Apollo Munich Health Insurance — claim not given

I am having apolo munich policy from 2014 or before that with four family member
After getting married in 2017 i was being told to port out from and take another apollo munich policy of me and my wife as the agent said we did it.

I was confirmed that policy will be in continuity with my previous policy from apollo munich 2011 and the new policy will be effective.

On 13 the dec 2018 i was being admmited to hospital and i was going to be operated for hernia
Before that i called the agent on 7th dec 2018 and told him that the operation will be done in next week in breach candy hospital we told him to do the formality and inform apollo munich about this he told there is nothing to be informed you go and get operated after that everything will be done as he said we did the operated made all the documents ready and submitted to the apollo munich insurance for claim they rejected the claim by saying that the operation that has been done it needed 2 years old policy of this then only it can be claimed i informed them that i am connected to apollo since 2014 and this policy is not a new policy it just that i have ported from the family and made a new policy of me and my wife
It was the agent mistake but they said we will consider this as a new policy and i won't be allowed for claim

It's your agent mistake or your company training mistake that your agent doesn't know all the terms and condition so as per this please look it this matter and please make sure that appolo munich will provide the claim.

My humble submisson in the present case is as under

I was holding a policy prior to existing one and accordingly proceeded with the procedure like making premium payment in advance. Having the policy similar amount and terms as per apollo munich
I am connrcted to apollo from last 5 year its just that i just ported out as i got married but clearly informed the agent that the continuity will be carried he said yes.

The company would have approached to me for claification/documentation but instead of that conveniently they have decided to ignore the portability clause and treated the policy as new.

You will appreciate that such unilateral decision can not be imposed or can not be accepted as an excuse to deny a claim.

I have paid rs.253000/- (Rs. Two lakh fifty three thousand towards hospitalization
And seek your help to recover the same
