Hi Sir/Madam,
There is a lot of noise pollution due to unnecessary/incessant honking in our residential area (of course same in many areas of Bengaluru). The Horn noise starts at 4AM and lasts till 2 AM almost all the days of a week (*with hardly 2 hours gap in a day, when it will be pleasant like in foreign countries*). In a span of 400-500 mtr there will be lakhs of times horn sound without a gap of a second (you may not believe but it is our daily experience !). It is mainly because of the bad habit of many people who simply honk and disturb others.
The residents of Shakambari Nagar, Gangadhara Nagar and the areas surrounding Banashankari temple are facing this issue regularly. We kindly request you to introduce the STEP HUMPS near pillar numbers #41 and 42 (near BSK sub-register office) to cover both sides of the divider (the way humps are put near pillar#50) on KANAKAPURA Road, which also helps to reduce accidents and helps in safe movement of vehicles.
And/OR
Please get the NO-Honking boards installed in the stretch between Banashankari metro station and JP Nagar metro station.
The unlimited noise level/frequency in this area is causing unpleasant environment to residents, nursing home, schools, temples, ill patients at home, infants' sleep etc.
Kindly consider this request and do the needful.
