When we purchased Godrej Lock, we were told that the installation would be done free of cost. I called the customer service toll free and got a reference number 653576. Technician called me within 2 days and informed me that he would charge Rs.200 for the visit. I would've otherwise paid this amount as tip, but the very fact he was demanding money for what was supposed to be a free installation irked me. I then called up the Customer Service team and spoke to a rep. He promised a call back in 20 minutes. Not to my surprise, i didn't get a call back. I called again after 4 hours. This time i spoke to someone named Adnan Syed. He promised to investigate and call me back. He called back in 5 mins just to inform me that my residence is outside city limits, and i have to pay at-least Rs.100. Sounded like poor bargaining. He was just getting Godrej down when he said that. My house is exactly 1.5 kms from Panvel Railway Station. Even requested Adnan to check using Google Maps. He chose to believe the cheat technician and kept the phone down. I wrote an email to Mr.Shyam Motwani (Executive Vice President & Business Head at Godrej & Boyce) thrice. But didn't get a single acknowledgement till now. This is not how we treat a customer in our Organization. Hope after reading this, someone will pick up the phone and talk to me and try to solve the problem. My phone number is [protected].

I have bought a Godrej Ultra Vertibolt lock a year back.. and since purchase, I have had to call for technical assistance from Godrej 3-4 times. The experience has been frustrating.. the technicians have attitude full of indecency, incompetence and wrong practices. They ask for extra money which then needs to be pushed back basis warranty.. and what so ever repairs they do, it lasts for 3-4 months. What does warranty mean? The technician comes and repairs the lock every 3 months; charges some amount and the lock breaks down again.. when will Godrej think of either replacing the lock or the technician? Do they not think something is wrong? And no action is something Godrej can choose on this complaint.. but this era o[censored]nwanted resilience by an Indian customer is getting over.. so act now. Purchased the door lock and requested for service on 14th March 2015. (Ticket number is 555654). They forwarded the request to EPT service point [protected]. After two days they forwarded the request to Mr. Sundarraj (Mob. No.[protected] and after two days he shifted my request to Subramanian (Mob. No.[protected]). on Friday 20th March one person ([protected]) through telephone told me that he will provide service today or atleast on Saturday. So far none of them has provided the service till date. As per your rule service has to be provided within 2 working days but it is delayed by 6 days. As we are going outstation for the safety of the house the service is to be provided immediately. In the absence of your service if anything goes wrong the entire responsibility lies on you only. it is a clear breach of service warranty. Hi Godrej, I had bought a lock 8 (Mortise Lock) months ago. Since then I had called Godrej Helplines multiple times to have the lock installed. But very sadly the response is very bad & no body turned up to install the lock. Last week again I have raised another Ticket (Tckt No.436334) for the installation, but none turned up. I have raised this with the dealer too. but no use.The lock bought for 3k is sitting idle in my house.

Recently i have purchased around 30 pcs Godrej Mortise lock and main door lock for my newly opened hotel at shivrinarayan, dist-Janjgir-Champa, Chhhattisgarh There is a manufacturing problem in one room door lock and that is in closed position, my carpentar has tried a lot to open it but he is not able to open it.I spoke to my prasad mo. [protected]. He told me there is no one available for service at your place . So i told him send some one from Raipur .then he didnot replied me properly and told me do whatever you want to do i will not send any person to your place .I asked him why do you sell product to a place where you wont be able to provide service, he didnot have any answer for it.I have basically purchased godrej lock for its service only and i am not getting the same .If i didnt get any fair reply from company i will put this case on consumer forum and will send this case to the editor of newspaper of our area.Rahul sultaniaMo. Dear Sir, Good morning. I am, Manickavasagam, Deputy Superintendent of police (Retd), living in Thanjavur. About two months back, I purchased godrej locks from the local dealer, "LUCKY HARD WARES" in East rampart street, Thanjavur for my new house.The lock was fixed on the door, and subjected for trial operation. But, after the key-rod was inserted for trial purpose, the key-rod could not be taken out. Ultimately, when it was taken out, the godrej key-rod was found bent and in twisted position. As result a result of this, that bent-key became totally a useless one. Other two remaining keys were thereafter utilized for usage. Anyhow, I was wondering as to how a product, that was manufactured by a well reputed and most popular Godrej company, could be a fragile and easily breakable one, like a local-made products. I purchased Godrej Cylindrical lock before a month and I am using it for only 6 days after that my bathroom lock was Completely stucked not able to open if we call customer care they will charge you Rs.350 for emergency repair. There was some problem in the product why we need to pay for it....
