Updated by Jeremy555 We, the residents of Kharghar Sector 27, are writing to raise a serious and ongoing concern regarding the acute water shortage in our area. Since moving in, we have been receiving water for barely 20 minutes a day, which is grossly inadequate for any household to meet basic needs.
This is not just a matter of inconvenience—it is a denial of a basic human necessity. Water is not a privilege; it is a fundamental right, essential for health, hygiene, and dignity.
What makes this situation even more disheartening is that we are law-abiding, tax-paying citizens who contribute regularly to the development and upkeep of this city. Despite fulfilling our civic responsibilities, we are being denied access to one of the most essential services. This disconnect between contribution and service delivery is deeply concerning.
Many families are now being forced to take extreme measures—some are moving out of rented homes, while others are incurring additional financial burdens by staying in hotels or arranging private water supplies. This is unsustainable, especially for middle-class families already managing tight budgets.
We respectfully urge your office to treat this issue with the urgency it deserves and take immediate steps to restore a consistent and sufficient water supply to Sector 27. Your prompt action will not only bring relief to hundreds of families but also reinforce trust in our public systems.
