Hi ,

I would like to state that there are no direct buses ( Volvo & Non -Volvo ) from Hebbal to Indiranagar . There are atleast 10 Thousand veichles coming from Domlur ,Koramangala and Indiranagar junction towards the Manyata IT Park , Hebbal and other areas and the BMTC has failed to have a single direct bus for the people of Bangalore forcing the people to bring their veichles . The BMTC authority needs to start introducing buses directly from Hebbal to Indiranagar /Domlur / Koramangala passing on the side of the metro station at Bypanahalli . Thanks..

    Hi,
I am an employee in one of the IT company situated in ITPL. I have been put up in mathikere. Hence I need to change four buses daily in order to reach itpl. i.e. from MATHIKERE to BEL Circle to Hebbal to KRPURAM to ITPL. I find lot of buses from hebbal to silkboard i.e. 500d but i don't find many volvo buses to itpl, even though there are two buses 500dg, 500df but there are few in number. Also 500db goes through itpl but it goes through marathalli which takes longer duration. I request BMTC to put some more volvo buses for the route 500dg & 500df. It will be very usefull to lot of people travelling daily from hebbal to itpl. I hope BMTC sees this message.

I completely agree as this will ease the travel time and the increased frequency in the evening will make it a lot easier for a lot of people to get home sooner.
Yes i request the bmtc management to start a volvo bus running from yeswantapur - mathikere - Bel Circle - hebbal - ITPL. It will help a lot of people
Even I agree wity this. I see sometimes Silkboard buses in a row and Buses to ITPL via Marathahallai plying empty. Instead they can increase this 500DF and 500DG
Yes, Buss facility between rote from Hebbal-Tinfactory-Garudachar Palya-Graphite-KTPO-Vaidehi-ITPL has to be increased. It will help most of the Women employees to reach home and office in time. As many women employee travel on this route.

Let BMTC Run normal BMTC buses to this route apart from Volvo which is not affordable for common Man.

I Request the BMTC to do the needful.
I would also request BMTC to increase the frequency of Volvo bus services on 500DF and 500DG routes. Currently, they ply every half an hour with last bus from ITPL towards Hebbal at 6:30 PM. Please consider increasing frequency of 500DF and 500DG routes to 10 minutes, and having regular busses till 9:30 PM.

I do understand that the return journey for these routes (from ITPL to Hebbala during morning, and from Hebbala to ITPL during evening) may be coming with empty busses, but the return bus route can always be re-routed via Marathalli in one direction. There are lots of commuters on this route, and I am pretty confident that once we BMTC runs regular buses on this route they would be making good money on this route.
    Hello friend,

Can anyone provide me timing of 500df and 500dg for both the side..i m staying near to Garudachar bus stop and i need to go for work near to ktpo.

your input will help me alot..thanks
yes i also recommend BMTC to increase the frequency of the buses in the route Hebbal-Tinfactory-Garudachar Palya-Graphite-KTPO-Vaidehi-ITPL, please consider this because many are eagerly waiting for this.
I also agree with this. I am also daily commuter from Hebbal to Itpl. There are no volvo buses after 6pm in the evening to KR puram via Hoodi circle. so please release some volvo buses to KR puram after 6 pm in the evening. Atleast for every 20 or 30 min .
Request BMTC to add some bused from ITPL to Hebbal via Hoodi after 6PM, atlease for every one hour say 6PM, 7PM, 8 PM and 9PM etc
There is a new service that can solve some of these issues. Taxi on a monthly subscription basis . Check out www.mysarathi.com

      hello,
I am staying at HSR Layout in Bangalore and travel on weekdays for work to Electronic City Phase II.

I have clearly seen that some of the ticket conductors in the BMTC buses (ordinary or A/C) punch ticket for higher value if they give normal tickets as opposed to electronic ticket.

For example, from Agara bus stop to Konnappan Agrahara as per electronic ticketing system is Rs 35 in A/C bus, but if I get a bus which is having normal ticket the conductor takes Rs 40. Few times for shorter distances as well, either the conductor takes the money but does not tender ticket or tenders a ticket of higher value.

Getting change from the conductor has always been a challenge even if the bus is running at full load.

Request action to curb the extra incorrect charges.

      regards
      Lakshmi

        Sir/Mam,
I have been travelling on a regular basis on BMTC Volvo bus services. Last week on 11 Jan 2012 i boarded a VOLVO bus from BELANDUR CENTRAL to HSR Appartment. The normal fare for this route is 20 rupees max. When i asked the conductor for Ticket, he Charged me 30 rupees. I told him that the fare is 20 ruppees, so please generate the ticket first so that i can see the fare before i Pay you. He first argued with me saying that ' Would you take the ticket or u cna get down', that was really rude. Once he generated the ticket it was from ' BELANDUR ' to ' BTM UDUPI' which is the Next to Next stop, and hence the ticket generated was of 30 Rs. When i told him that BTM Ududpi is not my stop, please give me a ticket till HSR Appartment, he argued saying its all the same from HSR to BTM UDUPI, this was completely wrong. When I objected him , he asked me to get down. I then took the ticket paying him 30 Rs, so that i have a proof when i file the complaint

Kindly look into this matter. I had seen the Conductor talking to other passengers on few occasions, but when he behave din this manner it was wrong it shouldn't be tolerated. Please let me know what actions can be taken, so that they don't expolit there post.

        Hi,

I have complaint for the same bus - KA 01 FA 431. Yesterday, i took this bus. The driver of the bus is so arrogant. I am new to Bangalore, so dont have much idea about the routes. I asked him thrice if this bus goes to HSR Layout. He was busy in scoding some other girl for standing in front. He was talking to her in Kannada which i cant understand. and suddenly i dont know he was talking rudely to me in Kannada again. In the way, i got to know that he can speak Hindi well. he misbehaved with everyone.
Kindly look into the matter and take appropriate actions reg the matter.

        Thanks,
        Komal

          Hello Sir ,
i would like to bring to your notice the conduct of volvo bus conductors with passengers.Nowadays they talk very rude to passengers and harass them verbally for very petty issues ( change of money , stopping at the right stop , even issuing ticket for required bust stop ).Bus conductors suddenly will raise their voice and start shouting in between conversation .

As a law abiding citizen and also tax payer of India , i request that kindly provide stress management and anger management training to bus conductors . Also asking them not to be rude will help the cause . Ask them to not to fight for not existing issues .

          Regards ,
Daily passenger of Volvo bus .

            The BMTC service is pathetic.
Not the service actually , but the people who are involved in the service like the drivers and conductors.

With the introduction of Metro , I have become a regular commuter till MG Road and take the G8,G9,G11 bus from Metro Station to Cunnigham Road while going , and take the same buses from Indian Express to MG Road Metro Station.

While going , its not a problem , but while coming these buses are a menace . They never stop at the Indian Express stop . I have to run after them ,bang on the bus body , but still they dont stop. I have complained to the BMTC inspector who sits at the MG Road railway station , but they happily say "hindi gotilla".

I do not know if there is any point in submitting the complain here , but still as a BMTC commuter , I think this needs to be addressed.

G9 bus route is dubious. The internet sites provide the onward journey to Yelahanka, but they forget that the bus stops on the return journey are not correspondingly on the other side! It makes it difficult to gauge the exact bus stops when viewing online, making the life of the commuters difficult. Of course there is the added 'you are an outsider not deserving a response' angle to it, which makes it worse.

I am a regular passenger of BMTC Volvo Route No. 500K. Today I had a traumatic experience when I became a victim of extrteme rude behaviour and abusive language of 500K route bus driver of bus no. KA-01 FA-1847. The incident is as follows.
I borded the bus at Chandra Layout at 8:25 am today morning (19-Dec-2011). The bus did not stop at the regular bus stop. Instead it stopped at the junction (Gurusagara hotel junction)blocking other traffic. It was very risky to board the bus at that junction. Somehow I managed to get into the bus. I simply told driver that he should not stop at the junction. It is very risky for the passengers.
Immediately he started talking rudely to me using abusive languages. I was shocked and wanted to know why he was behaving that way and using such bad languages. He aws adamant and continued the same. Then I told him "Either you stop or I will complaint against you" He replied " Take down the bus no (KA-01 FA-1847) and do whaetever you want...complain to Chief Minister"
It did not stop there. He took the bus to Kamakhya Depot and stopped there saying that he would not go. He gathered 4-5 people there. They came into the bus and started interrogating me. By the time, all the passengers were getting late for their work and he was simply not listening to them. He was very adamant that he would not go. Then one supervisor gentleman came and asked the driver to start the bus.
I am a regular passenger of this route. I have never been abused and behaved such rudely like this earlier. I know all drivers are not like this. But for this type of few drivers "BMTC Volvo Service" which is a pioneer in all India is loosing its reputation. I hope you will take some action against this driver training him properly how to behave with passengers
              Thanks and Regards,
              SujanC

Bus Number: KA 01 FA 1927,
Route: 500 DA (ITPL to Hebbal)

This is not the first instance where a BMTC bus driver has insulted or instigated a passenger for an unnecessary argument.

We were a group of 6 members (3 girls & 3 boys) and we boarded the bus from in front of SAP Lab, Whitefield. We were headed for Innovative Multiplex, Marathahalli. Since it was office hours (approx 6:30 PM) the volvo was over crowded.

When 3 o[censored]s (girls) boarded the bus from the front gate, the bus door was not even closing properly. There were 3 or 4 middle aged men standing near the driver's seat (2 of them were told to be BMTC officers). With advancement of each bus stop the crowd started increasing and there was no way that the ladies can stand without leaning on the men...we were just pressing against each other. Knowing the fact that volvos have air brakes and the handle bars are quite high it was really very inconvenient to stand in that situation. Though none of the ladies budged a word, the inconvenience was prominent on their faces.

I was feeling weird and hence told one of the gentlemen, "Bhaiya aap log kyun piche wala gate pe nahi chale jate?" (Brother why don't you all go to the back gate)...those were the exact words without .001 % of rudeness in it. To this the driver replied that we can get off the bus if we had any problem...adding to it, at the next stop he asked us to get down.

Once we reached our destination, we took the name of the depot and wanted to know the name of the driver without using any profanity. To this the driver started reacting...started abusing...using vulgar words (asking the boys in the group to take the girls to their home if they are so much bothered). This resulted in a 5 to 7 minutes altercation.

                My questions are:
                1. Did we say anything wrong?
                2. Did we use any vulgar words that the driver started reacting?
                3. We are the passengers. We purchase the tickets. Its a public conveyance. Who are they to decide if we can board the bus or not?
                4. Drivers generally do not allow male passengers to board from the front gate when the bus is too crowded. Then why should BMTC employees be an exception to this rule?

The government is trying to motivate citizens to commute in public transport. Do you really think we would feel comfortable if this is the kind of behaviour meted out to us? We strongly feel there needs to be an end to this.

Looking forward to some action on this

                Regards

                  Dear Sir/ Madam

My name is Chitti Babu from Vijayanagar, Bangalore. Last Friday i.e., on 09-Dec-2011 around 10PM I had boarded a 335E volvo bus from Kundanahalli Gate to Majestic. Along with me I was carrying a white plastic bag in which there was a new pair of safety shoes. The bus reached Majestic around 11 PM & by slip of mind I forgot to collect the plastic bag which I had kept below my seat. I only realised after reaching my home around 12PM. I do admit my mistake for my absence of mind. Immediately I called the BMTC customer care number [protected] from my mobile number [protected] & informed the customer care executive by name Santosh & requested him to pass on the message to the nearby Depot No. 7. To my shock there was a very rough & rude reply from the customer care executive saying that if he informs the bus depot about this, they would spit him on his face. I was really taken aback by the kind of words used & response received from a customer care executive who was supposed to talk to the customers politely & gently, which are the basic qualities of any customer care executive whatsoever. He even threw a challenge to me saying that I can take all his details & do whatever I want & adding to the insult, he even disconnected my call. I again redialled the number & the same customer care executive lifted the call & upon hearing my name, he again disconnected the call. I was totally confused by the behaviour of a customer care executive that too of a Government run body. I’m very unhappy with this incident. If they couldn’t resolve my issue, atleast, they could have spoken to me in a proper & decent manner. I believe Bangaloreans are the most soft spoken people when compared to any city in India, not like Mr. Santosh – Customer Care Executive(BMTC). Hope BMTC can step up to this & improve their service to their commuters in a better way.

                  Regards

The major problem of bmtc people behaving rude are I feel they are uneducated and don't have the humanity. There is no use of complaining because all this customer care is for formalities where they don't know the meaning of it. sir please if this has reached you inform the people involved in bmtc to behave descent and not like third class people.

                    Sir,

Bus from banashankari to Domlur bridge bus no. 201, timing 7.50 am at BTM layout water tank. There was argument with bus conductor for change
i gave him 100 Rs. fare was Rs.11 in return he gave me Rs. 80/- asking for 1 re change to give another Rs.10/-. But unfortunately i didnt had a 1 re change. He argued for 1 re and refused to give 9 Rs. change or he wanted to tie up with other person so that i can take from them which was not possible.

Infact this is not a complaint, consider it as a suggestion to keep enough change with conductors to aviod such arguments.Because sometimes it is difficult to carry exact change and travel. And also conductors to behave and co-operate properly with the genuine customers.

Dear Sir, I can see a lot of buses via Koramangala to Domlur like 201D,M,Q,K1,MPEF,8...etc. Why there is only a single bus via Koramangala to ITPL (411E) that too it pass via Kormangala in the early morning 6'Oclock
Either you change the timing which is convinient for employees say after 8 AM or add more buses in this route

                        Hi,

                        We the resident of J.P.Nagar 7th Phase, R.B.I.Layout find it extremely difficult to get a bus at peak hours (9:00 A.M to 10:30 A.M) from J.P.Nagar 7th Phase/JambuSavariDinne to Jayanagar 4th Block/Market/Mejestic and also from 7:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M from Jayanagar/Market/Mejestic to J.P.Nagar 7th Phase/JambuSavariDinne.

As there is very less buses at this route especially at the peak hours, buses will be over crowded and people wont get place to stand.

It will be easier if there are frequent buses from the above said Destination at peak hours for every 15 mins, this will benefit many commuters.
Auto drivers charge exorbitantly and it becomes difficult for those who commute daily. It will be more convenient if BMTC provides Volvo bus too.

So, I kindly request BMTC authorities to consider the issue and act on the same.

                        Thanks & Regards,

                          respected sir
on nov 18 2011 i was travelling from marthalli to kadgudi in the BMTC bus numbered KA1 FA1152.
i boarded the bus at marthalli bridge at 7:30 pm and took a ticket to kadgudi .i gave him 12 RS and as the fare was 13 i gave him 5 rs .i waited for the change and i thought he would give me .but he passed away from me and i called him politely to give me 4 rs.but he started abusing me in kannada as i can undestand little kannada , i replied him that i could help him if he could speak to me in telugu hindi or english .i heard him talking in hindi. he could have spoke to me in hindi atleast, but he didnt. he started abusing in english and kannada that this is kannada and you have to speak in kannada only. well did i mis behave with him or did i abuse him .no nothing,

i know india is a land of different cultures. its a shame on the bmtc drivers speaking to the commuters this way.is this the culture , is this the manner he behaves with the commuters .

i very sincerely urge you take a severe action on such conductors in BMTC.

                          BMTC — Discrimination

                          Hi Sir,

This is Adithya. Today i.e., on[protected] I was boarding in G3 bus where the checking people got into the bus and asked me for my college ID but I had left it in other bag so my pass was retained by the checking people.(this was my mistake I agree). But in the same bus a lady with a KSRTC pass given for the staff's children had a route from Tumkur to Bangalore and was eligible to travel only in KSRTC but then also that lady's pass was not sized. So I cross questioned the TC asking that why did you leave her without fine or seizing it instead I got a answer saying that it was a staff's children pass so she could travel anywhere. Now what about me i have paid Rs 4420 and my pass is held but an invalid pass is exempted. Why is this discrimination and some one help me in filing a complaint. my number is [protected] .

                            Dear Sir,

I have experienced one incident with conductor in bangalore city bus or it is regulare practice in buses.

I was travelling with my family (wife + 2 kids) towards Shivajinager from Banaswadi.

I board the bus from Banaswadi (bus stop Near Uttam sagar hotel, banaswadi) at 3.50 pm on 06/Nov/2011 (Bus no. is

KA-01 F 8932). i aksed conductor to give me two day pass and two half ticket for Indian Express. He gave me two day

passes worht Rs. 45/- each and alos gave me two half ticket worth Rs. 11/- each. so, all together i have paid him

Rs. 112/- ( 45+45+11+11). I asked conductor that how much will it cost for half ticket then he replied that Rs. 11/-

each. then I aksed for full ticket rate then he replied that it is Rs. 13/- I agrued with him that it should be Rs.

6/- or Rs. 7/- then he said that the rate has increased. so, I have stopped arguring with him and i note down the

bus no. I got surprised when i Saw the tickets which he gave us. i felt that he gave us used ticket why i strongly

belive this because both ticket has different serial no. (ideally it should be in series) and some thing is written

on back side of the ticket. normally conductor used to wirte balance amount on back side of the ticket.

I spoke to KBS control room and they told me to give complaint via email.

I think some thing is going wrong in bangalore city buses. and its my duty to bring to your notice.

Please let me know that what type of action will be taken against this conductor.

Here I am sending the copy of both day passes and both tikcets for your better understanding and further action.

                            Thanks

401R buses from Rajareshwari nagar to vijaynagar they are not in proper time today
waited for 1 hour from the bus timings is 9.15 but past two days i am facing this
                            problem

                            Hi
I am completelly agree with the complaint becoz in every alternate day i am facing the same problem some time conductors misbehaves sometime they are taking money and not giving tickets and any change also like if i am giving rs.5 then they are not issuing any tickets and not giving any money back..it is happing with me in every alternate day..sometimes if we are giving money like Rs 50 or more then also they are not witing any balanced money on the back of the ticket if i am asking then they will shout and tell wait i dont have change they never gives back those amounts, even if i try to ask then he wont come infront becoz of excess rush its not possible to reach him..and sometimes conductors are abusing and commenting in kanada with bad words not even only with the male but with lady also, if they understand that we dont know kanada..yesterday in 401M same thing happnd with me, i took the tiket from deepacomplex(nagarbhavi) to the stop before BDA complex i gave rs.4 for that becoz i had went there earlier in rs.4 so i took ticket i knw that it comes under papready palya stop.but next stop to deepacomplex conductor start shouting to get down i was with my husband who was in last seat he asked what happend to me, i try to told him about this, but before to this conductor started misbehaving with me.he started telling something in kanada and hindi (chal bhag bhag...ja-ja etc) when i was getting down from the bus.and when my husband asked conductor that how much for the next stop, or what is the name of next stop, he started shouting and abusing and then fighting.there only one police was there he came and he was near to beat my husband with his stick without listening anything..we felt very ashmed with this incident.becoz we dont know kanada is it the fault, that police should atleast have heard about the problem.but becoz we are from the other state other than kanada he started torturing to my husband..

I had taken a bus on 5th November from Anekal to Majestic. Bus No KA01 FA 2034. One of the passenger had got in and he was from other state, he had asked for a 45 rs daily pass but the conductor was insisting him to buy a ticket instead of pass, just because the gentlemen was not able to communicate in kannada the conductor flung the 100rs note which he had give. I mean i don't understant wat are these type of conductors upto.

I think the conductors and drivers should be taught a lesson on how to behave with the passengers. It's only because we travel in buses that these slugs have their jobs in place.

                                DEAR,

BANGALORE BMTC BUS ROUTE 37 VIDE NO. KA 01 F 2445 HAS NOT STOPPED AT BUS STOP AT KASTURBA ROAD IN FRONT OF SUNDARAM MOTORS BUS STOP. (ON THE WAY TO SRINAGARA), ON 13/10/2011/THURS AT 18:03 HRS.,

I STARTED RUNNING TILL THE NEAREST SIGNAL TO CATCH THE BUS AND THE BUS WAS AT THE SIGNAL, AND I REQUESTED THE CONDUCTOR, WHO WAS CHATTING WITH THE DRIVER NEAR THE DRIVER AND NOT BOTHERED TO ANSWER ME PROPERLY AS TO WHY HE HAD NOT STOPPED IN THE BUSSTOP. AND RELUCTANTLY, HE DID NOT EVEN OPEN THE HYDRAULIC DOOR FOR ENTERING, EVEN AFTER SEEING ME SWEATING FOR CATCHING THE BUS.

I BELIEVE THAT BMTC RUNS TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PUBLIC, AND THE BUS CONDUCTOR / DRIVER ARE TAKING LAW / RULES / POLICIES INTO THEIR HANDS AND THE AUTHORITIES ARE NOT INFORMED FOR PROPER ACTION.

IN ADDITION TO, THERE IS A VERY RARE FREQUENC;Y OF BUS ROUTE 37 AND IF THIS HAPPENS, WHAT WILL BE THE PUBLIC FATE PLEASE?

                                  BMTC Conductor misbehaved:
                                  Hello,
I'm Ananya Biswas Working as a software engineer in a company based at KTPO.

I travelled using bus number KA 01 FA 1748 from Kundanahalli gate to KTPO. The conductor was pushing in every one and letting in more girls from the front gate. He pushed me once and I tried to move in but I had a laptop bag and could not move anymore. Then he started yelling and pushing me continuously for 5 to 6 times and was continuously shouting. The driver also started yelling.

I told him to keep his hands away and to tone down his voice as I am not travelling free of cost. Then the driver stopped the bus and the conductor started to push me out and told me to get down. Since the bus was blocking the road, some cars at the back started honking and they had to move the bus. The conductor still tried to push me out of the moving bus. Finally the driver started laughing and asked the conductor to leave me.

I told them that I would complain to which the conductor said that call up the call center people & take the number from me if required and started laughing.

I want some action to be taken against the conductor so that they at least learn to behave.

                                  Thanking you,
                                  Ananya Biswas

                                      Dear Sir,

Route G2 bus number KA01-F-2220 is cheating the BMTC and the people. Yesterday, on 12 Sep 2011 at about 7.30pm at Koramangala Bus depot, the bus was travelling empty towards Sarjapur Road. When I boarded the bus, the conductor told that the bus only goes till Kormangala first block, although it was clearly displayed on the bus that it was supposed to go till Sarjapur Road. Since it was raining, I was not well and was in a hurry, I boarded another G2 bus which came there about the same time.

In the other bus, other people narrated the same story and complained about this being a frequent behavior i.e Two G2 buses will be empty with minimal capacity and people travelling to Sarjapur have to be cramped into just one bus carrying three times its capacity.

I also doubt if the drivers do not travel the entire distance, do they make a profit by selling the diesel, since the alloted diesel will not be used.

BMTC , bangalore — Rude behavior of conductor

                                        Hi,

I have boarded a BMTC city bus at koramangala 1st block (171 stop). I tender Rs 10 for availing Rs 5 ticket( From 171 stop to Sony world junction). But he did not give the ticket and shouting at me with nonsense words.

Finally I fight for the ticket and he issued a ticket to me.

But worst thing is that he is scolding me for asking the ticket.

I asked him to give his controller's number and he dint give.

                                        So is this complaint.

Please take actions for better BMTC and better service to public.

                                        BMTC — Rude conductor behavior

                                        Dear Sir,

I am a sincere tax paying citizen of Bangalore employed in an IT firm. I regularly use BMTC Volvo buses for commuting.

In volvo buses on my route, one would commonly see well behaved IT crowd. Norm is to expect an equally well behaved conductor. However many a time, the conductors behave very rudely towards passengers. I have encountered situations where the conductor has rudely ordered passengers to get out of bus for as reasons as small as not having change. Passengers do not deserve such treatment when they are willing to pay the fare and travel.

Most recent experience was today in bus number 500C from ITPL to Banashankari. It was a lady conductor behaving rudely with all reapectable passengers. I urge the responsible officials to advice such consuctors about proper conduct.

                                        Thanks,
                                        Manu
