The bank has changed the account status to "credit frozen account" without any intimation and started charging against low minimum balance. I got an sms from axis 2 days ago..
Your xxxx8095 has not maintained the bal requirement of apr18 & will attract fees in jun18. To avoid, please fund your a/c to meet the bal requirement for may18
There was no minimum balance requirement to my account before and i was not informed to maintain the minimum balance either through sms or email till date. However, after receiving the above sms, i tried couple of times to transfer amount (Assuming 5k as minimum balance) from my hdfc account through neft and imps, but i am unable to transfer the money to maintain minimum balance. Below is the sms i got from hdfc, after which i got to know that my axis bank account status got changed and its not allowing any credits.
Hdfc neft - neft transaction with reference number n[protected] for inr xxxx. Xx has been returned by the beneficiary bank with reason unable to process on[protected] at 13:35:21.
Hdfc imps - your fund transfer for inr xxxx. Xx on 09-05-18 is declined as the beneficiary account is blocked/frozen. (Imps ref no.[protected].
I am not sure why axis bank has asked me to transfer the funds to a/c to meet the bal requirement when they know "credit frozen account" will not accepts credits.
I have submitted my pan & aadhar details long back to make sure account is active.
Axis Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
