I am also having the same Acer Extensa-4220 model Laptop, I am using it since 1 year, till date i did'nt had such problem.

Its fantastic and good laptop. I had upgraded the RAM to 2GB 800Mhz. And its working fine.

Acer — restarting

System shut downs automatically while working. once it shutdown it will not restart for day.
