BMW India — bmw car failure | |||
I have purchased my bmw x1 chasis no. Wbahu1706h5j00537 from m/s infinity motors, navi mumbai, india, two months ago and i went for long drive on mumbai goa road first time.in span of 250 km drive two tyres went flat. I tried to contact toll free number four times in next 24 hours but no reply (22/8/2017).. Which they confirmed and apologised (What does it mean to bmw) i took assistance from show room boy (Mr. Vinay warrier). I was told its run flat and you can run 80 km without changing such tyre. I could run only 30 km and had to leave the vehicle at a police chowki. Next day the bmw service center people were contacted and they towed it to navi mumbai. They reported three tyres flat with wheels also out and needs to be changed and cost is 2.5 lac. My vehicle has insurance with five year warranty from bmw. They offered to put me in some schem still i have to pay 36000/- i had no option but to pay. Before picking up the vehicle they took from me in writing that vehicle is repaired satisfactorily. Had i refused, they were not to take the vehicle for repair (One can check the documents and dates). Later they noticed tyres were not available in india so need to be ordered from germany which took three week. While buying they said, if any road side failure... 24 hrs toll free assistance, pick up in 4 hrs anywhere in india, alternative vehicle till car is repaired, placing in 3/5 star till repair and if vehicle has warranty, every thing is covered. Literally every thing is failed... Merely like cheating from the dealer and servicing station. I want the explanation for everything how can three tyres go flat with wheels damaged on 250 km mumbai goa national highway without any scratch on body of the vehicle... Was it mal-alighnment or manufacturing defect of tyre. Showroom informed me that there is no warranty on this tyre. Every domestic brand of tyre comes with warranty... How bmw tyre has no warranty at all?, I expect as a customer, full enquiry in to the matter; refund of my payment for repair and the cost i spent on transport during repair period as i was not offered alternative vehicle while repair of mine.
