CMDA — Reg: Still No actions Taken for these issues

Respected Sir/Madam,

I submitted an RTI application bearing No. MUNIC/R/2026/60281 regarding the complaint concerning the alleged encroachment, unauthorised utilisation and permanent construction in the common parking/driveway area at No. 9, Pavithra Nagar, Sennirkuppam, Poonamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur District, Survey No. 103/41.

In connection with this matter, the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) had already issued an official letter dated 17.08.2026 forwarding my complaint to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO), Poonamallee, for verification and necessary action, with a request to furnish an Action Taken Report (ATR) to CMDA.

However, despite the CMDA communication, the BDO and the Government Surveyor, or any other concerned Revenue/Local Body/Planning Authority officer, have not visited the site and conducted a proper comprehensive field inspection and survey. Therefore, the actual position at the site has still not been properly verified by the competent authorities.

The issue is not merely about parking. It concerns the alleged occupation and permanent construction in an area stated to be a common parking/driveway area. Therefore, proper field verification is necessary to determine the actual position and to verify the relevant approved layout, building plan, planning permission and revenue/survey records.

I respectfully request that the information relating to the action taken on my RTI application MUNIC/R/2026/60281 be provided, including the following:

Whether the BDO, Government Surveyor or any other concerned government officer has visited and inspected the site.
If any inspection was conducted, kindly provide the inspection report, survey report and related records.
If no inspection was conducted, kindly provide the recorded reason for the same.
Provide copies of correspondence/orders issued to the BDO, Surveyor and other concerned officials regarding this complaint.
Provide the Action Taken Report submitted to CMDA, if any.
Provide the present status of the complaint and the action proposed to be taken.

I am a working person and it is difficult for me to visit government offices repeatedly. I therefore request that the necessary information and action be communicated to me through online/email mode wherever possible.

Most importantly, I respectfully request CMDA to take necessary action on the complaint and its letter dated 17.08.2026, and to ensure that the concerned authorities conduct an actual field inspection and survey before arriving at any conclusion.

I further request that the complaint should not be closed merely on the basis of telephone conversations or verbal assurances. The matter may kindly be treated as resolved only after the competent authorities conduct the necessary inspection, take appropriate action and provide a written Action Taken Report.

I kindly request that the matter may be taken up urgently and necessary action may be initiated by the competent authority.
