Dear Apple Support Team,
I am writing to formally escalate a highly frustrating and unacceptable service experience regarding my AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), originally purchased in the USA in July 2023 with AppleCare+ coverage.
As a medical professional with a demanding schedule, I invested in Apple’s premium ecosystem expecting reliability. Instead, I have been trapped in a cycle of receiving multiple defective units, and I am now being denied service despite raising my issues within the warranty timeline.
Here is the chronological breakdown of the issues:
Original Purchase & 1st Replacement: The original unit, despite gentle and minimal usage, suffered from severe battery drainage. In India, I was denied Express Replacement and had to leave the unit at an authorized service centre (iCare). The diagnosis confirmed a hardware issue, and the unit was replaced.
2nd Replacement: The replacement unit immediately exhibited defects—the left AirPod would randomly disconnect and suffered from audio distortion. It was diagnosed, confirmed faulty by your service centre, and replaced a second time under the 90-day replacement warranty.
Current Issue (3rd Unit): This third unit developed a new defect—Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) completely failed to function.
My Core Concerns & Direct Questions:
Honouring the Warranty Timeline: I explicitly raised multiple support tickets regarding the ANC failure well within the 90-day warranty timeline. Due to my intense schedule in the medical field, physically dropping off the device was slightly delayed, but the issue was documented in your system before expiration. Why is Apple refusing to honour a claim logged during the active warranty period?
Product Quality Control: Technically, every single one of the three units I have unboxed has been defective out of the box or shortly after minimal use. Are these replacements factory-new units or refurbished devices? It is highly statistical improbable for three consecutive brand-new premium devices to fail under minimal, gentle usage.
I have spent a significant amount of money (₹25, 000 INR / USD equivalent) on a premium product and AppleCare+, yet I have spent more time dealing with service centres than actually using the product.
I request a thorough review of my logged support tickets and a waiver to replace this currently defective unit. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution befitting Apple's global service standards.
