FIXED DEPOSITS in AYANAVARAM Branch
I maintain multiple FDs from Canara Bank over many years. Some are closed each year. Currently in FY21-22 I had 4 no.s Fixed Deposits, and the same are now closed.
COMPALINT:
Interests from FDs closed many years bank are appearing in the TDS certificate of FY 21-22. But Form 16 issued for the same year display correctly the 4 live FDs of FY 21-22, against 7 no. FDs shown in TDS certificate. Hence, the amount of interest credited appear erroneously more in the TDS certificate compared to Form 16. (attached )
The incorrect interest amount is shown in TDS Certificate only and it not credited in my account.
The actual interest for FY 21-22 is Rs 104994, but the TDS certificate shows Rs 178011.
REQUEST:
1. Kindly rectify the above problem and issue fresh correct TDS certificate to be submitted to IT. (Currently appering one attached )
2. Same was the case in FY20-21 also, consequently the IT paid by me was high. (The FD number included the already closed ones). Pls issue new TDS cert for FY 20-21 too.
