Bharat Sanchar Nigam [BSNL] Complaints & Reviews

I too have moved to ULF900 expecting 4 Mbps speed, but it's within 512 kbps. However, Internet connection is working without any new password.
Yeah even my previous plan was of 2 Mbps and indeed it was.

Please let me know how to set this right?

I agree dude. I have also migrated to this 4mbps plan (ULF900). I am also facing severe speed crunch. When I test the speed using Broadband speed tester available on www.dataone.in website, I see the speed as 1.7Mbps. But when I test the speed on all other websites (international speed testers), I get the speed as 240kbps!!! I can see the behavior while browsing the net. It is soooo slow. I am not able to understand the reason. Terrible. And as always, hopeless service provided by BSNL. I dont understand why is this indifferent attitude from BSNL towards its cutomers. We can switch to other operators if this attitude of theirs continues. Even they know that. But still dont do anything to improve. I guess we cannot expect good service as it is government controlled company. Pathetic!!!

I have purchased BSNL 3 G modem with 2G sim...bt internet speed is less than 10 Kbps.
Please think on this issue...

same story here... i residing right in front of the ganapathy bsnl tower and have full 5 signals but the speeds that iam getting is awefull... really really awefull... for a 7.2 mbps max card all i get is close to 100kb... that too in patches.. when i approached the SE(a lady) who sits in the bsnl ganapathay branch office she commented exactly the same "we donot have any switch which we can use to boost your speed & and that will be good if we have" and another person explained that the speeds what iam seeing is really good... brainless people... when is India going to change with these kind of people who dosnt bother about customers.. all they need is a pay hike and sit there and do on a 8hr job.

Hate to be a bsnl customer...annoying thing is i purchased the sim card with a 6 months prepaid subscription... atrocious...

This is to inform everybody that bsnl peoples are playing with the money of general public. They don't come for repairing the connection even after booking complaint so many times. And worse are their superiors, they even don't bother to talk with the customers. They are doing nothing..only coming for taking the bribes from people to the office and they are the big clots on the society. I think people shouldn't take the service of bsnl anymore, , they should look for other options ...private firms.

bill for the month of March 2009 is too high, than I use the net.
its Rs.190 charge, but I am using the net very often & for just few minutes.my old net bills were nill (Upto 1 GB ).

Dear Sir,

I activate bsnlnet service with recharge Rs.175.00 when i activate the net speed is good but after 20 days' like i.e. from 20.04.2010 the connection speed is to slow i not open any page at a time. then i call customer care and tell I my problem then they were said that this is temporary problem wait it will work again. I call many time but same result. at last i will force customer care to make a complain then he lounch a complain. but not any result yet. before date 20.04.2010 i mean to says that in 19.04.2010 call customer care to my number and asked that is working your internet? i say that yes! then he again asked what is your mobile handset model number? i say that nokia n82 then they were disconnect the call. after that my net is very slow. please give me good speed.

Its really disgusting that the offer came in the form of a phone call and when i was out of station, the guy said that free service has been activated for one month and if you like that service, you can proceed further buy subscribing to it..
But i understood that the ****ing words are not followed properly in case of billing..
I was in a compulsion to pay 200 for 3 months without knowing that i have been subscribed..
When i call 1500 to ask about deactivation, always the customer care representative is busy..

finally after GOOGLing a lot i understood what to do..

The game on demand service provider is habitual cheaters, they always make false promises and misguide people to subscribe to GOD service and later on ask for payment.

BSNL is going to loose trust by this service only, the reputation of BSNL is degraded.

Iam Jamal Azad from Chennai some two Month back i had got a call from a BSNL Customer care, its regards the free subscription for Games on demand for one month, so i active this at the end of that month i had deactivated the same, but for the last two months they put an additional charge for Games on Demand, if i check in the Games on demand Website it shows the subscription has deactivated, but still i getting the bill for same, then i made a complaint in Chennai BSNL Customer care, they ask me to contact their Commercial Manager and given a land line number[protected] but there is no response in that number.

Can any one of you help out in this regards and please advice me how to move forward

This is to inform you that I Mr.Soumik Ganguly using the broadband services of BSNL and my landline number is [protected]. On 20th March 2011 I received a promotional call from BSNL Games on demand and they informed me if I activate this service initially to pay Rs. 200 which will adjust with the bill and I will able to download free games and software at a higher speed without affecting my current package but they did not inform me about the monthly charges. After getting the verification call again from them I came to know that I will be charged Rs. 200 every month. I request them to deactivate the service as I misleaded by them but I did not get any fruitful action. Today I again called them and requested to deactivate the service and now I informed that the service will be deactivate but I have to pay Rs.200 because of the activation which I will not pay.
I would like to request you kindly accept this letter as official complain and take immediate action to revert the charge. I would like to inform you clearly that I will not pay the charge and for that whatever is required I will do but I will never allow anyone to cheat me and its never expected from BSNL as a Government undertaking organization.

BSNL — bRAND BAND MODEM FAILURE IN GURANTEE PERIOD

I have brand band connection from 13.03.2009 onwards.The modem also purchased from bsnl type II and has the warranty of 1 year.The modem was failured on 20.10.2009. Till date the modem was not replaced due to stock available in all godowns of bsnl in tamil nadu region.

This is very wrong! The modem should be allowed to use to any number and even the company should exchange the modem if found faulty and only if it is in the warranty!

I also have three BSNL mobile phones with pre-paid SIM. And on all of them I got the same messages of deduction of Rs.28/- each against one month charges, in addition to regular charges o[censored]sing tunes. I got these messages on 30.09.2010 between 17:00 and 18:00 hours or so. I DID NEVER SUBSCRIBE, NOR OPTED FOR any such thing, nor was ever asked for. After hours of efforts on phone, I could contact a BSNL - (TATA) representative, who asked me to send SMS to 56700 as UNSUB (space) ALL . I was also told that an amount of Rs. 2/- per SMS will be chrged for this.
Ever since BSNL has collaborated with TATAs, their services have gone towards cheating chain. The same thing had happened when VSNL had collaborated with TATAs few years back, and I had to discontinue all VSNL-TATA internet services.
Have the TATAs gone on the brink of becoming bankrupt that they are snatching money illegally from any source what so ever? Please reply anybody, if you can.

Deduction of Rs. 28/- and Rs.30/- on account of CRBT Subscription, whereas I have not requested for the same.

We are contacting you because of cancellation of BSNL broadband. We have already applied cancellation of Broadband on 10th Nov-2020. Also visited multiple times to BSNL office (Raiya Tele Exchange - Rajkot) for that. Already filled the form and had discussion with Alka Bhatt and she

With reference to the above, I would like to inform you that India games has offered me for free subscription of Games on Demand Service for unlimited gaming for a period of one month starting from Mar 18, 2010 (Date of Registration).

Please note that prior to completion of one month of free subscription, one executive from India Games has called over phone and I clearly refused to subscribe the services, he has further confirmed that no action is required from my side to deactivate the services, thereafter we never logged in to the site of games and never used the services (it has been confirmed by Customer Care Executive of India Games that there is no log in since 16.04.2010). In spite of that I have been charged Rs. 200/- every month since April’2010 through BSNL monthly billing. As there are no billing complaints against BSNL, I never go into details and keep paying the amount online using credit card.

I called the service centre of India Games at[protected] to lodge the complaint but they have not responded properly and told me that he is having tele recording for subscribing the services but refused to provide the same and asked to contact BSNL for tele recording and refund of the amount charged. I feel cheated and upset due such a unfair practice. I am also surprised that BSNL is having tie-ups with such a cheater companies.

To Bsnl Authorities,
that bsnl broadband services was subscribed on the bsnl landline in the month of march/april 2009 and the same was disconected or removed on 4th april 2010. After disconection of the brooadband sevices the charges of rupees 200 were started with effect from september 2010 and is continuous till date. kindly deactivate the bsnl games on demand on landline number[protected]. and also adjust the surplus amount paid in the future landline bills. if necessary steps are not taken as early as possible then as a last resort will have to approch the consumer forum.

I was told that games on demand is free for one month and after wards it can be contd. if reqd. Accordingly i activated and deactivated after seven days. but bill dated 10/03/11 for GOD PLAN Rs.150/-came. i went to velachery office and enquired, they said my plan is deactivated and they given mail also for the same.they given the assurance that no GOD levied. i paid the bill and came.but again in the recent bill dated 10/04/11 GOD Rs.200/- charged i don't want any more GOD. pl.deactivate it.

This is to inform you that the below user account has been deactivated from BSNL Games on Demand on 19.01.11.

I sri Parasker Rajender Rao, received a phone call during December 2010 saying that the BSNL games are free for one one month(from 23/12/2010 to 22/01/2011).I utilised only for one or two days during the month of december 2010 only. Then I have stopped OR not opened that site and not played the BSNL games. The BSNL tyelephone and internet bill for the period from 01/02/2011 to 28/02/2011 was vide Bill no: 94519006 dt:06/03/2011 for Rs 909.98 in which an amount of Rs 200/= was included as charges of BSNL games. As I have not received the same bill in time( information received through SMS for payment of BSNL Bill ) I paid the amount of Rs 909.98 through E-SEVA Banjara Hills. Again the BSNL bill for the period 01/03/2011 to 31/03/2011 for Rs 926.46 which included Rs 200/= of BSNL games was raised through bill no: 95697609 dt: 06/03/2011. Then I approached Accounts Officer TR-II, BSNL Telephone Bhavan, saifabad, Khairthabad, Hyderabad and given an application given them to payback an amount of Rs 200/= paid earlier and asked them to stop billing for BSNL which I am not at all using since December 2010.
To my suprise they told me that they are in no way concerned about the BSNL game billing, the person as to cancel through internet only. Then I questioned if the BSNL personal are not cocerned about BSNL game fee of Rs 200/= per month, how you department including this amount in the Monthly telephone bills, for this the department have NO ANSWER. I asked official to lookm into the matter. I paid the telephone bill deducting the amount of Rs 200/= towards BSNL bill . Still the BSNl department has to settle the Rs 200/= which I paid through internet.

The BSNL official suggested mo to cancel the BSNL games through
htt://bsnll.indiagames.com/bpremium/main/login.jsp!. Go To "My account"in "Manage account".

I request the authorities to go into details this cancel this type cheating for some persons, who have in the name of BSNL asking thewe people to enroll on FREE OF COST for one one month, and not asking their CONSENT for continuing the same beyond that period.

BSNL Game Service — charging for BSNL games without my concern

BSNL is charging Rs 200 every month in my telephone bill for the service that i have not registered to pay. I am a BSNL costomer from very long time ( more that 10 years) having the phone number[protected] with broad band connection. Some time during the month of Nov-2010 lady from BSNL/BSNL outsourced vendor called my wife at home and asked her to try out for BSNL's free Game service. My wife was not intrested in that but she was pestering my wife and forced my wife just to try it out free game services. my wife followed step step procedure and once logged in. then on wards we never used.
We never agreed for paid sevices. After some time we noticed that BSNL is charging Rs 200 for the game services. Then i went to bsnl office at Koramangala bangalore and enquired about the same, then lady at the counter asked me to give the written complanit on the issue. On 30th April-2011 i gave a written complany asking BSNL to reemberse the amout that is charged from DEC-2010 till date addressing to Commericail officer, Jayaanagr, &th blocl banaglore. But, it did not makle any diffrence again i saw Bsnl charging RS 200 for the next month. Then I wnent to PRO,BSNL,Rajbhavan road and explained him the situation . He asked me another wiriiten comp[lanit, so i gave the same on March 2011. He promised that he will work on the issue and asked to unregister the subscription and then he will see any way he can reemberse the amout. But i can not unregister the the same as i do not have login iD and password for the bsnl.indiagames.com. I wrote a mail to [protected]@bsnl.co.in and [protected]@indiagames.com. Till now i have not herd from them.

I see this is daylight robbery, and well planned public mis guiding cheeting . This puts me in lot pain in running around people for the things that i need not run.
These people are making public fool and we should allow it happen to any one.
