On 25/06/2025, my mother faced a problem at spencer's azadgarh. an employee of that branch, deepak das, behaved rudely and did not pay attention to what he was told. he showed no respect for women and is incompetent as an employee. as she had frozen items, she asked for proper packaging, but the employee refused....

This is for your information that I had paid Rs. 2, 500/- at Spencer's Wallet on 15th May 2021 online from ICICI Bank vide reference no:[protected] but till date my wallet shows 0 balance nor the amount refund to my account.

    I have not checked brinjals and corn till now. Don’t know whether they too would turn out to be defective. Spencer’s is delivering products with fungus during this pandemic time and we have recovered from covid just 20 days back. There is always fear of fungal attack which has been declared to be a pandemic. I can see green fungus on all the 4 plums (Charged rs.149.70) requested them to get them picked up tomorrow morning and in the meantime i shall check the other 2 products too. These people are selling stale and bad quality products with huge prices. Even i had ordered fuji apples but was being delivered normal apples at a cost of rs.339. The apples were returned at the time of delivery since the brand was visible from outside the packing.

    I ordered food items on 31-5-21(order ID #[protected] order value Rs.706.90) which was delivered on 1-6-21(5 items out of which apples worth Rs.339 were returned and plums worth Rs.149.70 are all covered with fungus.Following up since then but no refund showing and order showing as delivered.Trying to follow up since last 3 days but no action even though e mail with pics were sent.perishables mostly of bad quality.

      Sir,
      I am a regular customer of Spencer's at kakinada, to day i have purchased some items from Spencer's. as per the norms of the central government every company/wholesaler/retailer they must check the temperature and provide sanitizer. but they were collecting sanitizer charges for the above. it is very unfair. we are paying state gst and central gst for each and every article. but these people are squeezing the public. In this pandemic situation evey rupee is important for us. These people are saying voluntary sanitization charges, but it is not true. we are not voluntary, we have our own at our pocket.

      kindly solve this problem as earliest as possible and help the public

        I had placed an order on 26-5-20 which was partly delivered on 27-5-20 and whatever was showing in invoice was also not delivered in full.Most of the perishables were spoilt and even after complaining no action was taken.
        I had even complained through Facebook messenger and through e mails but nobody is bothered.They should have picked up the inferior quality items I reported and refunded for them but they didn’t.2 of the items showing in invoice as delivered were still missing -one was confirmed by Deliveryman and the ridge guard was delivered only 1/2 kg instead of 1kg and that too was mostly spoilt.
        Kindly help me to get the refund processed

        Total Rs.346.28 is still due
        I don’t think this is proper that lots of items in delivered order are missing and many of bad quality-I had told them I am going to complain to the consumer forum but no effect at all.
        No action till now -no refunds no adjustments.
        Further ridge guard quantity were 2 but only 1 was delivered -refund of Rs.20 for it is due.The vanilla cake was for Rs.10 and needs to be refunded too.As for spoilt mangoes 1kg, pomegranate 1kg @Rs.165 and spoilt ridge guard (500g)refunds are due.

        The delicate fruits add packed way down in the parcel and are for sure to be spoilt .Against the earlier order brinjals were stale and wrinkles could be seen on them but no action for that too.Order no.#[protected] dated 22nd May 2020-instead of delivering such stale and spoilt items it is better to refund and not deliver by informing us beforehand

        Only a part refund was issued and no efforts were bade to pick up spoiled products -shall prefer not to buy through them in future fir all the follows up with little results only.

        Very bad quality products and lots of follow up with no response-who would like to but hopeless spoilt old stock of vegetables?Only watermelon was very good other perishables were just hopeless

        Very bad quality products delivered-even half the potatoes were spilt which could be known only when they were boiled and could not boil, the snake guard was dry and stale, the mangoes were hopeless and compressed and spoilt, the brinjals were very stale, the pomegranate were fermented inside.The complaint was lodged with the company but only a part refund was processed for waste products -no effort was made to replace them.No intimation was sent for refund too and the basis of refund.

          Spencer’s delivered part order on 23-5-20 but I can see no refund for my undelivered products.Also it delivered fresh potatoes of the value of Rs.22 instead of 1kg red potatoes I ordered and charged a price of approx.Rs.70 but no response to e mails also .No phone calls can be made either no chat option available on app.
          Credit memo no.#[protected] issued for Rs.447.80 as per e mail but no credit memo can be seen in account.Written many e mails but no response Or credit

          2kg potatoes ordered weighed only 1.5 kg and red potatoes 500*2 were not delivered instead only normal potatoes delivered .This is height of cheating

          No credit memo issued although showing and no intimation for refund to bank was made.The customer service team is inefficient and notifications for credits etc are not sent

            Spencers online app is delivering the worst possible service possible during these tough times (Covid19). As i pump up my order to take advantage of discount and get rid of handling charges, tax etc., this shop is not delivering all products - it is delivering one or two out of all orders and taking high handling charges consequently. They are delivering as per their availability despite taking orders days before and not showing if they are out of stock. Moreover, they are giving no update on what they are delivering and when. I am frustrated trying to reach out to them for the past 3 days. There is no customer support leaving me terribly helpless at what they are doing.

              I orderd 7items for order no. #[protected], I got only 4 items, i didn't get refund also, I want remaining 3 items or refund amount of 3items, I called many times but no response from spencers.this is the second time I got cheated by Spencers .first time when I cancelled the order I didn't get my entire amount and this time also I didn't get refund.

                Yesterday i visit south city located spensers at south kolkata. After purchased some grocery items. They charge extra rs 5/ for plastic bags. Why they charge extra for bag to carry some grocery items which i purchased from their store. This is their responsibility to provide me bags to carry items. And they also print their departmental store name on the bag. So they can use their client to for their publicity. Kindly take strict action against them. Spencers forced me to pay illegal amount to them which was totally unethical. I want my money back along with compensation.

                  We placed an online order at www.spencers.in on 28th June, 2017. The order was scheduled to be delivered today by 12.30 pm After a long wait and continuous follow up I was finally informed by spencer that the product is not available and that we can book later.

                  This is highly unacceptable from a company of such repute to fail to deliver such order. This has really caused inconvenience and the whole day was spent at home waiting unnecessarily.

                  If the product was not in stock I should have been informed about the same. It is unethical and a loss of valuable time for me.
                  Spencer Online is not reliable at all.

                  I received a message from Spencer's that price of dusehari mango is 29/= per kg. today, but when I bought dusehari mango from Spencer's at vivek khand gomti nagar lucknow, they charged Rs. 69/= for 1 kg dusehari mango from me, it has been replied by them that by this method we attract people and discount of Rs 40/= may be given subsequently..

                    To Whom It May Concern I went to Spencers at South City Mall on August 22, 2014 and purchased daily grocery items to the bill amount of Rs. 4599. I told the employee at the Cash-Counter that I wish to redeem my points so far accumulated against my membership card bearing no.[protected]. After trying to swipe the card in the machine, the person informed me that my card has not been activated and as such the points cannot be redeemed and to get the same actived I have to travel to the customer care desk and get things sorted. It is most unfortunate that a retail store of such repute functions in such a sloppy manner. Although I have been using the card for over a year and a half, now I get to learn that the same was not activated so far. I had to pay the entire sum of Rs. 4599/- and could not get the same adjusted against the points so far accumulated. I was told by few other customers that they have faced similar problem when they wanted to redeem the points. I fail to understand that why the cards are issued and what for the points are collected when at the time of need the same cannot be redeemed.

                        Sam Rizvi, Manager(OR at least that is what he claimed) of the Spencers Store, First Floor, C-134B, Sector 61, Opposite Flex Industries, Noida (UP) did not find it palatable when i tried to return a plastic Kitchen ware. I tried explaining him that since the lid of the plastic ware was not firm enough to hold liquid food like Dal and other liquid based gravy food, I would like to return the same and buy something else in exchange. To my dismay, Sam disregarded my complaint and went ahead to blame me and said that i should have checked that before unpacking the utensil. The utensil was packed in a see through thin plastic, which rendered no possible way of checking how would the lid hold on, without taking of that thin plastic cover. All reasoning with Sam proved to be futile and he simply remained inert and rude to the rationale i tried. He told me on my face that since no other customer would take the opened container, he cannot take it back and if he does he would have to pay for the loss incurred by Spencers.
                        Is this policy of Spencer's a consumer friendly one? I disagree! I was a customer of Spencers for about 2 yrs. I would never visit this particular Spencers shop again and caution people who do so.

                        NEVER GO TO THIRUVANMIYUR " SPENSORS" &" MORE". BOTH THE SHOPS CHARGING EXORBITANT CHARGES AND MORE OVER CHARGING PACKING CHARGES.

                        IN SPENSORS MOST OF THE TIME THE CARD WILL NOT ACCEPT DUE TO DEVICE FAULT. IF YOU ARE PAYING ,THEN THERE IS NO BALANCE TO GIVE BACK. SALES PASERSON ALWAYS INSISTS YOU TO PAY EXACT CHANGES
                        DON'T BUY VEGETABLES,FISH AND MEET ,ALL ARE WROTTEN .!

                        DON'T GO TO MORE ,WHICH IS OPPOSIT TO SPENCES, THERE YOU CAN SEE MOST OF THE RACKS ARE EMPTY ! . YOU CAN'T GET ANY ITEM AS PER YOUR WISH. MOST WORST THING IS THE BILLING STAFF THERE IS RUDE AND THEY WON'T RESPECT CUSTOMERS

                          double billing for a single transaction

                          Dear Sir ,

                          Regarding my sbi card no.[protected] , I've made transaction in Spencers in R B Avenue Kolkata - 700019 on 30.10.2009 for Rs2385.80 for purchase of groceries , but you've charged twice the amount against a single transaction , which is need to be rectified . I've already paid the actual due amount i.e., Rs2385.80 , so you're requested to do the needful at your end . It is also to be mentioned...

                          I have purchased a Senorita IFB washing machine at Spencers on Mosque Road in Bangalore. They showed me the pricelist and assured me that they were offering the lowest prices anywhere. On exchange with my old washing machine (which they claimed they were offering Rs2000) they said I had to pay only Rs.17500. Then I happened to visit the Reliance Digital Store on Cunningham Road in Bangalore. The same washing machine was on sale for Rs.16950 without exchange ! i called Spencers again as it was the same day and told them this. Yet they said there was nothing they could do. I made a complaint to [protected]@ifb.co.in but received no reply. Please see that the extra money taken is refunded
