Respected ma'am/sir,
I am an awardee o[censored]gc-jrf, currently a full-time phd scholar at avinashilingam institute for home science and higher education for women, coimbatore. My institution has completed my registration process and uploaded the various documents on canara bank scholarship
Portal. The scholarship amount, hra, and contingency has been approved from january 2019 onwards.
However, these amounts have not been credited into my bank account. The ugc-canara bank scholarship portal homepage shows the following error:
Beneficiary code: rejected.
Reason: bank name is not as per pfms bank master.
We have checked the bank name and ifsc code details and find no error. My bank account (Kotak mahindra bank ltd) is made of 10 digits. However, the canara scholarship portal shows 13 digits. Officials at kotak mahindra bank state that the use of '0' (Zero) before the bank account number could possibly have caused the error.
Kindly check and rectify this error (Or any other error that is preventing the amount from being credited) so that the fellowship amount can be received - smoothly by me.
