[Resolved]  Adith Multilingual — Non-payment

This company was not paying well to their project takers, simply avoiding or they will ask us to work whole project and not pay the money. For me I am a tamil translator, They called me set a dead-line, I set one dead line to them, before the deadline they insist to gimme the project, after a week I asked them about the money they simply said that the project was rejected, they doesn't paid about 13, 000 Rs. Not only for me they deceived lots of translators in this deed.

Be careful before working for this translation company.

Dear sir,
Adith Multilingual is a and non payment company. I've a due payment amount Rs. 30, 000 at their part. But they are not paying after asking again and again.

What should I do.
Regards
S. Chandra
Hi Chandra
There is a lots of difference between teen and ty I mean Thirteen and Thirty. We the translators raise the voice against them to put a campaign like that. I heard that they are developed from the initial stage looking after thecall centre coaching centre, adith graphics etc.,

I already made the request to all translations website to not give their website in their listings, now next move is to get in google to stop their searching services not only google, also in msn, yahoo &bing.

Atleast these ways they won't make it for another translator.

Regards,
Jonathan
Dear Sumana,

What about replying to MY comments?

I clearly indicate my name and say I have never been paid even $1 by your company (and you owe me more than $3000), so give me an answer.
Besides there was never any quality problem with my translations!

So please give me an explanation and forward the payment to me.

Thanks,

Julien Solidoro
These Adith Multilingual people are cons. I have done 3 files for them in the months of March09 and April 09. But I have managed to get my dues. The total amount due was just 4, 275/= after repeated telephonic calls and mail they have sent the payment by 2 cheques in the month of July 09. The cheques were signed by a lady named 'Shobana'.
Around September 09, they called me over phone to assign a job for me. I demanded advance payment. They refused.

A thread has been started in the site

http://www.translatorsgroup.com/forum/topics/adith-multi-lingual-services-p?comm...

There also we can see some pathetic stories of the translators.
We have to cooperate together against them.

Check this site: www.adithmultilingual.blogspot.com

Adith must pay. There are several options, from informal boycotts to web and media pressure. And then, of course, the Indian Courts. Cheaters should never win.
I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU ALL. MANY OF YOU SEEM TO BE FOREIGNER TRANSLATORS, WHO ARE RELATIVELY EASY TO DECEIVE (OR SO THE COMPANY THINKS). BUT I AM BASED IN PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA. I HAVE BEEN DUPED BY THIS COMPANY FOR INR 20000.

I AM A ENGLISH<> MARATHI<>HINDI TRANSLATION PROFESSIONAL. THE COMPANY HAS NOT PAID ME FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS. BUT I AM NOT GOING TO SIT TIGHT AND SUFFER. I AM ALREADY EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THIS COMPANY. TODAY I RECEIVED EMAIL FROM AN AMERICAN TRANSLATOR, MARTIN, WHO SAYS HE HAS BEEN DUPED FOR US$3000.
Hi All,

Please note that Adith Multilingual is really a very fraud company. Our experience is that they don't pay at all even after appreciating the work.

We don't know who is this Jagdish B, but since last 5-6 months, we were being contacted by Mr. Shyju ([protected]@adithmultilingual.com) and Sunitha ([protected]@adithmultilingual.com) for translation. They gave us a number of big projects without paying a single penny, but we completed them on time. The first instance was they asked us to sign an agreement on Rs. 100 stamp paper. It was during August / September 2009. After this, they told us that the payments will be sent after October 15, 2009. We waited and in the meantime, also done a lot of projects for them.

The POs were sent to us earlier by Selvam J ([protected]@adithmultilingual.com) and later by Sumana ([protected]@adithmultilingual.com) and Vijaya ([protected]@adithmultilingual.com). Please note that Selvam J and Vijaya used the same email ids.

During the time, they always appreciated the work done by us and also took a number of help as 'favours' for which, we never billed them.

Later, on contacting for the payment, they said to wait till November 15, 2009, then again till December 15, 2009 and finally till January 15, 2010. But they never paid a single penny for the work done. Now, they also don't reply to our mail messages.

It is the badluck for us, the translators, that we are not taking any action against such a fraud company which is cheating the translators and vendors continously. We should surely take an action and file a law suit against it with all the evidences.

Hope that this company will no longer be able to cheat more people, and of course, we are also putting their name on our website "www.anuwaadak.com" as a non-payer and fraud company.

We also request you all to kindly send us the emails at [protected]@anuwaadak.com for the companies who cheat the translators and vendors like this.

Thanks,

Anuwaadak... The Translator!!!
You can be sure that you have my fully support. I have been deceived from them three months ago and they still don't answer on my emails. If there are any new actions about them, please notify me via email: [protected]@neobee.net.
I agree with the previous comments. I did 4 translation jobs for Adith Multilingual in winter/spring 2008/9, and they still haven't paid me. Initially I thought they were just slow in paying their freelance translators, but after about 30 phone calls and a number of e-mails asking about the payments (which I still haven't received, and now it's been almost a year!) I came to the conclusion that they have NO INTENTION TO PAY. I have contacted a couple of debt collection agencies, but to this day their efforts have been in vain. Adith Multilingual owes me nearly 3, 000USD, so I'm determined to get my money - sooner or later, and in a way or another. I'm preparing all the documents and my claim to sue them. I've also contacted a few other (disappointed) translators who have yet to receive their dues.

Dear Adith Multilingual, if you want to stay in business, start paying your translators! Now! Otherwise I can assure you that we will definitely discredit your agency and nobody will ever work for you again. I have posted comments about your non-payment practice on several translators' forums. In case you pay me, I will consider removing the posts. I just want to get my money and go on with my life. Come on, guys.

YOU ARE A SCAM! Translators, beware!
I have never been paid, sent very strongly-worded mails to them and and gave them damning reviews whenever I could and yet I still get jobs offered by these crooked imbeciles, even in language pairs I do not work with!
That's how serious and organised they are. They have even lost track of the people they have cheated. KEEP AWAY
I translate between Tamil and English. I have been working with Adith Multilingual Services for some time now. It is comfortable to take up assignments from companies like them. They operations and dealings are on clear terms. For example, a little while back, I had completed a complex English document for them. A few days later, they came back with a list of corrections demanded by the client. In due course, I had completed all the changes and returned the file. After a week later, I was informed of the approval of the client. I was also informed thatI would receive my payment within 15days. Today is the 15th day and yesterday, I received the cheque for my final and complete payment!
It is wonderful to work with such companies like Adith Multilinguals.
Receipt of payment

I was contacted by Jagdish for an article writing assignment, where I accepted the work and carried with the project by writing 20 articles. Since the project is for UK based company and the terms of glossary is very difficult to follow some of my articles got rejected, which I have to accept as completely as lack o[censored]nderstanding with the requirement.

Though my 15 articles are rejected they paid me for the rest 5 articles as token of respect to my hard work

Since I am associated with them for many article writing projects, they paid me on time for many other projects, with respect to this project as there were payment issue from client side due to rejection of articles they explained the same to us for the delay in the payment

I have done web content writing and article writing in the month of November for Adith, which I received my payment with in 30 days as per the terms and conditions.

I am thankful for the support they extended for all these years to continue my fruitful career in writing

Those frauds dont pay up!!! Its as simple as that!!! I have done 5 jobs for them from last May!!! Not a single penny has been paid in spite of repeated phone calls & mails... They simple indulge in the blame game...

Pls dont accept any work from Adith Multilingual Company...Once they are done with you they find some other new translator to cheat..
These people (usually Sumana) will come up with all sorts of excuses for non-payment over and over again. You keep giving them the benefit of the doubt…. Internal problems….. Court issues….. Client didn’t pay which really doesn’t affect any translator because the translator’s contract is with Adith, not the client. Like I said, they are all just excuses for a world wide scam and it needs to stop. We, the translators, may never see part or any of the money we’re due but we can make life very difficult for them. I actually got some money paid (they pay into your bank account and YOU pay for charges at their end and your end; also they force you to get a “Notary Seal”, which costs $70 and only after many emails they first agree to pay half and then decide not to pay for this at all or agree to pay with a next payment, like I’m gonna work for them again……) What I’ve been doing is the following: Send an email with your payment demand to the following email addresses:
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
[protected]@adithmultilingual.com
Then repeat this process by resending the email 10 times or more if possible.
This will ultimately overload their email inboxes and will stop them from doing any more business or trying to rip off any more translators.
Hello All
I COMPLETELY agree with each and every word of this post and more. These people have no work ethics. I am a professional Italian<>English translator and worked with them on many occasions. Initially they were paying late whatever (very low rate) that was agreed upon. Last time, somewhere in 2008 they asked me to do some translation for them the bill for which is somewhere around 40000 INR. They have not even paid a single ruppee out of that. I have called and emailed them many times. Almost every month but to no avail. I have all their emails and Purchase Orders. They are the biggest CHEATERS I have worked with. Please guys do whatever but do not work with them.
Also of late they said if I signed a non-disclosure agreement with them they would pay me. I went to court and prepared the agreement on stamp paper, signed it and sent it all at my own cost but they never even replied to my emails.

I'm a Brazilian translator and I was deceived by Adith Multilingual too. There was a document to be translated urgently and Sunitha contacted me to do the job. I've been working with translation for 5 years so I don't usually trust companies. I translated the document and sent only a few pages and asked them to send me 50% of the payment in advance. The woman became desperate and kept on sending me e-mails, telling me that I was going to be paid in 45 days! That is ridiculous! But, as it was the first time I was working for India, I made an exception. Bad move. It's been 4 months and I was not paid yet. And last week, Priya sent me an e-mails offering another job. My answer was...pay me first and then we'll talk.

It is a shame I was not aware of these complaints before. Spread the news, Adith Multilingual is a bad company.
I am a German translator and Adith Multilingual deceived me too. They haven't paid the invoice I sent in January of 290 $, then they wanted me to do a project of about 10000 words. I told them to pay me the overdue invoice first, but they kept making excuses about auditings in their office and therefore I'd have to wait until May 4th. Of course they didn't pay the invoice then either.

Translators, be aware. DO NOT work for AdithMultilingual. They are nothing but a bunch of cheaters!!!
Adith Multilingual is nothing but a bunch of CROOKS who would do anything for money... I have been sending them 20+ e-mails EVERY DAY since May, thus overloading their e-mail boxes, and they have promised to pay me in June.. Well, now it's June, and... surprise... they still haven't made the payment. I've obviously continued to send them 20+ e-mails every day, and I won't stop until they pay me. I can go on for years, I've got ADSL connection at home... ;)
They owe me nearly 3, 000 USD, so I'm determined to get my money...

This is why I don't trust Indian agencies! I've worked with 4 Indian translation agencies, and well, 3 of them have paid me (weeks late!), and Adith Multibonkers just keep on coming up with ridiculous excuses for non-payment..

I repeat: Whatever you do... DO NOT ACCEPT WORK FROM ADITH MULTILINGUAL!!!

I have never been paid by Adith I have done 4 big projects for them working the entire night to meet the deadline. I have never checked their reputation and that was my mistake. I will find a way to inform everybody how dishonest that company is! I hope Karma will work its way to them!
