incompetence I am now bed ridden. The site of anaesthesia is burning and giving pain so much that I can barely walk or sit.

I had my ACL surgery with Dr. Kanchan Bhattacharya on 21.12.2020. I had regional anaesthesia. After few days of surgery pain started at the place of anaesthesia and it is spreading. I have severe dry eyes syndrome for which extra care was required during surgery which the anaesthetist did not take in spite of requesting many times. She is not only careless, she is incompetent for her own job.

My wife have pain in abdomen, so she was admitted in emergency casualties at 7am. From 7am till 8 pm they don't offer any water to her, they only gave half of one litre saline water. At 3pm they offered meal to her. They harassed me till 4pm for admission of my wife. Managers are not at all professional, they don't know how to explain things to patient. They don't tell everything at a time. They don't give any food, water from 3pm to 8 pm to patient. At 8 pm they gave water and patient is waiting for food, I don't know when it will come. So sad For AMRI BBSR as claiming world class hospital.

Address: No. 97 A, Southern Ave, Opposite Lake Stadium, Lake Market, Kalighat, Kolkata, West Bengal 700029

Mr. Santi Mangol Mukherjee, a super senior citizen aged 87, had visited Dr. Sudipta Mitra at AMRI Southern Avenue on 29.08.2020 with complaints of poor, blurry vision. Dr. Mitra had conducted a test, recommended a power checkup for his spectacles and said that a laser procedure was necessary. Mr. Mukherjee complied and had the laser done. Also, he ordered a new pair of spectacles with lens of the prescribed optical power. Dr. Mitra advised him to come back for a follow-up after he received his new spectacles. During the days that followed, his eyes had inflammed severely and they were itchy. These subsided over an extended period of two weeks. Mr. Mukherjee went for the follow-up on 15.09.2020. He reported all the symptoms to Dr. Mitra, and she conducted another eye test and advised him to wear the glasses at all times. As he came out of the hospital, however, the same symptoms reappeared within a one hour window; inflammed and itchy eyes. Furthermore, his vision became extremely blurry even with glasses on. The entire face looked disfigured. When these did not subside in over two weeks, Mr. Mukherjee made another appointment with Dr. Mitra and visited her on 03.10.2020. This time, she conducted her own tests and then asked him to recheck the power, sending him to the optometrist. The optometrist, however, said that it was not possible to check the power as he already had eye drops administered for the initial checkup which makes one's vision blurry. Mr. Mukherjee was thus asked to come back after a month. Since then, he has been in terrible discomfort, with inflammation around his eyes and extremely poor vision. He even reported that his vision is poorer than what it was prior to all treatment. He has had to travel all the way from Sampa Mirza Nagar to Southern Avenue three times, amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation, pay a hefty fee every time, all upto no avail. In addition, his vision is poorer than it initially was! Can this be called any short than harrasment? An elderly patient, of his age, with all sorts of co-morbidities that makes him enormously vulnerable to Covid, he is made to travel to the hospital this many times without any improvement whatsoever. This is highly irresponsible of the doctor concerned, as well as of the organisation as a whole. We expect immediate compensation for this kind of treatment.
