[Resolved]  Burger King — order no lt[protected], dt:[protected], declined by burger king. amount 440/- not refunded yet.

Dear sir / madam,

Burger king order declined, order no lt[protected], dated:[protected], amount of rs. 440/- for which they have not yet refunded me yet.

I had put an order to burger king on the[protected], for a value of rs. 440/-. The order was placed at 12:26 p. M., at the churchgate branch. When i logged into their website, the site asked me the area of delivery, and on putting “nana chowk”, the website took me forward into the menu section.
The items / menu that i placed order for, is as below: -

The payment for the same was made by way of my debit card. The payment was made smoothly and the order placed.

At 12:33 pm i receive an sms intimating me that my order has been declined. The accurate dialogue is as follows: -
“sorry! We are unable to accept your order lt [protected] at burger king, churchgate – mumbai outlet. For refund call [protected].”

First of all, there has no reason mentioned whatsoever for declining the order.

As per the instructions given, through the above sms, i call up the burger king and the call is attended by mr. Satyam, who claimed that he cancelled my order. On asking him for the reason of cancel, he does not give me any reason. He assured me saying that i shall receive my refund within 7 days, but i didn’t receive any intimation of any sort on my mobile number for the same.

Generally, whenever my online order is cancelled, an intimation is given by that particular online seller on my mobile number, the very moment that my order is cancelled. Nothing as such did happen in this case.

On the[protected], after receiving no feedback from burger king of my refund, (Towards my declining order) i call them up again. The call is taken by faiz, who puts me on hold for a long time. I had to disconnect after holding for 10 minutes, as there was no response from the other end.

I call up again at 1:24 pm and this time too faiz picks up and says that my complaint of non refund process has been forwarded to their main office who would look into the cancellation matter, and find out the exact problem why the refund has not got processed automatically. He assured me that his immediate head mr. Nitesh would call back. Nitesh called me up after a few minutes; saying that the problem will he forwarded to mr. Stanley his head who will further in turn forwardthe issue to the finance team. And then after the feedback from the finance mr. Stanley would get back to me.

After receiving no call back from mr. Stanley, i called back on the[protected]. I asked the for mr. Nitesh. Mr. Nitesh said that the problem has been forwarded to the finance team and that mr. Stanley would call me up before 5 pm. He even added saying that their churchgate branch has received the mail from their main office for processing the amount. That day, till 5 pm i didn’t receive any call from mr. Stanley.

I again receive a call, on[protected], that same day at 19:27 pm from mr. Nitesh. He offered me a solution that why not take the order that i had placed on[protected], in order to end this problem and settle the matter. I told him that there was a specific occasion on the[protected], for which the order was placed and being christmas the children were all at home. He kept on requesting me to take the order, but i strictly refused as i had no need of it. I advised him further to pay me “in cash rs.440/-” and to close the matter. He said that this would not be possible, as the transaction was not in cash. I even told him that i can give his delivery boy in writing that i am receiving cash for the non refund of rs.440/-, as the debit amount is not reflecting automatically after the order is cancelled. He still was adamant on not giving me the cash.

If burger king and their assistants are ready to provide my order, then why on the[protected], they declined my order for no reason? Was it to fraud the money?

Till date they have not yet got to me at all. Neither have they processed my refund.
