[Resolved] Bharti Axa — Bad Company- Bharti Axa Car Insurance | |||
My car was parked at Volkswagen workshop on 5th Feb 2016 after an accident. After that it was a nightmare dealing with Bharti Axa. My one foot was on plaster and I had to move on cabs everyday. Bharti Axa surveyor, was ambiguous on every call. Sometime he would say that I will help you car be sold at Rs 1 lac and you take 3 lac from Insurance. Sometimes the workshop person would call up and say that surveyor has said that they can go ahead with repair. As a customer I was never kept in loop. After demanding estimate so that I can understand the quantum of damage and actual payout- it took Bharti Axa 20 days to send one email. By which time I had got an estimate done from Volkswagen which had a higher estimate. In the meanwhile Volkswagen guys also told that the car is not repairable and it will be a costly affair. Now Bharti Axa says that they were in touch with Volkswagen and then created their estimate but how is it possible that there is a difference of INR3lac+ between 2 estimates? I asked these questions as to why is Bharti Axa being ambiguous and pressuring me to salvage my vehicle instead of giving the full insurance value? Surveyor was once again ambiguous over phone and first said that the estimate given by him is final and then contradicted by saying by tomorrow we will again touch base with Volkswagen and share estimate. He almost sounded as if he is a greater expert than volkswagen workshop guys. The surveyor of Bharti Axa was not only persistently ambiguous but also rude, as if he is the customer and I am the vendor! On 4th March 2016, I gain get a call from Volkswagen stating that they have again called BHARTI AXA for taking a fresh estimate and I will receive a fresh estimate now. This is again contradictory- BHARTI AXA stated that their estimate is final, so why are they sending a fresh estimate now? Volkswagen gave an estimate, so why are they inviting BHARTI AXA for doing another survey? Which implies they both sent wrong estimates to me earlier. And they are consuming time to put pressure on me I had to move with plaster on and spend roughly INR 500-700 in every day and suffer physical and psychological trauma. The matter is still pending, surveyor boasting that I can talk to anyone in Bharti Axa it doesn't effect him. If this is the case with private insurance companies- who are already suffering with trust deficit- then it is better to go for a Govt. General Insurance company. Please save yourself from the trouble- do not buy Bharti Axa Car Insurance Was this information helpful? | |||
