[Resolved]  CBSE — No proper infrastructure,More Fee collected than Govt. Norms

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

PON VIDYASHRAM, Kolapakkam is one of the worst infra structured school in Chennai. The buildings are similar to the 11 floor building collapsed at Moulivakkam. Building structures are so worst. They collected fees only by way of cash. No cheque’s, DD’s or bank payments are not accepted by this school. They collect more than the government fixed fees. For fee paid they don’t give any receipt. They only give a card stating full payment received with out mentioning the amount. By doing this they are only making BLACK MONEY. My two daughters are studying in this School. I have paid for 7th std. Rs.34450/- for UKG Rs.29550/- the above amounts are excluding books. They do not have experienced teachers. Most of the teachers are parents they are paid nominal salary. Buildings have started cracking. We are scared what will happen during the rainy season. Adjacent to the school main gate there is TASMAC liquor bar operating for the full day. Even the school management is least bothered about this. I addition to the above for books fee for 7th Std. Rs.4800/- UKG Rs.2200/- is being collected by the school and for that also no receipt is being given. The books values are only 50% of the above. Students are being given project works irrelevant the subject and tortured for immediate completion. Your kind intervention is highly appreciated

I have posted the above complaint in Aug'14. Till today no action has been taken. Now they have fixed a fee of Rs.1, 25, 000/- for LKG admission's during vijaya dasami. Most of the parents in the class of 5th to 8th Std have decided to take out their children from Pon Vidyashram, Kolappakam by end of this acadamic year.

Dear Parents of Pon Vidyashram, Kolapakkam

Please decide today [now], Its high time to decide. I strongly agree
with the above complaints. If our children continue in this school
further we will be loosing our money as well as our children's future.
This school will never improve because they are only thinking about the
money not the quality of the education after the demise of Sir
Dhamodharan.Hat's off to Sir Dhamodharan's service to the quality of
education. Please note this vijaya dhasami also they have fixed Rs. 1,
25, 000/- for LKG admission.

Dear Mr. Arun / Mr. Muruganantham

Greetings from "A" Square Foundation

It was nice talking to you today regarding the Pon Vidhyashram - Kolapakkam branch. We really appreciate the respect you have shown to the Parents complaints & Your listening to my telephonic conversation.

Following are the points that were shared with you during our telephonic conversation on behalf of all PON VIDHYASHRAM Kolapakkam Parents.
There were no receipts given to the payments what we make to the School. The fees is only by cash & No cheque’s, DD’s or bank payments are accepted.
My two daughters are studying in this School. I have paid for 7th std. Rs.34450/- for UKG Rs.29550/- the above amounts are excluding books & Uniform. In addition to the above for books fee for 7th Std. Rs.4800/- UKG Rs.2200/- is being collected by the school and for that also no receipt is being given. The book values are only 50% of the above. My elder daughter is studying in school from the inception of this branch.
Students are being given project works irrelevant to the subject and tortured for immediate completion.
For Smart Class PPT presentation preparation is the responsibility of the concern teacher. But they pass on this work to the students, in turn we are preparing the same for the students.
When parents come to the office, The office staffs will simply tell " you stand outside, We will call you" After even hours together waiting we will return with out any discussion (Very poor hospitality to the Parents)
During parents meeting when we discuss about the students, The teacher's are asking what the parents are doing with out coaching the child.(for which we are paying the fees to the School)
Students & Parent's are not asked for the willingness to participate in any program. They make their own decision and make every thing as compulsory and ask the students to pay lump sums. Also they insists the students to convince the parents and get the money.
Last month they collected Rs. 600/- for the sports dress for LKG & UKG students but the material given was only worth of Rs. 150/- . When we approach the school to meet the Principal of the school regarding this the office staff and teachers take it in the negative sense and target the students.
Now again today they have asked to bring Rs. 1500/- for the Annual day & they have indicated that in addition to this the parents need to pay for the sports meet and the amount will be informed by tomorrow.
No teacher is using the school dairy for the parents & teachers communication. (including LKG & UKG Students)
The Culture and Standard of the School started to detoriate form the academic year 2013 to till date. I am making this statement confidently because my elder daughter is studying in this branch since the inception.(2008)
This were well in control when Late Mr. Dhamodhan was managing the school and After him the school is running out of control on a single teacher decisions
To reduce the correction work load for the teachers the examination pattern has been changed in 2014 academic year. Which has also contributed detoriation of the quality and standard of the education in Pon Vidhyashram - Kolapakkam. (Exam pattern in 2013 FA1 - 40 Marks, FA2 - 40 Marks, SA1 - 60 Marks, FA3 - 40 Marks, FA4 - 40 Marks & SA2 - 60 Marks), (Exam pattern in 2014 FA1 - 20 + 20 Marks, FA2 - 10 Marks, SA 1 - 60 Marks, FA3 - 40 Marks, FA 4 - No exam, SA 2)
Regarding conducting yoga in the sports meet, We would like to bring to your kind notice that doing yoga any time of the will give only negative result. It has to be done on specific timings with specific diet. Please note doing this if any negative things happen to the children the Pon Vidhyashram School will be held responsible.
Till 2012 All School Dairies used to carry a Message from Late Mr. Dhamodharan and the list of teachers in the School with their qualifications but now these contents were removed from the dairy.
Regarding purchase o[censored]niforms from school, I would like to bring to your kind notice that every time when we buy material from the school there is 30 cm per meter of material is short, Hence we are forced to buy the material outside again and the material purchased from school goes waste by this we are incurring double expenses. Like earlier days if the uniforms are stitched by the school and issued, Then we accept your circular for buying the uniform from school.
Conducting Sports meet & Annual day in the last quarter of the academic year on the same day is putting students and parents to a tremendous pressure for taking the child to school and bringing back. ( Since for this there is no van arrangement is available also on financial side we are forced to pay lump sums for costumes and others). Hence, We suggest that the sports meet to be conducted in the first quarter of the academic year and Annual Day in the last quarter of the academic like earlier days will help us a lot.
We suggest that at least once in a month the concern school principal to meet the Parents in a hall and listen to the parents complaints and at last address to the parents what is his/her improvement plan to over come the complaints. All these to be put in records by the concern branch manager and reported to the Management.
Also We suggest every quarterly the Management to meet the parents and review the pricipal's monthly improvement plans and suggest for further improvement of the Institution. Also take parents suggestions in a positive manner and direct concern branch administration to implement the improvement suggestions to bring back the institution to the world class standards in the quality of the education.
As a well wisher of the school, I kindly request your kind intervention to sort out the above at the earliest possible which is highly appreciated.
Looking forward to meet the management in person with your appointment.

Respected Sir(s)
Greetings from "A" Square Foundation

Further our previous mail, We would like to bring to kind notice the We had a meeting on yesterday morning (29/01/2015) with your Kolapakkam Branch Manager & Ms. Dhugalakshmi - Coordinator in detail about all the points and certain points were accepted by them with regard to the sports and annual day programs.

Again in the evening they called to meet the Principal who was away from the office in the morning. The evening discussions were not up to the mark, Since they were trying to divert every thing towards the parents and students. Saying that Students have not communicated correctly to the parents and they feel that they need to arrange for a counselling for Parents and Students. by which they were trying to get away from the main points of the discussion. No concrete solutions were arrived in this discussion.

Also, We would like to bring to your kind notice that after the morning discussions Ms. Dhurgalakshmi has passed on some loose talks to Ms. Arthi (Dance Teacher) in front of the students after we left the campus. This message has reached to the other parents through their children and the same was informed to me by a parent today morning.

The problems of this branch will not get solved with out your intervention.

We are looking forward for a positive action to the improvement of the this branch and keep up Institutions image to world class level which was the dream of our Mr. Late Mr. Dhamodharan.
Thanks and Regards

Respected Sir(s)

The above mails dated 29th January 2015 & 30th January 2015 were sent to you as Pon Vidyashram Parents Voice. Also at this point we would like to bring to your notice the circular issued by the school regarding the Transfer Certificate asking the parents apply before 15th February 2015 & other wise they need to pay one term fees till 31st March 2015 & those who apply after that has to pay the full term fees, which is practically not possible. By which it is very clear that this institution is turning in to a commercial business organisation instead of a service organisation (School circular copy is being attached for your reference). We kindly request you to address all the parents voice at the earliest possible.
