Citibank — Credit card fraud - idea payment and citi | |||
I had received a fraudulent call from a number [protected] on 6/8/17 at 5:00 pm and they told me they were from citibank. They had information of the type of card i had and told me that my points were getting expired and can be converted to cashback provided i confirmed my information. They told half of the card numbers of my citi credit card and asked me to confirm my card details such as expiry date and cvv number to make changes in the citi website. A total of 4 yransactions worth 4785 rs were made fraudulently and it seems that some one from the bank is involved in the same. Please cancel these transactions Rs 4, 785.00 was spent on your credit card 4386xxxxxxxx0790 on 08-jun-17 at idea payment. I faced the same issue last Year and Rs 14, 000 of fraud transactions happened.
I have 10+ Years of relationship with citibank and citibank did not even show basic courtesy to support, they simply said you should not disclose the cvv number, they asked to go and register police complaint. Citibank never responded back and their citi-phone is so annoying.
Once Again I paid the amount, a loss with good intention that it is the end of it and asked citibank people to close the card, but they only blocked the card and they are now charging me annual fees of Rs 1200, the card is blocked but not closed .
Citibank knows we are not using the card, they do not have minimum courtesy to listen that we dont need your credit card, they force and extract money.
Very poor response from citibank, unncessarily causing inconvenience to their customers, Many have suffered in this fashion and it is for sure that the people involved are internal citibank people only as the Person who called me and took the details told me my credit card number though I had never used the card even once after I recieved.
Where are reward points and benefits you talk about, You cannot even give basic protection to the customer.
