Canon India — Service related to faulty cartridges 830 and 831 purchased were given to service center at Jogeshwari. | |||||
Recently i had purchased two cartridges numbers 830 and 831 from Bandra retailer. On trying to use I found them to be faulty. So t found out from your web site the customer complaint center to be at Jogeshwari.. So i travelled from Bandra to Jogeshwari to lodge the complaint which was registered. However I was told that I should bring the printer along when the cartridge is received. So after two weeks I took the printer along but on checking it was reported that the coloured number 831 is also faulty. So the complaint was registerd for replacement. Now it is a month since my printer is not functional. I am 75 years old and imagine travelling all the way from bandra with a service complaint multiple times for a simple cartridge. I would have opted for a new printer instead of spending travel time. With the cost of cartridge and travel cost it would have been economical for me to buy a new printer of another make since canon does not believe in good service. I have been using ip1880 printer for some time now and have been purchasing cartridges 830 and 831 .
I purchased 2 cartridges on 26/08/2015 from a vendor in Bandra valued at Rs2345/- and when i tried to use 830 showed error.. and printer did not function . So on 07/09/2015 I went to Jogeshwari canon service center and showed the cartridge who took my complaint Number G 4933 with a direction that i must bring the printer along for collecting the same after receipt of replacement. Accordingly on 20/09/2015 I took the printer it was found that the colour cartridge 831 showed an error and service person took the complaint number JE 65419 for replacement . I requested that on receipt of the cartridge he should make delivery as the frequent travel for replacement is very tedious specially i being a senior citizen 75 years of age. I had to make several calls for any action in this regard and i am still unsure if the printer will function. I sincerely find your service center has to be better equipped to take remedial measures for simple complaints such as this. You can be sure that if these problems are not addressed properly you will loose customers permanently. Lawrence Braggs
