100Bestbuy.com — Consumer misguidance and cheating | |||
I participated in online contest at 100bestbuy for 990 Rs and bought a Tshirt. One month later, I got a phone call informing me that I have won the prize a samsung galaxy S3 phone. Then I was told that I need to buy a watch and a flash disk 4Mb for 1222 Rs and I will get 50% discount on purchase and my original 990 Rs will be refunded as I have won. I said yes. One hour later, someone called me again and I asked when will the phone be sent and then the operator said that I havent won yet and I will have to pay 1222 Rs and purchase more stuff as above and then I will stay in the context for next month. I was furious. This is outright cheating. I would understand if I dont win I had already forgotten about the contest. But then someone tries to make a fool of you the second time and this is really bad. I think a full investigation should be done on this website, their business model, how do they cheat people and then they should be punished. I am going to lodge a complaint against them in the local police station and lets see what happens. Was this information helpful? | |||
