Refusal by this chemist to provide a particular medicine ultracet has been an issue for a long time, even after showing an image of the prescription. However today 6th february 2020, i visited the apollo pharmacy, munnekolala-3, marathalli, bangalore store in the evening with my wife with the prescription from apollo spectra hospital bangalore for two medicines. Upon reading the prescription the chemist said that its not a prescription of today's date (6th february 2020) and so will not provide the medicines. I am recovering from my surgery on my left leg and walk using a single handed crutch, which is difficult and painful.
The date on the prescription is 25th january 2020, and the medicines that i wanted have been prescribed for 20 days. The chemist showed me a notice outside the pharmacy that they discourage and do not sell medicines without prescriptions and specially drugs that are habit forming. So, i understand the motive behind the notice which is good for society and humanity, however when a prescription is provided, the chemist should provide the medicine. Was this information helpful? |
