First Order: 3 pairs of shoes on 24th July 2022 for 15% Off. However they delivered only 1 pair after 15 days. The other two pairs were shipped and were out for delivery on 17th and 22nd of July but both never reached my place. When I contacted their customer care over 3 calls, they simply refused to find out the reason why there was no delivery. They told me that on the 2 separate occasions they were processed for a return.
Next, on the call on 17th, the customer care representative told me to reorder the shoe that had been cancelled so I placed another order for 2 pairs of shoes on 17th Aug 2022 for 10% off. This time again, a pair was delivered 16 days later while the other pair was 'dispatched' but now on Sep 7th, again as with the first order, this second pair is on RTO back to the store without any attempt of delivery.
When I called Clarks on 24th August and escalated to the Line Manager about the two missing pairs from the first order. They promised me a discount at the local store. However, as of 7th September, I've received no communication whatsoever.
A fraudulent operation seems to be in place - where they 'dispatch' ghost deliveries that are never received. They then claim RTO. It looks like a tax evasion scam. They discount multiple pairs of shoes but send only one. The remaining shoes 'sold' for a discount are 'returned' and then sold again at full price.
They were pretty hesitant to find out and get back about the long delays (they say 6-7 days) but the fastest was 16 days. I also asked about the details of the 'attempted deliveries' - again they avoided that.
I have more receipts/correspondence detail if required.
