[Resolved] Big Bazaar / Futurebazaar / Future Retail / Hometown — food items not being exchanged at another big bazaar store

I had bought a mustard powder of sunrise from salt lake big bazaar on 23rd january 2018 and i went to exchange that item at diamond plaza mall big bazaar
They said they can't exchange food items
Why was this not said to the customer at the time of purchase??
Why are customer being harrassed
Why am i supposed to spend another 100 rs to exchange a product worth rs 15
