Bata India — Defective shoe..didn't last even for 6 months

I purchased a hushpuppies shoe around 10 months back for office purpose.there was no rigorous use of shoe and it was supposed to last at least for 1.5 year as said by the salesman of the store. Withing 6 months the sole of the shoe started peeling off from front and rear. I read the company policy and they will do nothing to help me now.
So my question is that why should I buy a shoe of 5000 when it will not even last 6 months.clearly these brands are looting indian citizens by their fake brand values.

Now my resolution will be to not buy hushpuppies shoe in future nor letting anyone in my known to buy this pathetic quality shoe.

Updated by Msharma41 I just received a call with number [protected] asking about product details..then this person said that I am calling from bata india and we will refund your money in your credit card ..this is clearly a fraud call and process.
Consumer complaints forum :- fraudsters are using your website for looting innocent people. Take some action..I have written number of that above asking for my card details.
