Bajaj Finance — recovery agents visits residence for the first bounce

I have taken personal loan from bajaj finance. Its almost been a year i have been paying the emi's regularly with no default or bounce
This is the first month i was unable to arrange funds on time which i was aware of cheque bounce charges imposed by both finance company and the bank.
I had been getting calls from several unknown numbers when i was at work place unable to receive calls and hence ignore considering it a marketing or reminder calls (Unable to call back to missed call number).

Emi date was 5th and there was not a single reminder mail to reply back for delay.

On 23rd a recovery agent visits my residence and informs my parents about me not paying my emi and today is the last date for payment as there will be rs.600 of cheque bounce being charged for missed emi which made my parents panic.

On meeting the agent for payment he apologize and blames his manager pressurizes to recover the emi and visit the residence no matter if the customer is regular payer.

Is this the right way of recovering the first missed emi without formal email or notification?
