Hello,

I had raised a complaint regrading excess billing for the month of Oct-2018.

Complaint details -
Docket no- DS17DUNP51
Dated 27-Nov-2018.

For October 2018, month there was a mistake while billing update in BESCOM system.

I received the printed with 1 amount and the BESCOM billing portal showed different readings.

Printed bill no[protected], Rs. 491
Online Bill no[protected], Rs. 1656

I raised the concerns through telephonic conversations, email and even visited their offices. no resolution.

During all these 3 months I interacted with multiple MRs, account dept staff, the JE and for unknown reasons nobody resolved this problem after listening to my apathy though everyone agreed it's a mistake in the system.

However after visiting the Bescom offices at HAL road and Marathahalli I got to know it was a mistake in the system during the transfer of accounts from HAL to Marathahalli division. And now neither of the offices is taking the onus for this mistake.

On top of all this I am not able to clear the bills for subsequent months as BESCOM doesn't accept part payment of the billing amount. And all the billing amount is added on as due amount for last 3 months (Nov, Dec, Jan).

Now I don't have power in my house since yesterday as the new MR doesn't know all this history and the due amount is above Rs 2000.

This is complete harassment by BESCOM staff even after having advanced setup for handling grievances. It clearly shows technology can't help unless people using it are irresponsible and negligent.

Please note, JE responsible for Kariyammana agrahara road, kadubisanhalli area was never available during my 3 visits to Marathahalli BESCOM office, and the other JE was not ready to address the matter and provide any suggestions.

I intentionally have not mentioned the names of the staff in public forum. I can share more information with respective authority if needed.

There has been no action from BESCOM yet, they have disconnected power and demanding bill payment instead of resolving this dispute. The AE is also adamant on asking to meet the officials in person and does not matter if they are absent during work hours during my past 3 visits to their office.

      Hi,

      I am so disappointed by bescom. Why there is frequent power cuts? Since morning, i think 10 times they have disconnected the power (Arekere - samrat layout). They hardly give power for 2 minutes and again disconnect for an hour. When we try calling, the line is engage. This is happening from last 3 to 4 days. What is stopping you guys from supplying power. We are asking basic stuff after paying so much of tax.

      This is just so ridiculous. I work from home and this is really pissing me off. Is it a city? If the capital city of karnataka is in such pathetic situation, what about the towns and villages in karnataka?

        Due date : 25th of every month.

        Today (19 december 2018) the fuse has been removed without any intimation.

        Last month also same happened. Fuse was removed before the due date.

        If any other people from varthur affected with the same problem, please come forward to complaint about this.

        Even I am facing the same problem, we should take legal action against such illegal acts against BESCOM. Consumers should take direct action via Consumer Court. Online courts are not effective.
        Send them legal notice and demand compensation.

                Kr puram e7 dorwani nagar bangalore. Male employee he has good link with contractor. He will be very happy when contractor come. If public ask some thing he tells come tommorow server down. Govt trying to give good service to public. Not for contractor. Fast track service only for contractor not for public service very worst. If public go ask for new connection this people tell server down. Iam busy come later. And also they will guide you to contact contractor. 17 nov 18 i went ask new connection. I waited 8 days he will not taken any action. I called 1912 but no use. Please chage fast track male employee name not included.

                  electricity bill payment not reflecting in system

                  Its a shame that even in this modern era, there has been unscheduled load shedding and that too without prior intimation to consumers. There is no accountability as telephone keeps ringing but none to answet. This shows the callous attitude of bescom employees. They just don' t care of consumer sufferings. Shame on them.

                  Really sad... Will concerned authorities take little heart and look into it? They will not.

                          Our shop is located in oros, tal : kudal. Dist : sindhudurg.
                          We are also interested to sell mother dairy (Dairy) products but we are been purposefully avoided by your distributor m/s bhalchandra services and there is no supply of products since last 2 months.
                          We have also aised a complaint to mr ashutosh.. Who looks after sales in this region, but there is no reply or development from him either.
                          We need to know the exact reason for not letting us sell your products?

                            First of all, BESCOM is the worst ever department in bangalore. It is filled with highly unprofessional and illiterate people. Am ashamed to be a bangalorean.

                            I live on sarjapur attibele road. From the time i moved in here (3 months) we are facing long power cuts everyday. We have lodged too many complaints and keep calling area manager but no use. Everytime he has a silly reason to give. Why cant you guys improve???? What is your problem? I know all of you are corrupt but apart from that you guys are inefficient and irresponsible. Nowhere in the world people are so irresponsible and downtrodden. This country will never become a better place to live with the people like you managing basic needs.

                              Last month when it rained heavily, parts of a tree outside my home needed to be chopped to make room for the electrical lines on our street. The debris or leftover parts of said tree was left lying on the side of the road. When the BESCOM officials overseeing this activity were asked to dispose of the debris, they claimed it was not within their jurisdiction. This incident occurred a month back. The debris is lying on the side of the road which also happens to be in front my home. I have reached out to the concerned engineers on duty at the BESCOM office. Two weeks after the incident, I have also lodged complaints in the BESCOM application, this was followed by a call asking me for details to be furnished to open a request. The person on the other end of the call assured me that someone from the office would turn up to resolve it. After which when there was no response, I lodged a complaint with the BBMP Sahaya portal twice, both of which have been miraculously CLOSED but the debris has remained untouched. The officer assigned for said complaints deflected my complaint quoting that the BBMP is not authorized for such an activity and he will forward this complaint to the relevant officials. The officer has henceforth not picked up any of my calls. This gross negligent attitude towards the complaints from the public has led me venting my frustration on this complaint board. If anyone has any idea on who to contact, I would appreciate some help.

                                I have accidentally paid the electricity bill twice for the period 12/08/2018 - 12/09/2018.

                                I haven't received the transaction id because the transaction had failed, but the money was deducted. I have only received a single sms for the second transaction from bescom that says: thank you for making online payment of rs. 903 against account id:[protected] on[protected].

                                Please resolve the issue as soon as you can.
