Hi,

We recently got our new house painted with royale paints and infact 4 coats on each wall. However, within 4 months it started showing black patches on the wall. We called the labors and they confirmed that the paint was defective. It cost us so much money and the shopkeeper is refusing to give us new paint. Can someone from you office help or look into this issue?

This is pure fraud and cheating. We have put a lot of your savings and you are tricking us and stealing our money. You sell your products with 5 years of warranty and this has happened within 4 months.

    poor workmanship of waterproofing and going back on warranty

    Asian paints after through inspection and promise provided water proofing solution with 5 years warranty. But the problem of seepage has started again and despite the work being covered under warranty for which i have the warranty card, asian paints is now denying any rectification citing that the issue cannot be serviced and warranty cannot be honored.
    This is plain cheating and fraud to fool the customers to get the money out with...

    Very disappointed with asian paints,
    I choose tractor emulsion paint, total cost they give me around 23500 where on official website of asianpaints showing price 6000 labor charges not included am adding 5000k for labor and everything for 2 days work so from my opinion it has to cost me around 11000 so why they charge 12500 extra,
    Just for brand.
    And after paying this much cost work is totally useless i waste my money seriously,
    I will not suggest asian paints to anyone.
    Nd please give my extra money back.

      I had painted my house in the month of april'19 using brand product of asian paints royale atoms suggested by company authorised stockist m/s sunil enterprises, siliguri but the paints started peeling off just after 4 months of painting.
      My house is painted for 4th consecutive times after construction of the building but had never such experience in the past and of course this is the first time using asian paints.
      Videos/photos attached for your perusal and suggest/request for strict compliance on quality of product and field level checks to be maintained at the highest order to avoid bad image of company in the market.

        complaints on asian premium emulsion

        We have painted asain premium emulsion paint on wall paint code (Pegion blue) we have painted 4 coats. But we see some lines in wall. Paint is not covered on wall.

        We found too many batches in walls. We really unsatisfied with asian paints. It's loss for us. What the hell is wrong with this paint. Totally 4coating of paint is wasted. If this complaint is not resolved, i will file a case in consumer court.

        Dear asian paints,

        My name is kencho and i am from bhutan. I am looking for an arbitrator within the asian paints, who will not take side of their employee because i feel that the customer care people and the technical team is colluded and i am not getting enough support. Due to which i request for some honest concerned personnel of asian paints to solve my problem. My story was that i was looking for a paint material, which can replace the tile on the walls in the shower area of the bathroom for some design concept. I have contacted pranabesh sarkar, cso-newb, tel: [protected] of asian paints and he confidently advised me to go for satin enamel paint along with other waterproofing materials and with instruction on application. With due diligence, i have followed his advice. Everything seemed fine until on the first day, we have operated the shower and within no time some parts of the wall has started to form blisters, which then i have immediately informed the dealer in jaigoan and pranabesh himself. He then told me that he misunderstood and thought i will be doing half wall tile and remaining wall will be paint where there's no contact with water. He kept saying that if he had understood that i am going to go for full paint on the wall then he wouldn't recommend in the first place. I have responded to his argument that if i am to do half wall tile and half paint, which the system already exist then why do i need to contact a company tech personnel in the first place? After visiting the site, he then advised me to go for apex ultima, which i had to bear the labour charges besides the inconveniences caused from the rectification work but i did warn him that if it fails again then the company will have to take the responsibility and as predicted it failed. When i filed another complaint asking to compensate then yesterday i got a response from a customer care services, which made me belief that pranabesh was actually aware of my request. So meaning all this time his reasoning on misunderstanding was just an excuse to escape. The customer care then tells me that i haven’t followed pranabesh’s full advise in doing a skirting on the wall either with net cementing or tile (Another story he lied) due to which the moisture was trapped and has caused the blister.in this regard can anyone tell me that the maximum height of 150 mm skirting can actually give the protection in the bathroom wall when the water is vertically falling from the shower head and is splashed all over the wall while taking a shower? Don’t you think that the moisture can seep from any part of the wall as long as there’s some porosity? This didn’t sound any logic to me. What i have realized was none of the asian paint products are manufactured to withstand such high pressure from the falling water, overcome huge generation of moisture from the steam of hot water. The first reason i got from pranabesh was that satin enamel was non-porous due to which the moisture was trapped within and the blister was formed. If moisture is the main culprit then why in the first place he recommended it? Everyone knows that there’s high moisture content in the shower area and that was the main reason why i have contacted asian paints if they have any such product, which can withstand any amount of moisture and can replace the tile. Secondly he thought that apex has porosity, it will breath out the moisture but this concept proved to be wrong as well.

        Fyi, i have informed that i was not advised in doing the skirting in the first place and the details of his email instruction was sent to customer care as a proof.

        I now feel that the particular team is taking a free ride on the expenses of the client and at the same time i felt that i am being used like a guinea pig. All i wanted was to compensate over the paint product, i have bought for the bathrooms and to refund the labour charges. But it seems that asian paints or the particular group of people are not going to reach my grievances to the genuine people of asian paints who actually cares about their customers and i had to take the resort of complaining it here.

        It’s now running into the third month since i have complained and so far i didn’t get any concrete support from the team i have contacted. So if there’s any honest employee of asian paints here then please respond to my grievances to which i have more to share with an evidences.

        I am not satisfied with the responses received from the customer care of Asian paints and i don't know how long do i have to wait here on consumer platform. However, i feel that it will be the same team who has responded to me in email who will also respond here. Therefore, i have decided to post their email whereby in one email, no instruction of skirting was mentioned but the other email they talk about as being advised under serial no. 1.
        I am also posting the pic of my bathroom circled in blue was the issue I am facing and the arrow pointing down was the silicone work done i have done, which I have explained below. This will be the proof from a client’s side that the issues raised was genuine and also a proof on how poorly Asian paint customer care responds. This will also be a caution to the entire future client, who will give a second thought before buying their product and believing in their so called tech team.

        They keep repeating their response and instruct me to do what they THINK has caused the problem but they are not confident or sure. They keep telling me that the blister was due to the moisture content and i find them stupid to say this because the area is in the shower and definitely there will be higher moisture content, which is why i have contacted Asian tech people in the beginning, if they have any such product which can withstand such moisture. Further they tells me that the moisture content on the wall was 20-25% at the time of inspection but did the person who have inspected the area even crossed his mind that at the time of his visit the shower was freshly used and the floor was found wet?

        I am also clueless that the customer care department keeps repeating that without the skirting there may have been a leak between the joints of the wall and the floor tile. They are also reasoning that because the silicone was used as a sealer between the gaps, they THINK water seeped through the silicone. I had a big laugh!!!

        To this I have informed that the tiles are firstly inserted 20 mm deep inside the wall and then all the gaps were filled with the bonding. Because of the stain from the bonding the edge was looking dirty so we had to use a stretch of silicone which can also act as water proofing and give a smooth edge look yet they have ignored to my explanation.

        They themselves being the manufacturer of silicone, i am surprised to hear from them that silicone can't give protection. In fact I would say they are better than the Asian paints. Nowadays glasses pans are joined and sealed by the silicone where even an air can't pass through forget the water. My shower glass partition were also sealed by silicone on the gaps formed between the glass and the wall and there's no single drop of water which seeps from inside to the other dry areas.

        If they are basing that the blister was formed due to poor work protection done on the supposed gap, then why didn’t their tech person objected when visited the site?? In fact he didn’t even ask me on silicone? All the while, he told me that he misunderstood that I will be doing half wall tile and half paint.

        Also when the second rectification work was done, Pranabesh didn’t mention to remove the silicone and do the skirting. So why all of a sudden they are giving me all the baseless excuses?

        Despite sending them an email proof that no skirting was advised, yet they are ignoring to read and told me that their team has advised. They keep instructing me that I should do a net cementing skirting on the base of the wall. I don’t see how a cement skirting can actually stop the water seeping inside the wall when cement wall has the highest porosity than any other materials available in the market. The current wall was plastered after that we did cement punning and then applied cement sealer and then applied rest of the products from Asian paints. Yet there’s a blisters formed randomly still they are telling me to do a cement skirting now and not wanting to believe that their product has failed or their employee has failed to do the due diligence. From my side, I tried to cooperate but with a condition that if it fails for the third time then will the concern will take the responsibility??? To this also they didn’t respond and simply tells me to do what they have instructed?? So definitely they are taking a free ride at my expenses. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND DEFINITELY THIS SITUATION WILL BE MADE AWARE TO ALL MY COUNTRYMEN THAT ASIAN PAINTS IS FULL OF EMPTY PROMISES AND ONLY KNOWS HOW TO CHEAT PEOPLE.

        Unfortunately my problem is not yet solved and here the status of my complaint has been marked as resolved...this is very strange. Your concerned team has been playing the game of a cat and mouse until today. After giving so much of time, they are still not able to solve the issue. The next step, i will have to do is sue the company.

          Paint was of poor quality, wasted 7 lit of paint and has to do again with royal shine. Shown the paint to dealer in noida who was helpless. After applying this paint to the wall i got trekker down with clear oil mark. There was some oil like material floating, initially we thought it was painter mistake but later realized it was the quality of paint

            We purchased the one piece ewc as per attached bill amount rs. 8000/-. We fitted tiles in bathroom keeping the distance from wall 228 mm up to the centre of outlet of ewc as per diagram provided by the asian paints company along with one piece ewc but now water tank has touched the wall as it is not aligned with the bottom of ewc. Hence it is not fitted.
            Now it ewc can be fitted only with after breaking tiles and centre of ewc outlet should be at the distance of 9.70 inches from the wall, then only it can be fitted.
            So we required the approximately rs. 2500/- expenses to be incurred for re fitting the tiles and the connecting pipe to outlet of ewc but the asian paints company which manufacturing the products in the name of bathsense is dening but we made the expenses as per the diagram provided by them to fix the ewc one piece which i bought as per our choice.
            So we request you to please provide the rs. 2500/- towards the expenses for refixing it, if not then provide me the rs. 15000/- as i am facing this problem for one month this has me given mental, sicial and economically harrassment by them.

              We, “holy paints” located at kakkur, kozhikode are an authorised wholesale dealer of asian paints since 01st april 2010 (Dealer code 280305). With regard to the service rendered to us by your company, we wish to inform you that :
              • a salesman has not visited our office in the last 6 months.
              • a new wholesale dealership was given in kakkur without any prior intimation to us.
              • the distance from our office to the new agency is just 50 metres.
              • no communication or explanation is given as to why a new dealership is given right next to our office.

              Considering the above mentioned matters, we have decided to formally raise a complaint against the behaviour of the company against us.
              Currently, we have a stock worth rupees fifteen lakhs. Considering that a new agency ws given right next door, we are unsure as to what we are to do with this stock.

                I have taken Asian Paints services last year (May 2018) for interior paintings. After couple of months I observed that color is peeling off from one of the walls, which I reported to the assigned project manager. He assured to visit and fix the issue, however after several follow-ups he didn't turned up.

                Finally, I logged a complain through Asian Paints customer care on 22-Mar-19 and following up since than to get my issue fixed. Customer care told me I will get a call in 24 hrs. I did not get a call even after a week.

                After following-up for 4-5 weeks finally one person visited my house and assured that the issue will be fixed in 7-8 working days. It's more that 2 months now since he has visited my place.

                I have called customer care at least 20 times in last 3 months (can check the logs if customer care system records every call), every time they transfer to complaint department and the person from complaint department assures me that someone will call me back by today evening and no one calls back.

                This is very frustrating, last year when I called Asian Paints for services, sales person was very prompt and used to follow-up with me every other day. Now since I have paid the money, Asian Paint is not at all bothered. What kind of warranty and services they are providing?

                It's been 9 months now and no one is bothered. I followed up with Asian Paints for few months and fed up. They never calls back.
                Last from day of painting services, no one is taking initiative for worrest services given by asian paints..after asian water proof still water is seen on walls

                  In last week of May 2019, Asian paint workers completed with painting job. Within 2 days of painting completion, peeling of colour started, the peeling of colour has increased so much that we are scared to even touch the walls. Very much disappointing work happened. Finishing is not at all proper. Not only we are disappointed about painting but also about other things they damaged. Firstly we found Various colour patches on comode pot, our comode's flap broken. Secondly our bathroom tiles also has some colour patches. Also curtain rode attachment got broken. The workers used our buckets to paint, hence our buckets turned dirty as well. Bathroom and toilet doors were newly bought and they made it look years old. They didn't bring their ladder and instead used our stool which was also newly purchased and damaged our stool a lot.
                  And ofcourse the last and major problem mentioned earlier about colouring, really worst experience. One should rather go for some local workers . I can't even think to give 1 star to Asian paints.

                  I want new dealerships

                  We recently painted our house and used Asian paints crack fill, Asian paints putty and Asian paints paint for the same. Not more than 3 months now and we have cracks on almost every wall of the house. We spent 55k on the entire painting process. This is pathetic. Please provide answers!!!

                    Highly disappointed with the outcome of texture wall very dull and lackluster.. Suggestion and consultation with the Asian paints person wasn't up to the mark. no value offered for the price..

                    i went personally to the Asian paints in bandra for the experience of the texture walls and the amount of options and huge displays are impressive but there's a lack of output when it comes to craftsmanship? I, m not sure if its the skills of the laborers or some thing else but just very upset with the outcome as you can see from the picture how sad its looking... even the regular walls that have some basic color on them are looking much better. expected a lot out Asian paints being so well known and offering so much variety but this was a bitter experience especially for the hefty amount that was charged for this very

                      There is a pending work which the supervisor of asian paints have sent an email as proof and promised to complete in couple of weeks. Later on the contractor delayed saying he did not have time and now they all are conveniently ignore the work and not picking up our calls.
                      Even raising a complaint to Asian paints company has not solved the problem.
                      They are neither completing the work nor following up on the issue we are helpless.

                      One of our wall paint become very rough, other walls are okay.need your technician for survey, also need rectification work on urgent basis. Dealer code from where we procured this paint is 111665.Our all walls are okay, but 1 wall is very shabby due to paint finish, need immediate solution.

                      I have painted a wall with same colour same product from 2 different boxes on same day, the next day i saw there is difference in both colour. Distributor says thats not his fault. Very dissapointed with this.. Would not recommend asian paint..

                        I have paid an advance of rs 20000 to paint my house and it told that the work will begin on 3rd june. But till now the work didn't start and i'm not getting any update on when the work will begin. The consultant person is not responsive and i have to call him multiple times and i rarely get a reply back that the work will begin from tomorrow. I 'm hearing the same answer from last three days. If you are not having enough labor please don't fool customers by forcing them to give the advance so that they will opt for other professional solution.

                        My in-law applied for leave for one week just to monitor this work and all his leaves went in vain as the work not yet started.

                        Please do the needful immediately else return my money so that i can start my housework.

                          In march 2016, vishwakarma civil construction (Vcc), who is the authorized and enlisted contractor and applicator of asian paints, completed the major repair and applied asian paint ultima protec paint to our g+14 floors building i. E. Raja tower, asha nagar-i chs ltd., asha nagar, p k cross road, mulund (W), mumbai-400080. Asian paint and vcc have jointly given 10 years painting and 05 years waterproofing warranties. Within a year of completion of the said work there has been complaints of leakages in the building, apart from the leakage, the coating and the paint from the outside wall area has started peeling off. Multiple complaints along with photographs of affected areas were sent to vcc and asian paint representative over the call and whatsapp repeatedly. Representatives of asian paint and vcc have visited the site multiple times over the last 18 months but failed to carry out any repair or restoration work, everytime they have been given assurances. With next monsoon approaching soon there will be further leakages and damage to the walls of the building.
                          If asian paint does not take corrective action through vcc or any other contractor before the onset of the rain, the society will be forced to approach consumer forum to seek redressal to long pending complaint.

                            I raised a complaint about poor workmanship and now it is almost 2 months and till date, i am following and no one from asian paints actually took this matter seriously.
                            Today when i checked this complaint forum i saw that my previous complaint was marked as resolved. I have emails in support of my case, every time i wrote an email some customer care executive called from mumbai, apologise and confirm that case has been escalated. I stay in delhi ncr, i am following with local team and they also seem to be casual and every time a new date is given to me.
                            I had faith in asian paints and its product so to resolve my issue i even offered that they can paint my rest of the house. To my surprise, their local dealer refuses to do the work because i complain about poor workmanship.
                            It seems asian paints has good enough business but no one to take care of quality... Shame...

Can anyone in Asian Paints explain to whom it is escalated and for 2 months why no one in escalation team done anything for this problem.                               We purchased paint from bharat construction s asian paints avanti vihar raipur and after paying and making bill and provided us with one liter of fruit shanker texture paint to us they told that don't have more paint and we got stuck between painting and have to hold everything for one day including labor charges, bharat construction was very bad in behavior and professionalism, we did not got our paint still please take action against this as you cannot take money before and later you say that you don't have that colour

                                Hello Sir/Madam,
                                We had bought around 80k worth of products from SRI DURGA PAINTS AND HARDWARE STORES, ponnur for our new house construction material. Two of the items included were asian paints putty wall care mixer and PU Gloss for teak wood. At the time of purchase we were told by the shopkeeper to take asian paints mixer as it will.come with warrenty as compared to other local one. The handle of the mixer was broken before using it which we reporter but he upfront denied that warrenty doest cover this and that item is not replaced with the new one. We are still managing with the broken handle. We were also told at the time of purchase that we can exchange/return any of the product if we don't use it. Later when we decided to go with PU Matt and reached them for exchange they just ignore to take it saying so many other reasons. We are ignored, the calls were not picked. When we visit the store they send us back saying come tomorrow etc. Also during purchase we asked them a computerized bill with gst details they said they will send the bill with the good career that will get us the products delivered but they haven't given one. They just send one manual written bill without gst details which doesn't look correct. I requested then but they denied saying Something that bill is not available and forced us to take the materials as they are not ready to return the money. I want to complaint against all of these fraudulent activities against this shop who claim to be an authorised asian paints dealer in ponnur and cheating people. Please advise. I have done all the payments in phone pay and also have the written rough bill also with me.

                                  This is to bring to your attention that i had recently entered a
                                  Contract with asian paints with the hopes of redecorating my home. A
                                  Gentleman by the name of nishant gudhekar (Bharat paints) and his
                                  Colleague sujit jaiswar were my main points of contact. I decided to
                                  Take the option o[censored]sing a contractor as it was more budget friendly.
                                  The asian paint contractor i worked with was bharat trading company from santa cruz. I, upfront told nishant that i am on a limited schedule and
                                  Have to return home by a certain date. Nishant assured me that the
                                  Work could be completed with time to spare. Nishant instructed the
                                  Contractor to begin work on my flat. My first few experiences with him
                                  Were that he did not care at all about me or my home. He was aloof,
                                  Disinterested and rude. We got into many arguments until he decided to
                                  Bring his supervisor aniket singh (Vikhroli team leader) to the
                                  Meeting. We finalized colors, patterns, and textures. On that meeting,
                                  He insisted i give him 44, 000 rs cash, and i obliged, for which i
                                  Asked for the receipt. May 13th, 2019 as the work was approaching
                                  Completion, he asked for another rs 30, 000 and no receipt or bill of
                                  Sale. On may 14th, i came to inspect the flat and nishant gudhekar
                                  Requested i give him another 10, 000. Once again, no receipt, nishant
                                  Quickly pocketed the money and left with the painters because he saw i
                                  Was preoccupied with workers that i had hired for other projects in my
                                  Home and not looked at the ceilings or walls. He said he was in a
                                  Hurry and a complete walkthrough was not done.

                                  As i inspected the job the painters had done, i was horrified at the
                                  Shabby job they had done. All the walls are uneven, with waviness and
                                  Bubbles, dents on all sides in all rooms including the ceilings. The
                                  Ceiling of the bathroom is caved in with severe dents on walls. Mr.
                                  Nishant refused to speak to me, answer my calls or respond to me and
                                  Blocked my numbers. A complaint number was registered and given to mr.
                                  Aniket singh. The complaint number is [protected]. He then said a member of his technical team would reach out and schedule a time to come visit
                                  The site. I begged for the process to be expedited because i leave for
                                  The us in 10 days and needed this matter resolved as quickly as
                                  Possible. Nobody has contacted me as yet. This evening, mr. Aniket
                                  Singh rudely hung up the phone saying that a complaint takes 48 hours
                                  To go through the system. Mr. Aniket singh was sympathetic at our
                                  Ordeal initially and said someone would contact us in an hour. Today
                                  After trying to reach him several times, he too blocked my telephone
                                  Numbers and has not informed me when the technical team would show up.
                                  This is purposely being done as the thought process is that i have to
                                  Leave on my scheduled ticket and will not cancel my ticket and this
                                  Gang would get away with this horrendous act.

                                  Mr. Rajendra, the asian paints/ bharat paint contractor, explained to
                                  Me that a wrong pop was used in my home. The contractor used patra
                                  Pop, but he explained my walls needed bottom pop. According to the
                                  Contractor, nishant and sujit asked him to continue the work in spite
                                  Of visiting my site several times and saw due to the patra pop was
                                  Used, the walls were uneven and bumpy. Nishant & surjit knowingly and
                                  Maliciously gave a go ahead with the project. Mr. Nishant gudhekar
                                  Purposely continued the work, ruined my home to get revenge on me for
                                  Calling him out on his horrible service and attitude. If i had been
                                  Informed by any of them, i would have been happy to get someone to do
                                  The bottom pop work and quickly installed ceiling plasterboard for the
                                  Bathroom and continued the work with asian paints. They were not
                                  Ignorant about the pop problem but needless to say, these two men have
                                  Ripped me off my money but in fact, are thieves representing your
                                  Company. Unfortunately, we are deceived by your fraudulent
                                  Representatives and asian paints are spoiling their name with the nri
                                  Indian community.

                                  It is my belief, that nishant gudhekar made double estimates along
                                  With surjit jaiswar, one for the company and one for me. He has now
                                  Run away to his village after purposely ruining my home. I want to
                                  Inform you i will be filing an fir against mr nishant gudhekar &
                                  Surjit jaiswar, who are a team of crooks defrauding nri's.

                                  I had no choice but to write to you and hope you can come forward with
                                  A help or a refund as this job has to be completely redone. Thank you im

                                    I am very much disturbed and depressed with the service of your team. I fail to understand how they represent a company like asian paints.
                                    I am not usually one to lodge a formal complaint about anything, but the unprofessional behavior of one of your employee's has impacted me so severely -
                                    We booked total paint service and booked royal paint for interior and apex for exterior and all wooden polish
                                    Last 4-5 days i have called numerous of time reading the work compliant going on at my place and the dealer is least bothered to entertain our compliant and the contractor asked us to go ahead and make the compliant no one will listen to you. From last 5 days its seems that the statement given by contractor “ rajeev “is true “ no one will listen to you”. Below is timeline -

                                    • work start – 5 may 2019
                                    • first complaint to dealer on 7 may 2019, regarding the quality issue and mixing of color (They mixes tractor/ace in royal). Dealer attending the call and till now not reported. I called 4 to 5 times and he not reported back to me
                                    • complaint to customer care team on 8 may and since then i am calling every day and the same line they are responding “someone from complaint team will revert back to you” and i am listening the same every time
                                    • 11 may 2019- we asked for the service that we booked and paying and contractor agreed asked for inr 2000 extra for repaint the room again with royal.
                                    • 12 may 2019 he asked to pay 10000 extra for redo all work as per initial booking. We declined his offer and the contractor and labour and left the work place and have not yet reported. We asked to leave all paint here so when the quality team will come they will check the quality of painting.

                                    No one even calling or least bothered about the compliant to call and check what exactly happened.

                                    As an international brand, we are not expecting this from asian paints. The work they have done i was not really happy with that. This is really disappointing as we always use asian paints for painting our house. Now i feel the company is not bothered about the customer service and the quality of staff does not have a professional or corporate attitude.

                                    I hope some will look into my matter urgently and resolve the issue.
