[Resolved] Apollo Tyres — Apollo tyre - case of bribe (replacement under warranty) | |||||
I own a maruti suzuki india ltd. Vitara brezza since 27 feb 2017. The car is fitted with apollo tyres and recently a sidewall bubble (Image 1 attached) occurred in one of the tyres. I took my car to akanksha automobiles (Authorized maruti dealer) and an initial inspection by them made it clear that the tyre had a manufacturing defect. They referred the case to kukku tyres, moradabad road, kashipur and we went to the apollo dealer with the receipt provided by suzuki authorized dealer (Image 2 attached). To our surprise, below is the sequence of incidents happened at the apollo dealer- • kukku tyres asked us to pay rupees 1500 bribe and resolve the issue at the first priority. • the apollo engineer saurabh paliwal, [protected], did not have any explanation of such charges and did not have any documents justifying these charges. He also insisted on paying money and get the issue resolved instantly. Note: he saw the sidewall bubble and agreed to the fact that it was a manufacturing defect. • the tyre has been with the apollo dealer (Kukku) from 28th may and since we did not pay any charges (Obviously as there was no justification provided) he didn’t bother to provide any update. • on 2nd june 2017, we escalated the issue to apollo tyres social media team through messenger (Image-3 & 4 as screenshot attached). Next day, the tyre dealer (#kukku) called us and questioned us about the escalation and literally it was more of a threat (Image-5 as screenshot attached). Just after his call we got a call from apollo engineer who again assured us to resolve the issue on sunday (I. E. On 4th june 2017). We were suspicious as the tyre dealer was not happy with the escalation and also we didn’t pay him a bribe of 1500 rupees. • on 3rd june 2017, another apollo engineer, mr. Deepak ([protected] & [protected]) called us and informed that your tyre has a cut in the middle. He shared the pictures of the same over whatsapp (Image-6, 7 & 8 attached) and told that the claim is unacceptable. Now, this cut was a shock to us as it was never there. The apollo engineers have been looking at the tyre since 28th may and they got to know about the cut on 3rd june 2017? #frauddealerkukku • the photos shared by deepak (Apollo engineer) captures a guy holding the tyre and has a sharp tool with him (Refer image6, 7 & 8). This cut was never there and has been made by the fraud dealer #kukku and out of anger over the escalation. Had this cut been there, they would not have asked 1500 as depreciation charges (Bribe) at first. Also the cut made by them on tyre is clearly visible and the tyre is unacceptable to us in this condition. • apollo tyre dealer kukku and engineer mr. Deepak are now asking for rs 3000 to replace the tyre. They are frauds who are trying to bully us by making new stories after a week long time. And today is 05 june 2017, now i don't get any response from your social media team as well as your customer care. I think my fault is only that i raised a concern through facebook to stop corruption & bribe and what i got in return is nothing. I am attaching all proof to validate the case but not getting any response. Paying rs.3, 000 or rs. 6, 000 is not a big deal for me but on a one side apollo is extending its footprints globally and i do support apollo as i am a shareholder of your company but on another side these type of cheap activities done by your employee and dealer just to proven that they are right and apollo tyre also supporting them and supports corruption & bribe.
