Capital Float — Harassment by recovery agents

Using Amazon pay later funded by capital float. I missed one repayment of 3816/- on 5th April due to an extreme financial emergency. On 27th April i received bill with emi of next month added to it. As per them after one missed repayment they can add emi of next month before due date of second month which was 9000/- As it was financial emergency i couldn't pay 9000/- on 5th May. They added the emi for next month too on 6th May and sent me total bill of 12000/-. Which was the total outstanding amount.

Finally an agent told me i can pay partially every month. Minimum is 1500/- . So i paid 2400/-, 2000/- and 1500/- for june, july and August respectively.

But this month they wanted more 3200/- as they said the minimum amount changed to 4700/- (1500 was already paid so more 3200/-)

So i started questioning them over phone and disconnected. Two men then repeatedly started coming to my house for that 3200/- . Shouting, abusing, calling us beggars, insulting through ugly words, creating a scene in the neighborhood. I'm staying in a rented apartment with my husband, the owner and other tenants of the building are troubled. It was a mental harassment for me and harm of respect .

I repeatedly told them not to come as i can't pay more right now but will pay on 1st of next month. They didn't agree. Came daily. I somehow arranged and by force had to pay 3200/- more. I sent multiple mails to capital float. They didn't reply a single one but forwarded internally to the recovery agents. They started threatening me for complaining about them. Their arguments started getting personal. They said complaint wherever you want be it police or rbi we will come daily and stand for hours.Now my last emi is left. 3300/- . I'm afraid they will harass in a similar way as they forced to pay the amount this month on 31st august. Now i will need time to pay the remaining. I stay alone most of the time. My husband goes for work.

Today, i have complained to rbi and consumer court too, waiting for their action now.

I hope these words will reach the company and it will keep an eye on its recovery agents. They miscommit, provide wrong info, threaten, forcefully take money more than one could pay and visit home daily to harass verbally
