I have been a customer of Care Health Insurance since FY 2019-20. On February 8, 2025, I admitted my son to their network hospital due to pneumonia. However, when the hospital sought approval from Care Health Insurance, the approval was denied without any factual verification or review of documents.in an email, it was stated that “can be treated on an OPD basis.” Despite providing previous OPD documents and reports, the approval was denied a second time.
I reached out to the claims team 2-3 times to request help with approving my claim. I submitted all the necessary documents. After 15 days, I had to admit my son to the hospital. During those 15 days, I continuously visited the outpatient department (OPD), but my son's health did not improve. Following an X-ray and other tests suggested by the doctor, I decided to admit him. Now, my claim has been rejected.
This was a very disappointing situation that, initial approvals are rejected outright without proper fact-checking.
Care Health Insurance, they are collecting huge money from customers but when the situation comes, they refuse to help customers during their worst period. They indirectly deceive people. Was this information helpful? |
