[Resolved] Acer Aspire 5738 — defective keyboard of laptop[

hi sir i purchased a laptop on saturday,[protected] and then i came home, when i used my laptop on 16-08-09 then i found the the "L" key of the keyboard was broken. so on 17-08-09 i went to the shop from where i have purchased the laptop and enquired about this matter, they asked me to go to the service center, and when i went there they said me that i have to pay Rs500/- for the replacement of keyboard which originally came broken to me by ACER. so as being a customer of acer i want assistance in this matter, and i am pretty much disturbed by having a defective laptop in my hand. the laptop model is acer aspire 5738, this is highly emberrecing for me. kindly help me in this issue.and contact me at [protected] Was this information helpful? My aspire 5738 laptop has a problem with its pointer movement by means of its touch-pad, which i have purchased in nov'09. Further I would also like to know how the fingureprint security system works. Your reply is eagerly awaited.

I 've got a similar problem too... The touch pad doesnt respond to tapping...(i.e. double clicking). The icon doesn't get highlighted when I tap over it. I installed the drivers correctly (ALPS pointing device). Please help me.

320GB hdd
Intel Core 2 duo processor
