Big Bazaar / Future Bazaar / Future Retail — Bank account debited twice for a single bill

On 25-11-15 i purchased some items from Big Bazar, Z Square Mall, Kanpur. the bill amounted to Rs. 1585/-. i presented debit card for payment. The cashier swiped the card, entered amount and i entered PIN but he said "Sir, transaction has failed, and we shall try at another terminal". he took my card to another terminal where another cashier swiped my card, entered amount and entered PIN and the payment was through.
