During first Covid wave in 2020, I lost my job and my salary stopped coming in my salary account in Axis Bank. After that I was unemployed for almost 2 years and my father became seriously sick. I was preoccupied at home and forgot all about this Axis Bank salary Account. I got re-employed this month, March 2022, and my present company has salary account in Axis Bank. Axis Bank operations executive Kapil told me that they can't open a new account and the old one only will run. Also the charges of Rs.250 are inevitable. Once my present salary comes, they will deduct this amount. For a waiver, he said I should go to the branch where my old account was opened. That's in Noida, too far off for me. This is ridiculous. They are so adamant about their charges. Although I got a message once during the last two years that they were going to convert my account into a zero balance savings account, that didn't happen. Instead Kapil (Axis Bank) advised me that Rs.250 is such a small amount; hardly something that I should crib about so much. For me, Rs.250 is hard-earned money, so it is important enough for me to protest about it and ask for a waiver of the same. Kindly get this done.
