BookMyShow — Request for action for harassment caused due to booking for fake event

Incident Details:
I booked a ticket on Book my show for a “Fast Matchup” event which was supposed to be held on May 24th from 5:30 PM onwards.

Amount paid: Rs 1190.86

The venue provided was that of a Public metro station in Bangalore- “Rajaji Nagar Metro”.
I reached the venue on time and have found no such event or anybody from the organiser or the audience at the venue.
Then I called the BMS support team from the venue at 5:38 pm, asking for help with the organizer’s coordinates. I was told the organiser can’t be contacted and I should leave the venue for now. The team will investigate the matter and update me on my refund within 5 business days.

I haven’t received any proactive communication from BMS team and despite multiple followups at regular intervals every time I was communicated that the team is investigating this and I can receive an update in 48 hrs.

On June 11th, on calling BMS support the team verbally confirmed that the organizer has tried reaching me at 9:49 AM and I didn’t receive the call and I was not present at the venue.When I denied such report, I have shared my call logs which shows all calls received on 24th May and the detailed call with BMS support at 5:38 PM proving my conversation from the venue where I requested for help. (Both screenshot attached)

On June 12th, despite presenting these proof, the BMS team falsely alleged that the organisers have tried calling me multiple times and accused me of not being present at the venue. This is outright blatant and false information. The screenshot they have shared shows one dial from organizer at 9:49 AM with 3 secs of dial time (Screenshot attached)
On confronting the same on call for falsifying facts, I was again asked for 24 hrs on the same date to get back on the same.

On June 13th, when I redialled the BMS support team, they took the organizer on a conference call and the organiser claimed that they have tried dialing me once hence their obligation is done. It’s my fault I did not receive the call. Hence I have to talk to my telecom provider. They can’t offer me a refund. I have even requested re-scheduling for the same weekend as it’s conducted every weekend. The same was made on mail from my side on June 13th (Screenshot attached)

On June 15th I have received a revert from the organizers claiming they have followed all the procedures and I can’t receive a refund and they won’t consider rescheduling another slot for me for the same event (Screenshot attached)

On June 16th, I conveyed the same to the BMS team on call and mail and the response I have received is that the organizer’s decision is final here and they can’t do anything about it. I have requested for an escalation to higher authorities and am waiting for a revert but not hopeful for any fruitful resolution.

Complaint:
For any such events the organisers are supposed to provide the exact venue to users for convenience. Since the venue printed on the ticket was misleading it becomes the organisers responsibility to convey the exact venue to the user before the event. It’s clearly not done in this case.
The organizers claim to have dialed me several times. However their call records show one dial attempt for 3 secs. The same false narrative was conveyed by the BMS support team on call justifying false accusations and getting hands-in glove with such fake organisers.
Further the organiser has also claimed falsely that I was not present at the venue. Despite having calls and proofs the book my show has resonated with the false claim causing me trauma where-as the event venue mentioned by them was wrong and misleading (Screenshot attached)
Despite having a TAT of 5 business days to resolve such events, I was made to wait for 19 days to have the first conference call with the organiser and to deny all requests with false accusations causing mental trauma as a customer.
Despite being accommodative and requesting for another slot for the same event, that too was denied by the organizers stating invalid reasons reaching a point where filing for a complaint is the only way to justice left for me.

Request:
The incident has caused me mental trauma and breach of trust from a reputed platform like BMS in addition to the monetary loss.
Given the number of followups I had to make only to receive fake allegations from the organisers and the platform, I request for strict action to prevent such fake organizers to dupe customers on such platforms.
I request my money back and an apology from BMS team for falsely portraying facts and accusing me of incidents (Like multiple calls not received from organiser or not presenting at the venue) which is clearly nullified by evidence submitted by both parties.
