Advice to People seeking Modular Kitchens - Don't waste your time on Hometown Marathahalli Kitchens Department, they are incompetent, will waste your time and money and if you fell in their trap, you'll just repent either for your refund or on their worst customer service and quality of kitchens.

1st measurement taken - 12-Sept-2016 (Design completed on 14-Sep-2016) - Had to spend 2 hours at the store to deal with incompetent designers at Hometown Marathahalli - 2 guys and a lady
Told on payment of 50% that final measurement has to be taken, Done on 30-Sept, after which I was told the 1st measurement was wrong and some of the components have to be replaced (made shorter) which was nonsense and won't work.

Again the incompetent designers (budhi) couldn't think of any alternatives and just wanted to push some idiotic designs. Suggested some changes, the Designer was always in a rush and didn't had the etiquette to talk to customer and didn't agree. Told me take my design or cancel the order. Informed Management (Ravi) - of no help at all.

I was again forced to changed the design and sign-off, they involved a different designer. I kept telling them take the measurement and then we'll sit for final design. Other designer Ashish forced me to visit and waste another 2 hours to sit with this new guy even after repeatedly asking him to take measurements first.

Design finalized, they told again they have to visit and take measurements. This was the 3rd time, they were coming for taking measurements, they told me the designer would accompany as well. Designer came and told the 2nd measurement was also off by 6-8 inches. That's a lot again if you are going for modular kitchen. This was the highest limits of frustration I've ever had with any private services firm. I highlighted the issue to the management again (Ravi - store manager, kitchen hometown department) - No help

Finally, I was forced to cancel my order in first week of October after paying 83k, which still hasn't been refunded. It's been more than 30 days and no one has still responded to my emails seeking status update. Every time I call, I'm asked if I received a cancellation SMS, which I never did.

I won't recommend Hometown kitchen to anyone, don't waste your time, They are incompetent, very customer unfriendly, have incompetent Designers and Irresponsible store managers. If you are not okay with their design, they'll simply ask you to cancel the order after having spent 2-3 visits and wasting both time and money on their stupid software and discount gimmicks, which is nothing but a trap.

What I'm looking forward to:

1)Replies to my email with proper Apology from Store manager accepting the fact that they wasted my time, effort and held up my money for more than 30 days on an order that had to be cancelled because of Hometowns' incompetent Service Engineers and Designers making multiple mistakes while taking measurements and designs.

2) Refund of my money ASAP.
