I am writing to you on behalf of my mother-in –law and my deceased father –in - law, who were your customers vide details as below :
1. Late dayamoy mukherjee – 68, bissesswar banerjee lane, howrah -711101.
Customer id : [protected] : consumer no.: [protected]
2. Mrs. Chhaya mukherjee -68, bissesswar banerjee lane, howrah -711101.
Customer id: [protected] : consumer no.: [protected].
We had applied for disconnection of the electricity services and surrender of the connections on 01.08.2017.
We are grateful that thanks to the intervention of mr. Subhra mukherjee (Manager, commercial, cesc, howrah), the said meters were disconnected by your technician on 08.08.2017 and the latest meter reading was taken.
Brief background : the said premises was vacated on 15.07.2015 by my mother-in-law and she had shifted to my flat in kolkata. The house was placed under lock and key due to which reason the meters were not accessible to your meter readers.
Hence, due to non availability of the readings, we were being charged average billing w. E. F. 16.07.2015 for both the meters and we have made all the payments through internet banking on the dues dates. You can check your records.
Now, the house has been sold to mr. Ashim kumar bodhak on 09.08.2017 and the property has been registered in his name and possession has been handed over to him.
Complaint :
We were given to understand by mrs. Subhra mukherjee (Manager, commercial) that the full settlement of the dues would be made after calculating the actual amounts to be billed to us on receipt of the final meter reading on surrender and the excess amounts paid due to the average billing would be refunded to us.
I was shocked to receive a cheque for rs. 14.63p being the settlement amount for consumer no: [protected] (Dayamoy mukherjee - one of the connections) while the second one (Mrs. Chhaya mukherjee) is yet to arrive.
It is impossible that the electricity has been consumed w. E. F. 16.07.2015 and the meter reading would confirm that fact. There must have been something wrong in the calculations done to arrive at the refund amount.
Please be kind enough to look into this urgently and ensure that we get the full refund due as she is a widow without any income. We would be happy if a detailed calculation is also sent along with the cheque or through email.
Looking forward to your cooperation in this regard.
