[Resolved]  CMDA — Illegal construction in chennai

Respected Sir,
I would like to compliant on the Irregular construction in guindy. Am a resident of SP Kailash apartment, Race view colony extn. Next to my apartment on 16/B, Vallauvar Street, Race colony extn guindy a Irregular construction is coming up. As per CMDA rule Section 25 planning parameters Table 1 ( ordinary residential building and other small buildings ) they should construct at least abutting 1 m from all the sides including front side .But on the above address they not even a left 1 feet in all the sides and including front road side . In fact on the front side from the Corporation lamp post only half a feet has been left and the major part of the building coming up on the very close to road.
On the above I have already given a complaint to Mr.Murali AE Of Chennai Corporation on the irregularities. Due irregular construction there is No Room for proper ventilation and lighting in our apartment. Due to structure entire Light and ventilation blocked to our apartment and as well as to Next apartments in the area.
My sincere request to enforcement cell to visit the location and restrict the construction and insist them to follow up the rules laid by the CMDA .

I am in near loyods colony Elephant tank 6th street, royapettha, chennai.Here no.11, Elephant tank 6th street construction is going on.what's the problem is the street is only 3 feet.One floor itself is O.K. They are constructing the 4th floor.I do not know how is it possible.Oppostie line also houses.some of them 3 or 4 floors. Is it correct?
sir in my street one man was hacket the corporation land and he extended the house and also his house also in corporation land pls take action no one was taking action in my surrounding please u come and see sir i know u will to a good plessure

sir in Royapuram MS Kovil street, plot not 162 their are building with G+3 structure, that too with a 7' corridor like passage for nearly 6 building. i dont know whether they have building approval for it.. kindly take action for all irregularly constructed building. its not safe if Fire or pollution or any bad event takes place...

I would like to compliant on the Irregular construction in Purasawalkam where I reside. Am a resident of The Illegal construction work is going on 59 & 60 Saravana Perumal Street. As per CMDA rule Section 25 planning parameters Table 1 ( ordinary residential building and other small buildings ) they should construct at least abutting 1 m from all the sides including front side .But on the above address they not even a left 1 feet in all the sides and including front road side .

On the above we have already given a complaint to Chennai Corporation Counsellaor Ward 71 on the irregularities. Due irregular construction there is No Room for vechile movment, proper ventilation and lighting in our area.
My sincere request to enforcement cell to visit the location and restrict the construction and insist them to follow up the rules laid by the CMDA .

APPEALS POINTING OUT EVEN COMMERCIAL STRUCTURES

In Karunanidhi 3rd Street in KOTTUR (Dn 138) G+4 Floors is under Construction illegally. No Govt control over this and the Corpn AE is not careing theis umauthorised activities

There is a hopital construction which is happening at 7th cross street, Rajalakshmi Nagar, Velachery, Chennai 42[close to bye pass road] in which there are no set back on all four sides for the kind of height which is basement+3floors which is not allowed in a 30ft road. Also in a primary residential zone classification how can cmda give permission for construction of such a big hospital. Because of this reason whole of the road is blocked with building materials. The owner of the property least cares about the public and highly arrogant in his attitude. The local corporation AE takes bribe from them and ignorant about all these. We kindly request you to look into this otherwise We are left with no other option either to approach the press or honarary court where we get justice.

Despite making several compalints about the hospital project coming up in 7th cross street, Rajalakshmi Nagar, Velachery, Chennai 600 042 seems that no action has been taken and still continue to complete the project on a 24 / 7 basis causing the same hindrance to the residents around and whole of the Road is occupied with the building material and any request to remove the same is gone in vain. We request you to take steps forthwith to protect us from inconvenience.

This being the third remainder to cmda officals regard to the illegal construction of the hospital coming up in 7th cross street, Rajalakshmi nagar, Velachery. We really wonder the power of money plays in every department helps notorious people to take laws as per their own wish. Is cmda is sleeping or any action is taken.Requesting cmda to take action forthwith otherwise we approach the judiciary to solve the issue
sir, We residents of the above streets bring it to your notice about the unauthorized hospital construction happening at 7th cross street, Rajalakshmi Nagar, Velachery, Chennai 600 042. There has been no set back or parking space within the building, moreover two extra floors have been violated from the approved sanction plan. We wonder how there can be a permission to construct hospital in such an residential area like this. Whole of the road is blocked by them with the building materials and garbages by them causing lot of hindrance to the general public. Traffic block is a everyday scene in our street. We fear that once this is functional there will be no space in the Road which would be fully parked by patients coming to the hospital leaving residents like us [most of the people are senior citizens] in difficulty and lurch. We request the authorities concerned to stop the construction immediately so that our interest is protected. There has been endeavour from their end to obtain electricity and water drainage connection for the violated building. We request the concerned authorities to do the needful forthwith otherwise we have no other option but for to approach the judiciary.

I would like to complaint on illegal construction by the shop below in my appartments on Konnur highroad ayanawaram even after repeated complaints to police and authorities the shopkeepers have violted the rules and have constructed building in the common area and govt property pls take immediate action other widse they will complete the construction and will obtain stay in the court after constructing.

Hi.. IS it true that for construction of an Apartment upto two floors, Panchayat approval is sufficient. If the Builder is planning to construct above 3 floors, then CMDA approval is necessary. Is that statement is true?

if you have got any complaint of illegal construction, which affects your personal life/property, you may send the complaint to the cmda under registered post ack.due and if you do not receive any positive action from them, you can file a writ petition in the madras high court seeking a direction against cmda to comply with your complaint and if your writ is justifiable, the court may issue directions to the cmda to dispose of your complaint within a specfic time. please try, if you can.
