[Resolved]  Clear Car Rental — harassment by the taxi driver n over charging

I am a retired professor n a senior citizen.Me n my wife had gone on a pilgrimage to Lord Bhimasankar of Pune.We had an Indica AC taxi booking from clear car rental.The booking no is PK00020245 Dt.28-10-13 n was done through net.The date of travel was 13-12-13.from Pune Rly station to Bhimasankar n back. The distance from Pune Rly station to Bhimasankar is 120Kms.For a return journey the distance is 120 X 2 =240 Kms.Accordingly, the company gave us a Kms limit of 250 Kms n charged Rs, 2730/= for the return journey.It was also mentioned that for any excess over n above 250 Kms an extra Rs.8.50 per Km will be charged.As we had no plan of going any where other than the temple we agreed to the condition n made an advance payment of Rs.546/=.The balance amount of Rs.2184/= was to be paid to the driver after the journey.The company informed the driver's name n his mobile number through a message on 12 th evening.The name of the driver is Bharat n his cell no. is [protected]. On 13 th morning I contacted the driver. He called me back at around 6.45 AM n asked us to come out of the station n report near his taxi.His behaviour appeared to be rude n rough.However, we went out n could locate him in front of the Rly. station.We expected him to help us in putting our luggage in the taxi, which he did not.I had to request him for the same.After we entered inside the taxi, he asked us to agree to pay for 300 Kms journey.When I told him that the two way distance is 240 Kms n we have no plan of going any where other than the temple, he told me that either u agree or I shall throw u out of my taxi, when my meter will show 250 Kms of journey. He was not in a mood to hear our counter.As we r old people n had to catch our return train in the afternoon, we had to accept his dictates. On 13 -12-13, the weather of Pune was very chilly.The temperature was around 10 degree.We had an AC taxi booking. We expected the driver to use heater in such a situation.But the he, opened the front door for the wind to pass causing serious inconvenience to me n my wife.My wife is still suffering for that torture.After returning to Pune station, he gave me a bill for 280 Kms. I made the payment with protest n returned.This morning I was asked by the company to give a feedback.After I mentioned about the harassment of the driver, I received a call from clear car rental through cell no.[protected]. He promised to get back after talking to the driver. I want an unconditional apology from clear car rental n return of my money for breach of contract ( not using the heater in the morning n opening the front door window which caused my wife's illness) Kindly take up the matter with all seriousness.
