I am sick of writing and complaining everywhere about the fraud done by hometown and no solution provided. I am sharing the email i wrote to them on 3rd November 2018. I purchased a modular kitchen from hometown pune on 10-15 August 2018, order number: [protected]

The quality of product for this 3.5 lakh kitchen is pathetic and poor.

Sanjiv Gogoi and his designer Nopur messed up and did a fraudulent promise of delivering a 3.5 lakh worth kitchen which shouldn’t have been even 1, 00000. i want hometown leadership team to forma committe and review the quality of kitchen delivered and either charge correctly or return the entire product.

I am someone who appreciates people and never let them down professionally and personally, but I am writing this review with lot of bitter and bad experiences from hometown people. I will ensure all of this also goes to consumer court:

Hometown might be a GREAT PLACE for small goods but certainly not for a modular kitchen.

Me and my family has never been HARRASSED as we have been for purchasing a 3.5 lakh worth modular kitchen from this hopeless place. What is shown and what is delivered are two different things. Absolutely naive and stupid designer who doesnot knows the basics of designing. Please ensure that you don't get your kitchen designed by the lady called Nutan or you will yourself end up writing a review like myself.

TIME LINES FOR THE INDUSTRY MADE SO CALLED MODULAR KUTCHEN:
1st August: I purchased the kitchen on 1st August with a commitment of delivery by the store manager and the designer on 25th September, and we had told that they will be working on deadlines as my father has retired and we will move by 1st of October.

TILL YESTERDAY, I DIDN'T RECEIVE THE RECIPT OF THE PAYMENT I MADE NEARLY THREE MONTHS AGO.

Somewhere around 20th September when we followed up for the kitchen 3d design and reciept: I was notified that the kitchen will be delivered by 5th October.

5th October : I followed up for the status, they told due to some error from designer the delivery will be on 15th October.

I was not happy and called Nutan, the designer and got absolutely rough and irresponsibile replies from her, she said in hindi "choti so galti hui hai merit taraf se is liye delay hai aap mujhe kyu bolt rahi hai" I was shocked, she is responsible and accountable for the kitchen and that's how she spoke with me. She didn't share the designs with us on time, she took all the payment from us before time and whenever I used to call her for follow ups she would not receive the call.

This is when I got a bit worried as my parents had to leave the defence service quarters by end of the month.

12th October : I called the store and they said the item has not left warehouse and would reach by 16th October. I became absolutely worried that they are not taking this project seriously and simply delaying. I told them sternly that they have to deliver and assemble before 18.

On 17th October : store manager notifies that item will be delivered by 19th. THIS IS WHEN I ABSOLUTELY LOST MY NERVES AS WE HAD TO DO GRIHAPRAVESH ON DUSSERA, 18TH OCTOBER. AFTER CALLING LIKE A MAD PERSON CONSTANTLY AND PRESSURISING THE STORE MANAGER AND THE INTERIOR DESIGNER (SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KITCHEN) FOLLOWED UP with the delivery man.

After 1000s of escalations and follow ups, I got to know the product (unassembled kitchen) will be delivered. We received the products at 2.30 PM, BUT AGAIN NO ONE TO ASSEMBLE IT. Finally the technician showed up at around 6 pm on 17th, we told him he has to complete the work no matter how much time it takes as we have to do the housewarming on DUSSERA. He was very cooperative and was working on the assembly, however some important screws were not delivered by the supervisor Chandra Kanta and he left the site after a heated discussion. Again the technician wasn't able to complete the kitchen as there were several flaws with the kitchen and he had to stop the work at 2 am in the morning as the stupid designer designed a wrong kitchen.

There are so many flaws in the kitchen even though the technician tried fixing. The glass assembly wasn't done and we had to do several follow ups with our interior designer (as the kitchen designer was a dumb lady who must have got her degree by fraud or cheating) and the store manager.

Major pitfalls of hometown modular kitchen staff:
-What frustrated us the most was that we paid upfront for the kitchen and we were only following up for the work to be done, where as this should have been the responsibility of the responsible employees.
-The Unprofessional behaviour of the designer. She was so unprofessional that we visited the store and she was shamelessly chit-chatting with fellow colleagues and she had our kitchen design open on her screen and she must be telling them about how royally she ### up (absolute apologies for using this language, I have never used such words for anyone but sadly I am for this review) our kitchen. She didn't even have the courtesy to apologise.
- The mental stress and agony we had to go through as a family for our first dream home.
- Even today, work is pending for the height adjustment for the big cabinets
- Due to multiple handling of the product, the finishing is poor on various places

I will share photos for the same in my next email for your reference.

Nutan messed up my first kitchen ever, I will ensure that this review is seen by the consumer court team and some serious action for all responsible people is taken.
