We had used this company's service to move our house articles from Thane to Mumbai. We were promised that our goods will reach Chennai by 4 days and that they will arrange one single truck just for our goods, However they took 3 weeks to deliver our goods and that too they had combined somebody else's goods in the truck meant for us. We had handed over the goods to their mumbai office on 9th may 2010 and we got part delivery on thew 23rd of may 2010. We came to know from their drivers sheet that the truck had moved from mumbai on the 19th of may only. On top of that they also left part of our articles in mumbai itself. We had to do many a rounds of their chennai and mumbai office to get our articles. Please note that we had made full payment to the movers and packers in mumbai. Inspite of all this we have still lost one carton box which contained our electronic items.We had also paid for the insurance and now the company owners tell us that insurance is just an eyewash. We will not get the money of our goods worth. Also they had not taken insurance on my name instead they had taken bulk insurance in the name of the Movers and packers company.
We are at loss and do not know how to get these people be accountable to the trouble they have given us.

Regarding the complaint against Chennai Packers & Movers.

I have moved from Navi Mumbai to Bangalore. And opted Chennai Packers & Movers and booking on April 13, 2010.

After so many followup, they delivered my partial goods on May 10, 2010.

Since then I am continuously following up with Mumbai office, Bangalore office and Chennai Office. There is no responsible from them.

They till call morning, and if i call morning they say call around 1.30 and then I call them at 1.30 then they say call 4 pm and then they said 6 pm. By 6 pm they gone home and security picks up the call and he tells that the person is left. Call tomorrow morning.
This is the news i am getting every day since last 2 months.

I am constantly in touch with Dhakshanamurthy of Mumbai, Srinivasan of Mumbai and Vijaykumar from Chennai. But everybody is irresponsible.

I also sent a 3 letters to them thru regd. post. But no response.

They don't access mail and they will not able provide the fax no. I don't know what company they are running.

Immedialy action needs to be taken against these criminals and force them to shut the business, if they are not serving their customer properly.

I have paid 18000/- cash in cash, without cash they are not evening lifting the household items.

Now they are not even speaking to the customer and not evening refunding the amount. My missing items are SUN Direct DTH Dish Antenna, Dinning table (chairs received) and dressing table.

My humble request to all the reader / public is not to opt for Chennai Packers & Movers.

I had booked a Chennai Packers & Movers - Chennai to Bangalore on 30th May 2010 [Sunday]. I aksed for a separate Truck. They initialy quoted 13,000. But I just asked the possibily to make it around 10,000 but still a separate truck only. They agreed for that 10,000 and a separate truck and deliver the goods on 31st May [Monday] 2010 , by 2-3 PM. But they Goods were not delivered on monday and I called so many times. They were not speaking properly. And somehow they came for delivery on tuesday night that is on 1nd June around 10PM with 3 missing items. I am still calling this people for the missing items. Chennai People are telling to contact Bangalore office and Bangalore office people telling contact Chennai office. But still i have not got my 3 missed items.

This is Ramachandran and shifted my house hold things from Bangalore to Neyveli (Tamil Nadu) on 2nd june 2010 through dedicated vehicle (Covered vehicle) of Chennai Packers & Movers. I paid them the full amount of Rs.14500 (with Tax). When I enquired them 2 days later, they said that vehicle is in chennai as the tyre was burst. I was shocked, because the route for Bangalore-Neyveli & Bangalore-Chennai are different. They kept my things at Chennai office (Kolathur). They kept on saying this reason for 3 days. Then I decided to ask them to charge for Shared vehicle and return the remaining money back (or) return the money back, thereby I'll take the things from Chennai using my arranged vehicle. First they accpeted to take back the things, later without informing they arranged separate vehicle (Open type, from different Transport company -- R.R.Roadways) & covered the things with sheet. I received my goods on 6th June 2010. Goods were carried by a driver and no one from Chennai Packers & Movers have come to unload the goods. I along with my family members unloaded the goods. Also they have lost a cotton box (filled with my personal goods) and received some of the goods in poor conditions. Driver of the vehicle said that Chennai Packers & Movers simply dragged the goods on the road instead of the carrying them safely.

Beware of Lady - Latha at Bangalore & Vijaya Kumar at Chennai office. They are Very Big Cheaters.

I have sent my things from navi mumbai to Mayiladuthurai in Tamil nadu in Chennai Packers and Movers on 25/04/2010, While booking my things I was told that the delivery would be done in max 10 days. It is almost 45 days now and there is no proper communication. Every time I call I am being told it will be delivered in 2 days, I am calling them everyday and there is no action from their end.
Finally i got my things except my bike on 22/05/2010.After that i continued calling them regarding bike but no response or improper response till date.

I have called on this company on 09 05 2010, for transporting my household articles from Chennai to Trichy. One Mr Nazar has submitted the quotation for 13236/- for direct delivery as the number of items were minimium. I confirmed the same on the same day for booking on 22 05 2010 so that I will get the delivery on 23 05 2010. On 21st I got a confirmation call that they will come at 9 am for packing. At around 11.30 am four of their packers landed up without any vehicle stating that the vehicle will come once the packing is completed. All the four guys were North Indians and they don't understand what we say. They did their own way of packing without considering us. Packing is completed at 1.30 pm and when we informed their office we got the reply that the vehicle will come within two hours. But for hours together we didnot get the vehicle and one Mr Balaji has never responded promptly and at 7.30 pm he gave me drivers phone number and asked me to contact which is out of my job. Even then I called on the driver and got the reply from him that now only he is starting from Koyambedu. Again when I called him at 8.30 pm he told me that his vehicle got broke down self motor failed, and he said it is not his responibility answer me. I called the office again and asked them to cancel the booking. Balaji told me he is arranging alternative and gave me the drivers mobile number. Till 12 midnight the vehicle didnot turnup and aroung 12.15 am the driver called and told he could not locate the address. I had to go the main road to guide him. My whole family lost our sleep and it was really a nightmare for us.Next day morning 23 05 2010 only the loading happened and it is very pathetic that I was forced to fillup all the LR and other transportation details as their supervisor didnot come and only the North Indians were available. I was told by Balaji irresponsibly that it is your house hold articles, if you want the shipment to happen, you fill it and send it. I was assured that delivery on the same day evening. But the delvery happened only on 24 05 2010 at 3.30 pm. When I asked this driver, he gave a circastic reply that the dynamo of the vehicle failed. Moreover the vehicle is totally un safe, open vehicle. Our entire family had undergone massive mental torture. Also we had to miss the our train which we planned on 22 05 2010. This stands as a vital example for the worst services ever tortured any customer to the extreme and the organisation never ever bothered to respond promptly, having paid double the cost we could not digest this king of treatment.

We have booked your parcel service for transferring our House Hold Goods (own use) through Chennai Packers and Movers parcel service from chennai to Payal (Ludhiyana, Punjan) on 7-Apr-2010 and the total number of parcels provided by us is 9.

After a long fight between your team our continuous follow-ups (we have fed up with these) we have received the parcel on 10-May-2010 and out of 9 Parcels we have received only 8 Parcels from the parcel service. The one which is missing is not delivered to us till now.

Moreover few days before when we called up your parcel office as we have not received the parcel, we got a message that we have to pay Rs. 3000 additional as your team has quoted the amount incorrectly. We agreed to pay the Rs. 3000 (though it is a mistake from your side) till now we have not received our parcels completely and also the Parcels which we have received are delivered to us in the open state.

Please take necessary action on this.

This is about my experience with Chennai Packers and Movers, which is totally unforgettable from a concern which advertises as "No Tension Shifting" firm.

I booked for a domestic shifting from Bangalore to Chennai with Chennai Packers and Movers and confirmed the date and time for shifting. Previous day of shifting no one called me and got the from and to address (full address). I was trying to reach Chennai packers and movers previous day of shifting; I have made around 50 calls to all 3 numbers mentioned in the website. It was busy sometime, ringing sometime but no one responded. It’s on Thursday. I left Chennai and reached Bangalore on Friday. I made call on Friday morning around 10 am. I labour attended the call and gave me Bangalore contact number. I told them the from address (Bangalore) and number of boxes & rope. I scheduled around 7 pm. They came before 7 pm. Labour visited my house and he told me that he did not bring rope and brought only 10 boxes instead of 20 boxes. He rescheduled to next day (Saturday) morning 7 am. Vehicle did not reach on time. I was kept on calling cab driver and labour. Finally vehicle reached around 9 30 am, Shifting was fine and gave 2 litre of cool drinks to the labour. I have given 200 rupees tips to the labour. He confirmed that he will deliver on Sunday or maximum Monday evening.
I reached Chennai with family that I would get goods on Sunday or Monday. I have stayed in hotel near tambaram. I have given call ([protected] ) to Chennai packers and movers on Sunday. One guy attended he said, he is labour and gave me another number [protected]. He told me that he will deliver it on Monday morning. I told him that please deliver it on Monday evening because I need to go to office. I scheduled around 6 30 pm. Noone called me and confirmed timings. I was wondering and called again by evening 1 pm. He told me those Goods on the way to Chennai. By evening I called up, one guy told me that he just got the goods and delivers it Tuesday morning. Keep in mind after 2 or 3 calls only someone will attend the call. I was waiting Tuesday morning, No call from Chennai packers and movers. I have called up on Tuesday and guy told me that he will deliver it by evening once good reached Chennai office. By evening I called up one guy and ask him to latha supervisor. She was not ready to talk to customer. One labour was requesting and asked apology for the delay. He told me that Goods not yet reached Chennai office. It will reache today night (Tuesday). He will deliver it on Wednesday morning. I requested him to deliver it after 6 30 pm on Wednesday. I was wondering no confirmation call from anyone. I have given call to Chennai packers and movers by afternoon. He said, he did not receive goods and once it reached, he will deliver it. I wanted to talk to latha ([protected]) because she was one booked it. I spoke to her, she asked me consign number and told me that she will call me back half an hour.

I did not receive call from her after 1 hour. I made call to Bangalore office whether they have sent to Chennai office or not. I called up [protected], he is in vellore and asked to contact other person. Then I called up [protected]. He confirmed that he sent the goods on Saturday (3rd April 2010). He said, he will find out from latha and Balaji and call you after 5 minutes. I did not get call from him more than 15 minutes. I again calledhim. First time he disconnect the call and second time he attended the call. He told me that they will deliver it on Thursday (8th April 2010). Because of labour shortage, they are not able to deliver it seems.
No one knows about importance of serving a customer and never care about customer satisfaction
I have not received my goods till this time.

we booked our house hold goods at tiruchi by chennaipackersmoversat corporate office at kolathur 24 ambedkar road chennai99 on 25.02.10 vide lr no 00577 on our frequent efforts the consignment delivered on 20.03.2010 telling some excuses . we went from pillar to post to get things done mumbai,tiruchi,chennai offices responded without any cordination daily they replied today you will receive. at last the main parts of the double cot and dining table not delivered yet. when enquired 5 days before i got irritated and asked with angry mood for that i recived the reply with unparliamentary words and challenged

my house hold Materials were loaded from C-91, Anuvijay township near kudankulam, (LR number: 00324) on request & confirmation from your madurai branch that material will be delivered on 10th of January-10 along with an assurance from your person in madurai (Thiru Thankamani – Representative) that they shall deliver the material safely and without any loss compared to agarwal packers and movers as stated by your person over phone.
The house goods were loaded on 30.10.09 saying that a lorry is leaving Chennai on 01.01.10 with materials to delhi and my house hold materials will be delivered as part load to Rihand nagar and the amount of Rs.36000/- was handed over to your person Mr. Shankar on 30.10.09.
I like to mention here that the Total materials list is confusing, when one of your person has included small cycle in the LR in kudankulam, the same is missing in the list prepared in your Chennai office (Total 36 items).
During transit of household goods, I have contacted Mr. Yadav, Mr. Ramachandran, Mr. Balaji and Mr. Murali. The details of location of material were vague and everyone informed different places from Nagpur back to Nellore to Agra to Allahabad, which was disturbing us mentally as me and my family had reached Rihand nagar and was staying in the guest house as your person confirmed us that the material will reach Rihand nagar by 10.01.10. Also, we had to purchase necessary materials from bedspreads, food items for cooking for the whole week from 11.01.10 to 18.01.10 which has doubled our expense. Also, it is really hurting that your driver had taken two days leave during shankaranthi and delayed the transit when all our family were suffering here in Rihand.
Even till date the answer form your office in Chennai is not clear, one says the missing materials has been dispatched and collect information from Delhi. The Delhi person has no idea and directs us to contact Chennai office. Again Chennai office people gave assurance that they will call back in the evening and they did not do so. The issue is again back to ground zero and no body know where the materials are at present
As per the discussion, it was clear that the materials will be unloaded by your person and the materials will be carried in your vehicle, but, the materials reached us through a gypsy from some ‘Anil forwarding agency’ (Vehicle number UP 70 AT 4829) and we had to arrange on our own for unloading and arranging our materials.
I believed that Chennai packers and movers were good concern and will keep their word as promised but to my dismay it was totally the other way round. We have telephoned number of times & costed more than Rs. 500/-
You are requested to look into the matter seriously. Either you are requested to sent the materials or repay the amount for cycle (Rs. 2000/-), lost house hold items (grocery items, kitchen items) (around Rs. 4000/-) , unloading charges (Rs. 1000/-) and additional items purchased due to delay in receipt of material for one week (Rs. 1000/-).
Early action in this regard is solicited. The action taken may be replied. Further if the company is really interested in growing more and more please keep up your promise and do good to owners who have packed goods which are valuable in lacs.

I have my household items to transfer from Chennai to Delhi and Patna LR No. 1795 and 1796.

The booking was done on 28/12/2009 with advance payment of Rs.8000/-.

Even by today's date of 21/01/2010, I have not received my goods. Despite my busy schedule I have to make regular followup, but no person of this company is telling me the status.

I am worried that the goods will be delivered to me ever.

I am the latest victim of Chennai movers and packers. Please don't go for Chennai packers and movers. They damaged many of my valuable things due to their improper packaging and handling.I have shifted my house hold goods from delhi to chennai on april 2009(Murali field executive in delhi). i received some items after the delay of 02 months in worst condition (packing was tampered and clothes, blankets, suitcases were fully wet and rotten). Another item i received on 21.01.2010 which i personally went to their office which is located at padi byepass chennai and collected it from

So please dont go for chennai movers and packers.

Don't go for Chennai packers and movers. They damaged many of my valuable furniture, glassware, utensils and electronic items due to their improper packaging and handling. Their workers are unskilled and even don't know how to pack glass and porcelain things. There is no use of plastic containers and standard carton boxes. Delivery will be in months after making repeated phone calls. Agarwal packers are far better at the same cost. Please don't relay on their website details.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have sent my bike from chennai to Chengannur in kerala in Chennai Packers and Movers on 14/10/2009, While booking my bike I was told that the delivery would be done in max 10 days. It is almost 30 days now and there is no proper communication. Every time I call Iam being told it will be delivered in 2 days, I am calling them eveyday and there is no action from their end.
What should be my next step of action? Iam totally confused and need some guidence.

This movers and packers should be black listed for wrong information and no proper response.

I am in the process of relocating from Chennai to Bangalore on Saturday .I had contacted Chennai Packers and Movers for the shifting process. The company had send K.Abdullah to my residence in Adyar.
The packing process was completed at around 7.00 pm.I was informed that the goods would reach the Bangalore address on Monday.

Since I had not reached on Monday I had contacted them on Tuesday and asked if it can be delivered that evening. They said they would and give a call in the evening. I had called them again and again but I got very poor response most of the time the calls being unattended. Later I got a message saying the goods will be delivered only on tuesday.Again I kept calling to ask what time the goods would be delivered tomorrow and requested to be sent before 7.15am as I would not be available after that.
Then I had called Mr. Balaji at around 7.30 pm to say that his Bangalore Counter Part is not responding.
After many unattended calls he picks up I asked him where his office is so that I can go and collect the things and asked if they would reimburse me the charges incurred. Then he asked me to come by town bus to collect the things.
In some time I got a message (SMS) from the Bangalore Contact person Mr. ValliSelvam that the goods will be delivered by 6 am and not to worry.

Morning 5.45 I called up Mr. ValliSelvam to check if they are finding any problem in reaching my house in Banashankari but his mobile was switched off. Then I called up Mr.Balaji in Chennai to find out what was happening. He picks up and said he will call me back. Again at 6.45 I call him back and then he gives me Elango’s no.
Elango said he is starting immediately and asked me the landmark At 7.48 am. I call him again he asks me if my luggage was microwave oven, washing machine etc which is not mine. I told him my actual items.
Again I call at 7.51 to know if he had started he says he cannot come as there is a bandh.
I called and checked with other people if vehicles are moving .Then I called him again to say that vehicles are moving and I need the delivery ASAP.
I tried calling all throughout no one picked. I receive a call from a driver in Chennai packers and movers at 10.30am and he says that he is starting and again gives a list of wrong items to be delivered. He is asking me the route to reach my place.
By now iam exhausted sitting and typing this totally stressed out. Its 11.27am now hoping to receive my goods in right condition.

all most every day i used to push them up for giving me the present status, but they just used to commit me that it will reach in 2 , 3 days. like this the whole 1 month has passed, they were saying the vehicle is stopped ib the andhra border due to the problems happening in andhra.some times they r saying it has reached orrissa border will deliver in 1 day. but nothing happened, whole one month has passed. innitially balaji, was under the charge of this consignment, but now on the same contact no he is never available, some other persons r picking up the call, and they dont have the proper idea.they gave me kolkata branch office no also but the no is invalid. now i have no idea how to collect my items, it is atleast more than one lakh valued items. more than 70 thousand is the cost of my books.

During the process of our shifting from Chennai to Delhi, Chennai Movers and Packers had undertaken the responsiblity of transporting our car from Chennai to Delhi. They had taken the car from us on 4-Nov-2009 and till now they are yet to deliver the car to Delhi (today being 20-Nov-2009). On calling up, their replies are always irresponsible, callous and rude. Today when we called the Chennai no. (from Delhi this must be the umpteenth STD call to Chennai) Mr. Vijay Kumar, Manager had the audacity to say that "how many times I have to tell you that your car will be delivered on Monday, and if you don't get on that day, then we should call him". From his response, the following are apparent:

- No commitment to timelines (earlier they had verablly committed that they will take a week to 10 days).
- Now that deadline is far over, they have now the callousness to say that even they cannot stick the delayed date.
- No redressal mechanism, since we have already paid the payment in full when they take our car.

I would like to seek guidance:
- to seek compensation for the losses incurred by me due to expenses incurred on taxis, autos and the time and discomfort causes due to such mode of commute in Delhi.
- to seek compensation for the mental stress and agony about the uncertainty regarding the safety of our car in terms of high risk of its internal parts being subjected to theft and pilferage.
- to cancel the licence provided to this service provider so that future hapless customers are spared of such financial loss, mental stress due to such unscrupulous, negiligible and irresponsible business conduct.

I have booked my household goods through Cheenai Packers & Moves on vide their consignment Note No. DHI 0073 dated 14.12.2008 from Delhi to Dharmapuri. While on the transit, my household goods have been damaged and I have informed the same to their concerned officials through E-mails/Regd. AD letters and telephonic discussions. While receiving the goods, their driver and their staff have confirmed that the goods have been damaged and given in writing by them. Since then, I am requesting them to inspect the things and they have inspected the goods in my house. Since then I am writing the letters to them, but they are not all responding, particularly their Managing Director Mr.T.Kumar. I have sent my final letter dated 16.9.2009 stating they should compensate me, otherwise I would seek justice in the Court of Land.

I have shifted my house hold goods from mumbai to chennai, They have not delivered my Rs.10000worth of goods, When i asked this question to chennai branch manager ( near padi bypass), he not even listen my words rather he picked some lady call and start to discuss about his lunch and afternoon food. I waited for more than 20min he never bother me...

Company reputation are in trouble because of worng people at wrong place or position...I request chennai packer and movers to look into this matter. or soon things will change in your business because of such peoples.

I was working in Bangalore, Due to shifting of my job i have force to shift my family to chennai.
I have approched Chennai packers & movers for shifting the goods. He has agreed for rs.13, 000 for shfting .which includes packing loading, unloading debreeze cleaning .During discussion they said though we have mentioned the payment in advance (which Mr.Kumar )claims that is his standard procedure and youcan pay the amount after shifting.

But after loded my goods in their vehicle they were harrassing to pay entire amount in cash .After prolong discussion they have agreed for Rs.10, 000/- immediate cash and the balance amount to paid after unloding the goods.

As a whole family, after reaching and waiting for the goods to reach home, When i called to findout the staus in the morning, they have told that the goods will be reaching before 2.0 p, m and i was waiting till 2.00 p, m and when i again called the goods status, Mr.Kumar & Mr.Balaji is informing that i have to come and pay the balance amount to his office which is in Kolathur which far away from my residence (Tambaram) I was begging, that i have kept the money ready and i will pay the same after unloding.They are harrassing that they will not send the goods till i have to come and pay to thir office (But actual discusiion was, i have to pay after unloding only)

SInce i have joined in the new company and i have put my daughter in a new school, all our important document & my daughter school uniforms are strucked in the transport

When i was thretening that i will go to police to lodge a complaint, they are cooly saying that they have seen many police and that they are paying money for them also. Hence they cannot do anything.

I have about launch a complaint ion the police station and i was given a last chance to send the ggods back, finaly they have send the goods by late night (In that also some item are missing for that they have n;t given proper answer.SImilar kind of experience has happened to my father inlaw (who is Heart Patient three years back) When i hae pointed out the same, Mr.Kumar has asssured that this will not happen this time. But they have behaved worse than last year.

They will not change. They will harrase many people in future also.

They have dismantled my cot in Bangalore, they have refused to refitting .

Since many people don't know about their tacktis, they are fell as prey like me.

Hence i am appeling to the public that please don't choose Chennai Packers & Movers for shifting your goods in any part of the country.

They are Cheaters and they will take raid on you and your goods also will not be safe.
