[Resolved] Accenture — Harassment by collection agents of HDFC Bank | |
Dear Sir My name is Tina. I was an employee of Accenture Services in Chennai. I hold a HDFC gold credit card and have also taken a personal loan from HDFC. I resigned from my job in May 2008 and I am currently in Riyadh with my husband. After I resigned from my job I had some issues in making payment for the loan and credit card. There has been delay in making payments but the payments happened. Now for the last 2 mths payment for the personal loan was not made. As I am not in Chennai, I'm unable to deposit the money in my account. But the HDFC collection agents are harassing my mother and brotherm using abusive language to them and even threatening them. This is not the way in which an agent should talk. Agreed that we have not paid for 2 months but dont you inform your agents that they are supposed to talk in a courteous way??? My mother and brother are being tortured by them. they keep calling at odd hours of the day and just land up at my residence like as though i have not paid for 2 years, This is not the way any bank employee behaves. I have friends who have taken loans from other banks and who have also not paid for a couple of months but they dont get harassed like this. My mother and brother are living in fear because of the way the agents talk to them and behave. Inspite of telling them that I will settle the amount after I come to India in March they are not willing to listen and speak very very rudely. Let me know what I should do. should I file a complaint against these people?? are you going to take any action from your side?? This is definitely not the way you treat your customers. I have an account with your bank for more than 3 years and a default in payment for 2 mths does not mean i'm going tot cheat you. I have made correct payment for the last 2 years, I request you to pls look into this and see what can be done. Was this information helpful? | |

Yes, but in case if there is specific unparliamentary words used against your family, just file a legal notice and ask the bank to send an apology letter along with some compensation.Till that time, do not pay a single pie.I experienced this and the bank guys are literally begging me now.
