I was sitting at indiranagar metro station as i have to travel to cubbon park. My friend will come from bypanahalli metro station and as we decided i will get in the same train from indiranagar. But the staffs at the station didn't allow to wait me and was moreover asking about fine.
Staff name: mr. A. Gopalanaiah (Name was written on shirt pocket)
Date: 24.05.2018
Time: within 6.20pm to 6.35 pm
I want to know is there any such rules that i can't wait on metro station and if i wait is there any fine?
Disclaimer: the name of the staff may not be exactly the same. But the staff was wearing normal security guard dress and the date and time is accurate.
I had the same issue but with very rude staff

I was waiting for my wife at the yashwanthpur metro station. Doing so I skipped two trains. That's when two security guards came upto me insisting that I can't wait at the station if I have missed two trains. I understand the security reasons behind this, but as I was genuinely waiting I told them that I was waiting for someone and if it is a rule I will, but requested them to show a copy of the rule or a board that says so. In the absence of either I refused to vacate. They then got their manager who started off calmly then lost his cool just because I kept insisting on the written rule. He created a big scene and threatened to hold me back.and all this happened while my wife had arrived and we were ready to go.below is the exact text on the metro website

Overstay Rule: A passenger holding a valid ticket can exit from same station within 20 minutes and from other stations within 120 minutes. For overstaying in paid area of Namma Metro beyond these limits, penalty of Rs.10/- per hour is charged subject to a maximum of Rs.50/-.

I was well within my time limits. So I ask if there is a rule I will oblige. But put it up somewhere. Let people be aware of it. In this day and age Don't expect citizens to blindly agree to any rule verbally communicated by a person in uniform.
At attigupae metro station at around 9:15_9:30am sat jun 24 today I paid for my travell to Sandal factory and she gave me only my return but not token and I told her that she didnt gave me token.She made me to pay for next token.She was so incoperative.I tried to explain her but she was not listening to me at all.

    Recently to a trip to mysore road from majestic, i noticed that my compartment was full of mosquitos. This was something like a utter surprise for me as usually i don't get to see mosquitos on metro as i travel regularly. Please have a look at this issue as this would be a health hazard for all the travelers like us. I don't want to end up in hospital with malaria or dengue just because i had to travel in namma metro.

      I am a regular traveller of namma metro. My daily routine-in morning is from sri rampura to cubbon park and same at evening from cubbon park to sri rampura. Firstly i thank for the service and support. But today it was a bad experience in the station, in nadaprabhu kempe gowda station when i was entering in train through a queue the private security guy uses a bad language once i entered into the train just because i was unable to push & move inside the crowd.
      Please understand my situation inside the train there was a lot of luggage, there are ladies and old age people, and one side there is a full of the crowd pushed inside before door closes, without even seeing these conditions. The security guard used very bad language on me. He is not even seeing the luggage below and i am holding my shoulder bag in one hand. I don't no how to act at that time. For that, i get a scolding from a security guy.
      Please let me know if i use the same behaviour on the security people or on metro employees or on police, will you people let me walk like that.
      You can just track it down through cctv records (Date 17.04.2018) timing was around 8.00 – 8.15 pm, the last second door of green line train (Towards nagasandra) the security guy was short in height.

        I am a regular traveller of namma metro. I highly appreciate your time schedule while travelling metro trains. To my surprise today morning at jayanagar metro station the train left at 10.03 (Schedule time 10.04) a. M. So immediately i went to complain at station to lodge my compaint. The manager at the station told that they are not keeping any compaint registrar, one minutes difference some times happens. I told him that the train left early. He told me to to compaint at bmrcl website. Hope such things wont happen in future.

          I want to report a narrow escape that my family had while driving near nayandahalli metro station construction site on 10-april evening at 6.30pm. A tractor ka-51-t-3757 was carrying metal retaining wall plates lose without securing them to the tractor trailer walls with ropes or belts. One big plate fell off the tractor and brushed against my car breaking the left side mirror of my car. The tractor driver did not even bother to stop and drove like that for another 100 meters before stopping to just push the lose plates into the trailer. Without any concern, the tractor driver casually mentioned that the tractor is engaged by metro
          Luckily the plate did not fall on the windscreen or on the bonnet of my car. The falling plate would have surely killed a human being if it had fallen on a 2 wheeler.
          Please initiate strict action on who so ever is responsible for transportation of construction material and i would surely expect compensation for replacement of my car side mirror.

            Someone pickpocketed my mobile at the platform while boarding metro at the yelachenahalli station and after i got to know about my lost phone i went to the yelachenahalli station and asked the staff to take a complaint and also can i check cctv footage they said no you can't give complaint or access cctv footage. Why can't they take a complaint or give access to cctv footage
            I lost my honor 10 huwai phone on metro

              I take metro everyday from biappa metro to trinity stop, which costs me 15rs but parking charges is 60rs which is four times more than travel charges.

              There is no proper local transport, buses arriving to metro station do not start, they wait for minimum period of 30mins.

              Auto drivers there do not allow cabs or other vehicles to pick up passengers. For 4km they demand 80rs, nonody is happy to put meter

              If you need to really support that metro must be utilised to its best, then parking charges must be very nominal
              I'm a fashion designing student, I'm traveling in metro since it's convenient...
              But from few days, there's been a new rule that we r not supposed to carry any tools like scissors, trimmers etc...which is absolutely not fair...please see to it, scissors n all we have to carry daily to the college...

                The service and quality is the worst one. I had been there today the 20.03.2018, i was made to stand and wait for more than 45 minutes after ordering the food. There was no such rush. Serving staff are so rude that they do not listen to any body. Ultimately i complained to cashier and demanded my money back. Then cashier himself came and prepared the food. Officer concerned metro station at vijayanagar bengaluru should take action for rude behavior with such elderly person like me on that easurant owner.

                  The footpaths in Jayanagar 5th block (ORR 46th Cross) were dug up as part of the metro work. This was in Dec 2017.
                  And the work was completed early January, 2018.

                  We are in February 2018 and still the footpath has not been restored or the waste cleared away. People are now forced to walk on the roads without streetlights at night. The road is already narrowed because of the barricades put up for the metro work.

                  Can someone clear up the footpath ASAP?

                  Please see attached photos for the mess the contractors have left behind.

                  Today I.e. 11th Mar 2018 I boarded metro at yelachenahalli at 21.00 hrs. The lady security is arguing that first bogey is reserved for women. It is totally wrong. Only the first 2 doors are reserved for ladies and not the seats
                  Please clarify & announce it aloud. Otherwise it will create problems in future.

                    Dear sir
                    I travelled from yesvantapur railway station metro to banshankari metro on 7 feb 2018 at approximately 12.30 pm. When i tendered 50 rs for the ticket. Cash counter clerk miss roopa demanded 2 rs change as the metro fare was rs 42. As i didnt have change i requested her to give me the ticket and i told her that i dont need the change to which she did not oblige. Such situations causes a person to lose his patience. It is the responsibility of metro to cater to small change. On complaining to the supervisor, he says that the cash clerk is not authorised to keep excess cash so she could not oblige my request to keep the change. Metro should wake upto this problem before patience of public runs out. Efforts have to made to provide small change at the counter or issue tickets without hassle when passenger is ready to forego small change.

                      Today my friend is coming from majestic to baiyppanahalli . And im living in near the baiyappanahalli. So i need to pickup . I came from my two wheeler.In two wheeler parking feee on three cataogery is mentioned front of the station. But that policy parking staff not even obay.
                      In front board mentioned like this - " For every subsequent hour or part thereof" is motor cycle and two wheeler is mentioned 5 Rupees. But they asking 15 Rupees.4 hours charge.

                        Sir, i’m nagesh speaking. I am a daily traveller in metro. On 2-11-17, at 6:40pm, while i was travelling from vivekananda rd metro to m. K. K rd metro station via majestic (Kempegowda metro), i could not swipe smartcard at mkk rd station and come out, as card is lost. The details are smartcard number is [protected] (Stored value ticket (Brand name : varshik) and the amount remaining in card is rs.950 (Approx). I have given a written complaint...

                        Today 21/12/2017 i took ticket from mysore road to chikkapete but the actual ticket price is rs 28 but they collected rs 30.
                        When i reached chikkapete - exit, there it's showing ticket fare rs 28.
                        I don't know why they cheating to new comers, they don't return the change also.
                        Please take action...
                        The ticket collector becoming currupt.

                          Respected sir/madam,

                          This is with regard to bangalore metro rail corporation unsafe two wheeler parking inside the premises. The commuters park two wheelers inside the parking area available to catch the metro train from rv station (Bengaluru) to go for work. When we come back in the evening, we see that the vehicle parts go missing, be it engine, fuel taken, mirrors stollen etc. This is such a sad thing to know that the government doesn't provide safety for it's people in such a place where bmrc is active. Most of the people travel by metro by parking their vehicles inside or next to the metro station premises and when safety is not provided like at least some security personnel around, then it's a loophole for the state government.

                          Request the concerned authority to take a swift action in this regard as everyone earns money by hard work and not by looting public and their property.

                            Please provide safety for women
                            It would be better i[censored] provide different sections for women.. There are lot of cases of men taking advantage of the crowd and rush..
                            It is very uncomfortable to stand with lot of mens so close..
                            It would be my suggestion to please differentiate sections as men and women in the same train
                            Humble request

                            Due to lot of people travelling in metro. They try to push as many as people in the same door
                            It is disgusting to go fall on some men
                            Our country has nice culture where women are respected
                            Please considerate and make some changes
                            You would understand girls situations when your own daughter or wife is in trouble

                              I bought the smart card on 21 jun 2017 and recharged 100 rs on 22 jun 2017. Today i tried to use the card and it says balance is zero. They have no trace of my balance. Even after showing recharge proof they did not do anything. Finally i had to pay again and use the service.

                              I would like to get my money credited back to my account and apology for the delay and harassment caused.

                                Bangalore metro is harassing the customers - because of their helplessness.
                                Commuters are forced to travel like british age prisoners. The treatment is same as that of the prisoners during the british era. Or one can say the commuters are transported in high tech sheep van, like sheeps.

                                During the peak hours the trains are so much packed with commuters - such that even one cannot able to breath comfortably.

                                Added to that the younger generation is travelling with one lap top bag on their back and mobile phone in their hands watching some non sense movie or some non sense, which is consuming around 1ft space in their back and 1 ft space in their front. These # young generation even does'nt know that, if they turn with their lap top bag, the people standing in that radius gets hurted. And note that most of the young generation people travelling on these trains - are so called techies - but they do not know the simple high school physics laws.

                                When one questions this attitude, they never care for that or they start quarreling with loud noise rather they shout. - many time these high tech techies says that this is the modern life style.

                                Morning people are travelling to their office for duty - if one gets his mood spoiled, the whole day is spoiled.

                                Let bmrcl either increase the no. Of coaches or let them ban the use of mobile phone on board.

                                And bmrcl is - i feel is having the metro trains for exhibition purpose - as even a small decrease in the rush, immediately they increase the duration of the train frequency.

                                I am having a suggestion to bmrcl - if they don't run the trains, trains always looks new & they can keep the trains in the shed, instead of increasing the duration - they can charge the same rates from the commuters as existing for simply viewing the trains standing in the shed.

                                  Today (11.9.17) i had travelled from manthri mall station (Around 1130) to kr market (Around 1145) and got out with my metro card which has sufficient balance.
                                  While returning form k r market station at 14:34 hrs i was told that i have not punched the card while exit (At 1145)
                                  I was trying to make mr venkatesh r understand that i had punched it correctly and after the passenger before me has crossed and after gate closure only i have punched and opened the door for exit and i went out.
                                  Mr venkatesh r was not ready to hear my grievance saying he does not understand english. Since i am form kerala i don't know kannad finally i talked to him in hindi and asked whether i could meet customer care manager, after talking to some one over land line he told i am supposed to pay penalty.
                                  To my surprise he has give me a penalty under the head "passenger miss use".
                                  The person was so arrogant that he has even challenged me to take this issue to any level.
                                  Being a ordinary reaponsible citizen i cannot challenge anyone, nor i misues any public property.
                                  This has let my morale down.
                                  I still connot find any answer that
                                  1. How i could go out without punching in the presence of security at 1145?
                                  2. At 1434 hrs no responsible customer care manager, who can speak in english was not available (As intimated by mr venkatesh r).

                                    The three-carriage trains are causing a lot of discomfort. They are packed like sardines with hardly any place to even stand on. Why is is that bmrcl not increasing the number of coaches, especially during peak hours, when passengers can't even get into the train from the interchange station!

                                    Please look into this. Though the three carriage system is supposed to carry 1000 passengers, they must be carrying carrying much much more. Even from a business sense point of view, it is imperative that bmrcl increases the number of coaches.

                                    Secondly, with the coaches packed like sardines, it gets stuffy. The ac is set on such high temperature that it has no effect. As a result passengers are much inconvenienced. Why can't some staff notice all these?

                                      Metro card.

                                      Dear sir,

                                      With deep regret i am complaining this matter and request your kind self to refund undue penalty charged in cash of rs 50- fifty only, today[protected] at jaiprakash nagar metro station, bangalore.

                                      Today i recharged my metro card with rs.500 and it showed rs. 512- as available balance. I am student and a regular commuter between jp nagar to national college for my studies. Yester day at national college metro station due to low balance entry gate for metro platform was not opened so i did my journey up to jaiprakash nagar by valid metro token.

                                      Today after recharging with rs 500- again entry gate of platform not opened and guard sent me to customer care booth. I was told that computer is showing my entry in national college station on[protected] and so i have to deposit fine rs.50- in cash for not exit through metro card.

                                      Whereas entry gate was not open yester day [[protected]] at national college station due to low balance and i completed my journey for home station jp nagar by metro token.

                                      Please, look in to the matter and arrange refund o[censored]ndue penalty of rs. 50- to me. I have to further request you that on some occasion my metro card not works properly and shows red light on entry and exit gate.

                                      There are many staff in the dasrahalli metro, even when they see people are approaching the lift or elevator, they don't even bother to press the button, they wait till the passenger to come and do it, lot of time goes like that... And we miss metro due such behaviour.
