Waiting at the counter and not being attended despite there are free attendants in the shop is a very common experience I get at many places. The attendants simply keep talking to each other or try to pretend that they are busy and simply ignore the customer as a habit. I have this experience at many shops. Many a times if the product you are asking is not with them they just don't even make an eye contact and pretend that they did not hear. When you repeatedly ask for the product they coldly say not available. I think one needs to delve deep into the shopkeepers psychology to really understand this unprofessional behavior.
