cheating on monthly electricity bill

Due to covid-19, bescom didn't provided the monthly power bill for april'20, but as usual i received reminder through sms from bescom, & i have done the online payment for the month of april'20.
Last week i received the bill for inr 4674/- where as my monthly boll never crossed inr 1500/-, in the bill they have deducted the payment what i have made last month of inr1463/- & mentioned to pay inr 3212/-., today i vised bescom office...

    Now i am surprise to see bill of may with same amount

      My home electricity bill for the month of may is higher than the usual, in fact 5 times higher than the usual. Where i used to get a bill of average 800/- to 900/-, the bill for this months states 6000/-. It is complete harassment, even if the calculations done on an average as it does not justify the billing. I'm not obliged to pay this bill until clarified and calculated as per the right reading. Expecting a quick response.

        Our household average monthly electricity bill is around rs 1100 to rs 1200/- during peak usage in the summer.in the month of may 2020, the bill amount is rs. 2117/- after taking into account of the average bill payment of rs. 1176/- paid online in april.

        It is clear that this error is due to the slab rates.
        Kindly correct this abnormal charge and reissue the correct bill.

          looting money with 3 times excessive bill amount

          Bill amount for month of May is Rs.2976/- which is 3 times the normal amount which used to be around Rs. 1000/-. Even though i had paid online in the bescom site in April the units consumed had been calculated including that of which i paid in april, so it is a big scam to calculate units in higher slabs even though it was paid in april. Normal bill amount is around 1000rs every month, but this month it shows 2976rs even after decreasing...

          Dear bescom,

          The bill calculation is incorrect. As reading was not done in april, but the amount for the april bill was generated as the average of the previous bill, we have paid the amount online. But in the current bill, i see the paid amount is been reduced. What i do not see is the reduction of the units for which we have already paid the amount.

          Now the new bill is been generated for the units consumed from march, which of course most of the units are charged in slab 4 which costs more. Reducing previously paid money will not help as we are being charged more for slab 4.

          Please look into the matter.

              Hello we are residents of suddagunte palya, cv raman nagar. We are getting current bill of at around 600 everymonth the same was received in the month of march also! But the april bill is 2552 and since i have paid the march month bill of 545 online tat is deducted and amount is 2007 how ia tat even possible!! Every month bill is rhe range of 500 and now 2500 its totally ridiculous. It has to be verified!

                I have recieved the bill for april 2020 for 1320 rs. For previous 4 months i'm staying in this house. I have only fridge as appliance. So previous 4 months the bill amount was between 350-400. I'm working from home since march 1st. And the bill was 395 and suddenly in april its 1320 which is almost 4 times the normal amount.                   Today I've paid through Google pay for electricity bill of 1495/- and after 4-5 hour it got credited into my account.May I know the reason y is it so? I've been paid previously also but it's was the first time. Is the amount not chargeble during lockdown..

                    We have paid march month bill on april 2020. Now BESOM took reading for two months and billed. So by reading reached higher tariff. they should detect our April bill units in the may bill. but they deducted amount.

                      Received very high bill this month, due to lock down no actual reading was perfromed and my bill came up 4 time higher then usual, one can't increase usage to 4 times higher suddenlt in family of two people. From past more then 2 years never receive this much high bill.

                          My electricity bill is way too higher as compared to the previous month's. I did little details on it. Earlier the bill used to be not more than 500rs but this month it is 1148. Considering the powercuts and my usage, its way too higher. Can you please send a detailed receipt of the bill.

                              During the month of april the bescom company had not visited every home for taking the reading for march consumption. But the bill was generated based on an average and was available online for the consumers to make the payment which was reasonable. And the payment was made online.

                              But this month, the employee from bescom had visited every home for taking the reading for the april consumption. But when the bill was generated, i noticed to my surprise that the bill amount was double my normal usage. When i tried check the reason behind this, i noticed that the reading was considered for the last two months and my entire april consumption had fallen to the highest slabs instead of starting from the first slab and because of which the bill has doubled. I enquired with my neighbours and all their bills have been doubled up as well.

                              This is really unfair on the bescom part to unnecessarily charge the consumers for no fault of the consumers. This is like looting the consumers.

                              In the current situation we are unable to step out to the bescom and register a compliant.

                              Please do report this and necessary action has to be taken.
