I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a serious issue regarding the paint used at Sanjivani Hospital, 1st Floor, Mahavir Chamber, Boisar, Tal/Dist – Palghar.
We always use 100% Asian Paints products for all painting work in our hospital. Last week, we started repainting the premises, including the Operation Theater area. The wooden door in this area was earlier painted with Asian Paints Oil Paint about four years ago. For repainting, we used Apcolite Premium Enamel – Gloss Finish (Mfg. Date: 10/2025, Batch: GA10 1).
Problem Observed
Despite proper surface preparation, the freshly applied enamel paint started peeling off easily, even when lightly scratched with a fingernail. The entire paint film comes off like a plastic sheet, showing clear adhesion failure.
This is extremely surprising and unacceptable from a reputed brand like Asian Paints, especially in a hospital environment.
Our Concerns
We request Asian Paints to urgently investigate the following:
Is the product we received a duplicate/counterfeit paint?
Is this a defective or failed batch (Batch: GA10 1, Mfg: 10/2025)?
Please confirm whether similar complaints have been received for this batch.
