Andhra Bank — Inconvinience to the valued customer reg. | |||
I, S. Padmavathi, with the account no. [protected], havie the account with the Andhra Bank VMV branch. I had issued a bearer cheque to one of my customers, Dr. M.L.Niharika for an amount of Rs.1, 50.000/-. The said customer tried to en-cash the cheque at NIM's Branch at Hyderabad. It was a Flexi Account cheque, which should have been honored immediately. But the Bank refused to pay the amount saying that there was not enough balance. The said customer rang me up saying that she could have filed a criminal case against me. This is outrageous as I am very much sure I have had the balance in my account. This was very insulting. After confirming the balance amount and informing the matter to the NIM's Branch. Later the cheque was honored. But this was an insulting incident as I was accused of giving a cheque for the amount WITHOUT enough balance in my account. I would like to complain that the clerk concerned SHOULD have checked the account properly, if there was any doubt or disparity regarding the signature or any other matter, I should have been contacted, rather than giving wrong information that there was NOT ENOUGH BALANCE. This is very a careless act by the Bank, NIM's branch of Andhra Bank. I demand the grievance is redressed properly in writing Was this information helpful? | |||
