Reliance Communications - Broadband — No Refund of payment

Dear Sir/Madam

SUB : Poor and Rude service provided by Employers.

I took up a broadband connection last month with Reliance (CAF NO. [protected]) on the 14th of January 2013. The Sales executive Mr. Srinivas([protected]) collected the cash from me within one hour of calling him and assured me that I would receive the installation within 2 days.
I patiently waited for 2 days and when he failed to show I called him. At first he did not pick up. When he finally did answer he told me that the technicians were away as it was some local festival and then will be coming the next day. As an understanding customer I complied but the following day he did not answer my call at all. I proceeded to calling his "brother" Mr. Rajesh ([protected]), who was the executive I has initially called. He said that one of the technicians Grandmother had passed away and hence he had to leave suddenly. I asked if there was only one technician. He said no, there are 4 but he they are not picking up.
You can imagine my utter shock when I heard this. It sounded so completely careless and unprofessional on the company's part. I was extremely disappointed.
He said by tomorrow the connection would be installed.
When I called them the next day they would not pick up my call at all. Neither Mr. Rajesh nor his brother. When I called from a friends number they picked up and gave me some more excuses. When I proceeded to enquire more they cut my call.

This charade went on for weeks with them cutting my calls or talking rudely back to me when I demanded to know when the would come for the connection.
At first when I called customer care they listened and said someone will contact me regarding this issue in the evening, later that day. But nobody ever called or responded to my complaints.

I called customer care a few more times demanding some answers as to what is going on. They asked for the executives numbers and when they called, to my utter surprise, Mr. Srinivas and Mr. Rajesh picked up. The sales executives told the customer care executive that there was a cable connection problem and it will be fixed within two days. I asked why they couldnt inform me of this matter sooner and they said that their English communication skills were not good enough. What nonsense! Mr. Srinivas and Mr. Fazar speak very fluent English and had no trouble talking to me initially.
This repeated everytime I called customer care!

I was extremely mistreated for several weeks and nobody ever showed up or bothered to answer my call. I complained to the Team Leader Mr. Fazar as well but it seemed that nobody was doing anything.
The head of the R.Communications in this area also refused to speak to me. She said she was in a meeting and would not listen to my complaints. I was so horrfified! She would not heed to my complaints no matter how many times I called! The head chosen by your company to handle such matters did not have the time to listen to a mistreated customer! How shameful indeed.

Finally I asked for the cancellation of the connection. On saying this Mr. Fazar called me and said that he was sorry for the inconvenience and the connection would be installed the next day. He also told me that the technicians were playing a "game" with him and infact had lied to him saying that we, the customers, were never home when they went.
You can imagine how shocked and hurt I was to hear this as I have always been available at my residence waiting for them.

Mr. Fazar never came. Even he stopped answering my calls. Finally a week later he called me and said that they could not install the connection in my building. They said that only if more people from my building took up Reliance broadband service then they could install the modem on the roof. He even had the audacity to ask me to get more customers for him!! How appalling! I can only receive a connection once all they receive MORE customers! Is it company policy to only install connections if the number of clients is more?


I was utterly disgusted and displeased by this response. I asked for cancellation of the service and he said that I will receive a notification regarding the cancellation the next day. He also said I will get my money (A sum of Rs.1300/-) within 10-15days.

As is expected I have not heard nor have I received any notification from them.
It has been weeks since the cancellation.

When I called up Mr. Rajesh recently he instead asked me to all me tomorrow as he is out of station. I am tired of these excuses. i am tired of this poor service. I am tired of your employees.

I must express my Dissatisfaction and disappoint in your company. for such a prestigious company to show such little consideration towards a willing customer and to mistreat them this way is truly disappointing.

I now turn to a higher authority and hope my problem is resolved. Enough is enough.The amount I have tolerated i don't think any other human being can be as patient. Kindly return my money to me as soon as possible.


I look forward to a reply and some notable action to be taken form your side.
