Canara Bank — Amount Deducted From My Account Without My Knowledge

Respected Sir/Madam,

I have a savings account in Canara Bank. I noticed that an amount of Rs 436 and Rs 20 (Rs 456 in total) was deducted on June 16, 2023. I have attached a screenshot of the same. When I dug further, I understood that this amount was deducted as part of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana(PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana(PMSBY) schemes. I would like to bring to your attention that I never applied for these schemes. I never approached the bank for these schemes. No one from the bank called and asked me if I am interested in opening these schemes. These schemes have been opened without my knowledge. I kindly request you to take the necessary action and close these schemes as I am not interested in them and do not have the need either. I also request you to refund the deducted amount of Rs 456 to my account.
